IPC has been associated with women targeted magazines and mainly
focuses on middle aged women. The international publishing
corporation Ltd was formed in 1963 following the merger of the UK’s
tree leading magazine publishers- George Newnes, Odhams Press and
the Fleetway Publications who came together with the mirror group
to form the international publishing corporation (IPC). And IPC
magazines were created 5 years later in 1968. IPC would be a good
publisher for a new magazine as they have covered a wide range of
sub genres. By using IPC to publish a new magazine as they would be
able to promote the new artist. The type of genres that they are likely
to publish are indie rock. IPC magazines still continue to evolve and
improve to this day with the formation of five limited companies
based on the former publishing groups. IPC connect, IPC Southbank,
IPC tx, IPC ignite and IPC country and leisure Media.
