2. Woman of the ruins
Woman of the Ruins is directed by Keith Sicat, starring Alessandra de Rossi, Art Acuña and Peque Gallaga. The whole movie itself is a post-apocalyptic by Mr. Sicat.
The story started when Sol (Peque Gallaga) saw a woman in the shore of their island that was ruined by the storms and World War II and Pasyon (Art Acuna) who automatically claimed the woman as his wife and call her as Maria.
At first Pasyon is caring and sweet to Maria. But, Maria can’t remember anything and she didn’t believe that she is ‘Maria’ or Pasyon’s wife. It was the reason why Pasyon have the urge to capture and chained Maria to their house for her not to escape Pasyon’s side. This scene describes the theory of Attribution where basically explains how a person behave in such event. Like Pasyon did to Maria where he chained her because he doesn’t want Maria to be gone and leave his side again.
Next is when Maria can’t remember anything in her life it represents the theory of Uncertainty Reduction. Where all individuals in the island are ‘strangers’ for Maria, but day by day Maria started to love her character or herself rather even if she is not sure whether she is Maria or not she didn’t complain anymore and started to live as ‘Maria’.
And lastly, we all noticed that the island where Pasyon lives is locked with their old beliefs like too religious, not liberated etc. because their island has never had a visitor after the World War II and huge storms. In this scene, the Cognitive Dissonance Theory is applicable we can see the conflicts on the beliefs of the people in the island. In a religious place it is not good to hurt their wife physically and the residents are just ignoring the abuse of Pasyon does. Another thing is when almost all the guys who are living in that island raped Sabel and Maria. That causes Sabel to be out of her mind and cannot remember the faces of the men who take advantage on her body and took her to her death with the child of Pasyon and Maria.

SHIFT
‘Shift’ is a story of 2 people who graduated as Sociology major and the other one is Architecture who ends up being a Call Center Agent. Directed by Siege Ledesma starring Yeng Constantino and Felix Rocco.
The story itself centers to Estella which is played by Yeng Constantino a boyish type of girl and a no boyfriend since birth who fall in love to a Gay named Trevor (Felix Rocco). Trevor is her co-worker in the company they are working with and stands as her partner on their team and become her best friend after all.
3. The Interpersonal Deception Theory can be observed on the movie when Estela started to avoid Trevor because she felt that Trevor will never fall for her and Trevor has a boyfriend. But, the manipulating scene in there is between Trevor and the audiences who watch the film because he is trying to show that he likes Estela also he started to feel uneasy without Estela and he also ignores his boyfriend. But at the end of the story he only brings disappointment to the audience because he didn’t return the love of Estela
And the scene when those teams are competing to have the most number of sales of a product that they are selling they are using the Cognitive Dissonance Theory where they are talking to their clients and persuading them to buy their products.
And the time that Estela is hoping that someday the day will come and Trevor will like her back, because of the news that Trevor and his boyfriend broke up brought too much happiness in her life and their co-team started to tease them that at the end of the day they will end up together but her expectations ruined when Trevor met a new guy and became his new boyfriend and it’s the cause why she started to avoid Trevor this scene describes the theory of Expectancy Violation.

Blue Bustamante
Blue Bustamante a melo-dramacomedy film by Miko Livelo. Story of a father who tried his luck in Japan to be an Engineer but ends up as a stunt man of Blue Force on a TV show entitled ‘Force Five’. A low-budget film but still captures the heart and smiles of the audiences.
When George (Joem Bascom) arrived in Japan his family and friends knew that he is an engineer in there but, shit happens he was fired in the company he was working with. He wants to go home in the Philippines but his friend Roger (Jun Sabayton) helps him to have a job which is to be a stunt man of Blue Force. The problem is he didn’t want to disappoint his family in being an engineer to a stun man, so he lied to his family about his true job in Japan which shows the Interpersonal Deception Theory.
And because George is in a far place her wife (Dimples Romana) started to send him letter about their condition and with a reminder that he should behave and will not cheat on her or else she will kill him together with his girl. This scene explains the Theory of Attribution, it was the first time that George will leave his family to gain more income so that his wife keeps on reminding him not to cheat on her because of his fear that George might leave them if he met someone else.
4. Lastly, George is not comfortable on Red Force (co-force five) because of his look whenever he will see him. And because of their language barrier they can’t communicate well, but the time comes when Red Force talk to him and said that he can speak and understand English he explains why at first he doesn’t want George that’s because he is a very good friend of the first Blue Force and he is depressed with his lost. This scene is Uncertainty Reduction Theory, because of the language and depressed feeling they create a line between stranger to being friends.

Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon
Last week, October 16-17 2014 we are invited to watch the movies of Cinema One Originals which is composed of 5 movies plus the movie Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon which is one of the classic films digitized by the ABS-CBN's Archives Director Leo Katigbak, who gave a brief presentation on how restoration is happening and why are they doing that such thing at the Claro M. Recto Hall that day
Ganito kami noon, Paano kayo ngayon trying to imply that in the time of Spanish Colony we, Filipinos don’t know that we are a Filipinos like what Tibor (Eddie Garcia, the lawyer of Padre Gil Corcuera and Kulas) says that you will not be a Filipino if you are not rich and valuable person. And if you are a normal citizen you are called as ‘Indios’. Other man says that the main criteria to be a Filipino are if you were born in the Philippines whether you are a Chinese or Spaniards.
Diding (Gloria Diaz) is the love interest of Kulas in the movie. She is what we called ‘Social Climber’ in today’s generation. Because when she first saw Kulas in their journey as a theater artist she don’t have any feelings for him. But, when Kulas gained to much blessings she is automatically turned on for him. Then, Tibor came which is richer and have too many connections that can help Diding to achieve her dream to become an International Actress she forgot all her love for Kulas in just a second and leave the house of Kulas for Tibor.
The last line that Christopher De Leon (Kulas) delivered is really the words that leave a place in my mind which is he said to the children who doesn’t know their identities that “Tandaan niyo to, Lahat tayo Pilipino.” Afer he leaves his love for Diding (Gloria Diaz) to fight for his love to our country and join the Insurrectos.
Well, obviously the theory that is used in the said movie is no other than Interpersonal Deception Theory. First proof is where Kulas is looking for Diding in Tibor’s mansion and Tibor keep on telling Kulas that he don’t know where Diding is and he is willing to help Kulas to
5. look for his love. But, unfortunately when Kulas is almost leaving Diding come out on Tibor’s house and said that she will never be on Kulas’ side. Next is those Filipinos who are trying to look like a Spaniards for them to called Elite and Wealthy they are willing to sacrifice everything even their own identity.
