SMCP adalah sekumpulan frasa kunci dalam Bahasa Inggris yang
merupakan Bahasa laut yang diakui secara Internasional), didukung oleh
komunitas internasional dan digunakan di laut dan dikembangkan oleh
International Maritim Organizatioan (IMO).
Definition:
SMCP digunakan bertujuan:
Frase komunikasi eksternal-komunikasi kapal ke kapal dan kapal ke darat.
Frase komuniaksi di atas kapal, serta frase komunikasi di dalam kapal.

Requesting Medical Assistance
1. Call an ambulance (119) after performing first aid, but if there are 2 or
more people, ask someone else to call while you provide help.
2. When asking someone else to call an ambulance, don't shout aimlessly.
Shout at one specific person, preferably the first person you see,
shouting without direction will confuse others.
3. When calling an ambulance for medical assistance, state:

1. Rhytm
Rhytm is the use of stressed and unstressed syllables,
which creates what you experience as a pattern of
beats in the sound of the words.
Jadi, Ritme adalah penekanan/tidak silabel variasi
elemen kuat dan lemah dari suara yang berhubugan
dengan durasi ataupun aksen dalam pengucapan.

2. Contrastive Stress
Contrastivestress digunakan untuk menunjukkan
perbedaan antara 1 objek dengan objek lainnya.
Biasanya fungsi ini digunakan dengan kata-kata
seperti ‘this, that, these dan those’.
Contoh: 1. I think I prefer this color.
2. Do you want these or those curtains?
Contrastive stress juga digunakan untuk memberikan
perbedaan makna pada kata-kata yang kita tekankan.

Reporting Injury and Medical Assistance at Sea
Company : This is the vessel's operating and/or
owning Company.
Incident : This is an uncontrolled or unplanned event,
or sequence of events, that results in a
fatality or injury to a seafarer onboard ship or
whilst ashore on company business.
Note: This excludes
• suicide or attempted suicide
• criminal or terrorist activity
• a deliberate act on the part of another
individual.
• incidents which occur off the ship but
where the consequences appear onboard
at some later time.
Work Injury :
This is any sign or symptom of physical damage
or impairment to any part of the body directly
resulting from an incident, regardless of the
length of time between the incident and the
appearance of the injury.
Medical Treatment Case (MTC) :
This is any work-related loss of consciousness
(unless due Case (MTC) to ill health), injury or
illness requiring more than first aid treatment by
a physician, dentist, surgeon or registered
medical personnel, e.g. nurse or paramedic
under the standing orders of a physician, or
under the specific order of a physician or if at
sea with no physician onboard could be
considered as being in the province of a
physician.
