Markets (GMT) group. The risk applications that collate, calculate and report Market Risk parameters are developed

Oracle bid process is robust and goes through multi level reviews and approvals. Post merger of erstwhile i-Flex with
Oracle, it was strongly felt to maintain uniformity and consistency in the bid process and Work Order agreement that
shared with customer. Formation of centralized Bid Management group is an initiative by OFSS PrimeSourcing division
(PSD) in collaboration with Oracle FSGBU unit to establish and streamline Oracle bid process within OFSS PSD.
Objective of this group is to handle renewal and new business where SOW is agreed with customer.
In order to have better control on the renewal bid process and co-ordination within the stakeholders the centralized
OFSS PSD bid team is further organized into Citibank and Rest of the World (ROW). Citibank is the largest account and

located in London, England. In order to be compliant to central bank of UK mandate to publish the financial reports
compliant to IAS standard, RBS had developed in-house a MS Access based system. The system wasn’t equipped to
handle multi users, forecasting analysis, automated IRR (Internal Rate of Return) & NPV (Net Present Value)
calculation and future expansion.
Hence RBS initiated group wide program (covering retail, investment, corporate and private wealth management)
named Revenue Recognition to develop an efficient, robust and scalable system to help the bank in preparing
consolidated financial statements & disclosures in accordance with International Accounting Standards (IAS).
