4. VIBE
• The kind of media institution that might distribute my
media product has to be ‘Vibe’. Vibe is a music and
entertainment magazine founded by producer Quincy
Jones. The publication predominantly features R&B and
hip-hop music artists, actors and other entertainers. The
above picture shows my media product (front
cover)which undoubtedly suits this media institution as
they have clear resemblance with the main image
which has an iconic feel as well as the big bold
masthead which makes both front cover stand out.
• This media institution is already distributing these kind of
magazines. With the tough competition out there it will
certainly be hard to persuade them that my magazine is
the one to distribute.
6. BAUER
• Bauer Media Group is a multinational media company
headquartered in Hamburg, Germany which operates in 16 countries
worldwide. Since the company was founded in 1875, it has been
privately owned and under management by the Bauer family. It was
formerly called Heinrich Bauer Verlag KG, abbreviated to HBV and
usually shortened to H. Bauer. Worldwide circulation of Bauer Media
Group's magazine titles amounts to 38 million magazines a week.
• As you can see above from the pictures, Kerrang which is published
by Bauer media institution is not like my magazine. The main image is
a mid shot, while mine is a close up only showing his face. Even
though the magazines are not the same music sub genre this is the
magazines Bauer tend to distribute. Bauer media group is one of the
largest if not biggest media institution which is quite a loss for me as I
would love to have my media product distributed world-wide.
