please help me with this question too Solution light is electromagnetic but sound is not. Sound waves exist as variations of pressure in a medium such as air. They are created by the vibration of an object, which causes the air surrounding it to vibrate. The vibrating air then causes the human eardrum to vibrate, which the brain interprets as sound. so these are just physical disturbance waves and they are transverse waves means direction of propagation is perpendicular to vibration of waves. Light consists of both electric and magnetic fields which are perpendicular to each other and are synchronised and travel at speed of light.

They are created by the vibration of an object, which causes the air surrounding it to vibrate. The vibrating air then causes the human eardrum to vibrate, which the brain interprets as sound. so these are just physical disturbance waves and they are transverse waves means direction of propagation is perpendicular to vibration of waves. Light consists of both electric and magnetic fields which are perpendicular to each other and are synchronised and travel at speed of light
