This document outlines the steps for a best practices activity conducted by the AITRC cell at VITA. It discusses:
1. The introduction and objectives of the activity which is to achieve goals efficiently and enhance tools/techniques through collaborative problem solving.
2. The activity involves forming groups that identify problems, analyze causes, develop innovative solutions, implement them, and report results.
3. A 9-step process is described which includes problem identification, selection, analysis, cause/effect analysis, solution development, implementation, and reporting. Regular monitoring and meetings are required.
The goal is to improve processes and find measurable outcomes for problems through research and innovative tools.

8. Steps in Best Practices Activity
1. Problems identification:
Institutional theme- Common theme is decided at Institute level and all
participated groups should be work on same theme.
Development of any product which is to be commercializes
2. Problem selection:
Problem selection is to be selected by using appropriate method like rating
method, by conducting various surveys, brain storming etc.
3. Problem definition:
Problem definition so clear that, it reflect all the aspects of the identified
problem.
4. Problem analysis:
Problem analysis is to be done by appropriate findings or parameters.
5. Cause - effect analysis:
Identification of root causes of the selected problem and its effect analysis
is to be done properly and systematically (Why Why Analysis).

9. 6. Development of solution:
Expansion of solution is to be in line with the root causes, which are
recognized by cause-effect analysis.
7. Implementation of solution:
Properly accomplishment of solution is to be done with the measurable
outcomes.
8. Report of the activity:
Drafting of report as per guidelines provided with proper coverage of all the
steps in a logical way.
9. Final Presentation:
Presentation should contain high integrity and confidence with the future
