1. Topic : Which is more important to success : hard work or luck?
Work is something we do in every single day. Working so hard is the effort
to get something we really want to. When we wanted something, we will always
think about it and we do anything to get it. It is named the effort. Hard-working
is the persistence for getting goals in this life. Persistence is something we do every
day in reaching our dream and we do it continuously without grumble. Hard-
working also needs to hope. Hope can help us for always dreaming about the goals.
For example, we have a goal that we want to be a very good singer someday.
So, for chasing the goal, we have to learn and practice so many songs and all things
about it. That is our effort. We will learn and practice, learn and practice, and we
do it continuously, and we never complain it. It is named persistence. We must
hope whenever. We must dream about our goal, because, it can increase our effort
to reach that goal. And all of these are named hard-working.
Besides hard-working, luck is a good fate, which is given by God. Fate is
things, good or even bad, which will always happen at the right time as God wants.
We will never know our fate, exactly. If that were good things happened, we were
luck. If that were not, we did not get the luck at that time. But, we still can get
luck at our right time. God will choose the right time to make it happen.
For me, luck is based on our manners. One good manner can be a reason
why God wants to give the luck to the person. If we were a good person with good
manners, God would help us whenever. In that condition, we can be named a lucky
person.
Success is really needed by all people in the world. Everyone wants to be a
successful person. For reaching that, some people believe that they have to work
really hard as hard as possible as they can. But, some other people only believe in
their luck. Why it can be like that? No one knows about the answer exactly. But,
I can try to help you understand what the meaning of that.
Actually, I really do not know exactly which one is more important in
success between hard work and luck. This is really complicated for me to make
you understand, too. I just can explain with some cases in some conditions. There

2. are conditions that people have been tried, studied, worked so hard, and prayed
really serious, but they still cannot be successful people. They still have to work
again and again. Besides that, there are conditions when people sometimes never
tried anything, never worked so hard (as hard as the first condition of people I
have explained before), never wanted something too much, and just prayed to God
with their beautiful heart, then they can be more success than the first category
of people. Why it can happen to them? Yeah, it is named “FATE”.
When we discuss fate, we are also talking about Karma. My belief is
Hinduism. In my belief, there are three kinds of Karma:Sancita Karma, Prarabda
Karma, and Kryamana Karma. First, Sancita Karma, is talked about someone
who have done something in the past of the life before their death will get the
Karma in their life after death. It means like we have done something in our past,
then we will get our Karma today. Second, Prarabda Karma is discussed someone
who did something today, just a few hours ago, get the Karma in that day too. It
means like we did something, and we directly get our Karma. Third, Kryamana
Karma, is told us about someone who did something today will get Karma in the
next life after their death. It means like we did something today, then we will get
our Karma in the future. These three kinds of Karma are like the cycle of the life
of human being.
From my story in the sixth paragraph, I just can say that maybe the luck of
people is the Karma from their past-time. There is nothing impossible in this life.
So, it might be the people have done something good in their past life, and then
they got their Karma for what they have done before. We never know about it, and
of course we never realize it. We just have to believe in it. God makes our fate.
From that situations, I can say, hard work and luck are two similar things
which we have to believe in that for getting our success. We have to believe in our
luck. We do not even realize when we will get our luck, or maybe we have accepted
it in the past and we never realize it. There is always luck in this life. On the other
side, we also have to work very hard for raising our dreams and make it come true.
So, I think hard work and luck are the balanced important thing to success. I do

3. not know, which is more important because I think the two things are really
important to success.
Working hard can help us be a wonderful person in this life. One, hard-
working can make us understand how we can be a discipline person. Working so
hard can force us to make schedules in our life. Then, we have to follow the
schedules. From that moments, unconsciously, we are forced to be discipline. Two,
hard-working make us understand the meaning of hope and patient. When we try
so hard to make our dream come true, we persist everything we can do. We are
really serious in doing that until we forget our health. We get sick. Then, we know
that we are just human who need to rest, too. In that time, we feel like we cannot
continue our effort even though we have done half away in chasing the dream.
These moments make us remember that there is always a hope in what we are
doing. This can teach us to keep going slowly to reach the dream patiently.
Whether luck, luck is based on our Karma. So, it can teach us understand
what the meaning of Karma and fate. Luck can make us realize that all of these
success are only because of our Karma. Good or bad, need or not, easy or
complicated, and whatever the condition, we can reach the dream easily because
we are in our fate. None can have the same fate in their lives. Why? Because none
can do the same thing and get the same Karma. That is fate.
So, in my conclusion, between hard work and luck, there is no more
important to success. Both of them are really complement each other. Hard work
is a must thing we have to do when we want to be a successful person. We have to
learn so much about whatever we want to know. We work every day to get all
things we want. We persist our work. We do not have to complain when we did
something wrong. And then, luck is one thing we have to believe when we want to
reach our dream easily. We also have to believe in God. God will give us the luck
when its right time. For me, luck is also matters when we reach our dream be a
