Workshop
An accomplished investment executive and philanthropist, Arthur “Art” J. Samberg is the founder of
Hawkes Financial, LLC, a family-run office with headquarters in Katonah, New York. Involved in a
number of nonprofits, Art J. Samberg serves as a board member of Peer Forward, an organization that
provides a path for students from low-income backgrounds to apply to college.

3. Peer Forward Hosts College and Career Readiness
Workshop
Peer Forward helps high school students understand how earning a college degree can open career
pathways for them. Peer Forward team members hold outreach events for students, such as the
College and Career Readiness Workshop that was attended by high schoolers at Charles H. Flowers
High School in Prince George’s County, Maryland, in January 2019. The event featured technical
education sessions, financial aid workshops, and student assessments.

The event also featured an informative question-and-answer session entitled, “Positive Peer Influence:
Navigating High School for 8th and 9th Graders.” Students were able to ask questions about student
life and how to handle the situations they will encounter in their high school experience.
