I kept telling my self that I had plenty of time left and that I would find a placement eventually (which in my case was almost never!). I was now
back at school and did nothing over the half term. My parents were nagging me to get my placement sorted, as well as my tutor and Mrs. Lunan! I
decided I had to do something now or I will have nothing to do; I got out the yellow pages out and the first pages I looked at were the Sports

LeKisha was showing up to the group meetings in the beginning but then she missed some group meetings do to getting her hair done, celebrating

The field of social work has experienced an increased awareness of the need to advanced in both educational and professional development. I realize
that preparation for this career actually includes a great deal of required coursework and hours of field experience. My fieldwork is central to my
learning and serves as an integrative experience in which I use what was previously learned in class and apply it to my practice experience.
I am currently in a very rewarding field study at the Osborne Association, Training to Work Program. Training to Work offers mentorship and
opportunities to both men and women who are on work release. The program is designed to reduce the rate of recidivism and to assist participants in
gaining meaningful employment and trainings. This experience requires considerable amount of meeting with participants and providing support,
empowerment and advocacy.
My supervisor is a central feature of my field experience as she ensures the integration and application of knowledge, theory and skill that was taught
in the classroom. Each week my supervisor who is very skilled and encouraging provides a one–hour supervision session where process recordings are

1.What did you learn about doing research? While conducting my research on abortion, I learned that there were different types of medical procedures
that abortionist utilized when aborting an embryo and fetus. However, I was familiar with what an abortion is, but never imagined the grotesque,
inhumane, and heinous techniques used to abort a human being even at the late stages of pregnancy. After watching numerous online videos of these
procedures, I feel it is morally wrong to have an abortion because there are thousands of women that cannot have children and have exhausted all the

The Small Group Observation assignment provided the opportunity to experience a self–help group and better understand the intentions, purpose, and
functions of support groups. The particular group that I observed was provided through my field agency, Richland 2 School District, for all interns
serving as school social workers. The small group is considered a task group that is centered around giving an additional layer of support for graduate
students during their field placement experience. In addition, the group addresses the school setting, district expectations, processes events, and assists
when any stressful or unanticipated occasions occur throughout the semester. The group meets once monthly in a school conference room and

During this semester I had the opportunity of working in two different places. The first one was Imaginea Energy Group, an Oil and Gas company

Teamwork can be complex and challenging given task and interpersonal issues, level of group motivation and expected performance standards. The
concrete experience spoken about in this reflection piece is in reference to the effectiveness of myself as a group member and the group, working to
write a report outlining the organisation and structure of Volkswagen. Dennison (2009) applies Kolb's learning cycle (1981, 1984) which suggests that
learning moves through a continuous cycle, between having an experience, and then reflecting on that action. This cycle has been developed from
Lewin's (1951) model for experiential learning. Reflection termed by Boud, Keogh and Walker (1985) 'is a forum of response to the learner to
experience'(p. 18). On reflection, the early set group dynamics was a defining factor in the experience, and how the team conducted themselves
throughout the task. Meyerson, Wick and Kramer (1996) note that 'such rapidly converging groups require methods for developing "swift trust"' (p. 8),
which can explain why initial group dynamics are so important. I took on multiple team roles, including group leader, which could be translated into

The work that we have done so far has been great experience for all of us. And I think that it will give us an advantage when we are looking for

pointing out my bad experiences/ weaknesses within this topic I will be able to develop my knowledge further in the future. Below are a few of my
different experiences.
Good experiences
Through the completion of this module my ability to work within a group has been developed and through dealing with the arising group problems I
have learned more about time management. * Skills developed within this subject will certainly aid me within my future presentations and individual
work. * Presentation skills within Power–point were developed upon as members within my group had more knowledge of the presentation skills
within it and were able to help me develop my knowledge of different icons etc. * Through the use of research and development techniques used to
complete our documents I have developed more business strategic management skills.
Bad Experiences * The bad experiences with this task were few and far between however, I feel that a few members of my group were not at the same
learning level as me and found it hard to understand some of my recommendations. * As well as them not being able to understand my
recommendations it was tough when reading some of the group members inputs to different things as there work was documented at a lower

You will plan and complete the activity in teams. You will keep a reflectivefundraising diary before and after the activity.
P2, M1 and D1 will be all be assessed by your fundraising reflective diary plus any minutes, photos or video evidence of your fundraising activities.
Your diary should follow a reflective model, eg Gibbs.
Your fundraising diary should include information about: * Your planning in advance.
* Your consultation with others, those in your group and any other agencies you consult with.
* How the individual tasks are shared out and why.
* Monitoring of your progress towards the team goal. This will include things that don't get done!
* Identification of any of Belbin's team roles you think you AND others adopt with examples.
* A final team review of the activity at the end.
For M1 you should ensure your diary includes an assessment of how your contributions influenced the success of the fundraising
For D1 you should ensure your diary includes recommendations as to how you could have adapted your own contributions to the team to enhance the

success of the activity.
Task 3
