3. Persuasive writing is a form of writing that tries to
persuade the readers of the author’s opinions or beliefs.
4. Purpose: to give an opinion, to persuade or convince an audience
Organization: persuasive writing is organized into beginning, middle,
and end
Beginning: the beginning presents the background
information & states the point of view or position
Middle: the middle presents the argument/ provides support
for the statement
End: the end or conclusion summarizes the key facts &
reinforces the argument
