Art Samberg, an alumnus of Columbia Business School who led major hedge funds, donated $25 million to help build the school's new Manhattanville Campus in New York City. The campus, designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro and under construction since 2008, will feature two buildings totaling 492,000 square feet to create more learning space and a high-tech environment for Columbia Business School students. It will be shared with other Columbia schools and is scheduled to fully open in 2021.

2. Introduction
• Arthur “Art” Samberg, a prominent investment professional in
charge of the family office Hawkes Financial, formerly led Pequot
Capital Management, which at one point was the largest hedge fund
in the world. Prior to launching his career, he earned an MBA from
Columbia Business School. Over the years, Art J. Samberg has
donated millions of dollars to his alma mater. He recently pledged
$25 million to advance curriculum and help the school build its new
Manhattanville Campus.
Designed by New York-based architecture firm Diller Scofidio +
Renfro, Columbia Business School’s Manhattanville facilities have
been under construction since 2008. When completed, the campus
will feature two buildings comprising approximately 492,000
square feet of space in New York City’s West Harlem community.

3. Columbia Business School
• In addition to creating more space per student, the
facilities will provide a high-tech, collaborative learning
environment and support the school’s efforts to offer an
unmatched student experience. On the Manhattanville
site, Columbia Business School will be joined by
Columbia’s School of the Arts, the Mind, Brain, and
Behavior Institute, the School of International and
Public Affairs, and the Jerome L. Greene Science Center.
As construction continues, several campus facilities are
already functioning. Columbia Business School will
officially open the campus in 2021. More information
