Dream Life And Reality In Ready Player One By Ernest Cline
Literature is a work of art that is fabricated with the fundamental purpose to convey meaning and
messages to readers. What is conveyed is completely decided by the author, however its underlying
message can be interpreted in multiple forms by different readers. Literature often explores the gap
between reality and the writer's imagination, which can lead to a false sense of reality. This false
sense may eventually allow for an oversimplification of reality, where the real world seems to be
transparent, namely that everything flows too well without disruption. Often times, the aspects of
reality are despised because they come with problems that individuals are not ready to solve. Hence
why people filter certain components of life to make their lives simpler. Moreover, from my
perspective literature has the utmost ability to encourage readers to oversimplify their reality to a
great extent. Oversimplification can be introduced through novels that refer to the difference of a
dream life and reality.
My book club novel, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline examines the struggles and benefits of
physically living in reality and mentally living in a virtual reality. Cline introduces the virtual reality,
OASIS as the primary reason why the protagonist, Wade even continues to exist. However, by
dedicating his life to OASIS, Wade decided to oversimplify his life within OASIS, as specific
features from his true reality vastly differed from those within OASIS. Physique is a large

1 Influential person from the 1950's was Marilyn Monroe was an American actress and model. Her
real name was Norma Jeane Mortenson. She was famous for playing a comic dumb blonde. She was
looked as a sex symbol of the era's attitudes towards sexuality. She was in a lot of popular movies
such as "As young as you feel and Don't bother to knock; she also signed contracts with Twentieth
Century–Fox and Columbia Pictures. She made more movies and won a Golden Globe for Best

Young to older teens were the ones who started with this new trend. They were given money from
their parents to buy pictures and photographs and that's how rock and roll became something that
differentiated teens from adults. Teens would listen to it and older adults stayed with other famous
artists like Frank Sinatra and Perry Como. The roots of Rock and Roll came from the Blues and
Gospel of African American people "Alan Freed, the Cleveland disc jockey credited with coining
the phrase "rock and roll," was the master of ceremonies at many of the first rock concerts, including
his 1955 Easter Jubilee."(US history). Elvis presley followed rock and roll but change it around a
little bit with to his own style. The bad side of Rock and Roll was finally seen. "A generation of
young teenagers collectively rebelled against the music their parents loved....Appalled by the new
styles of dance the movement evoked, churches proclaimed it Satan's music."(Us History). Kids
were also influenced on how to dress; from poodle to pencil skirts. From sandy wears to rizzon

The United States And Wyoming Economy Essay
The crackling and popping of the large redwood finally falling was a sweet noise to my grandpa
Ray's tired arms. He stood back and watched with satisfaction as the tree began to fall away from
him, but as it fell the large tree hit the branch of another tree and instead of knocking over the other
tree or breaking the branch, this large tree was heading straight for him. He saw this and stepped
back to move out of the way and fell over a stump. He cried out in agony as the log fell onto his leg.
The happenings in the U.S. and Wyoming economy in the 90s and the conditions my grandmother,
Cindy Pittsley, faced caused her to move from Dubois to a few different places before she settled in
Glenrock and led her to where she is today. My grandmother, 62 today, has lived an eventful life
very unknown to her 22 grandchildren. Most of us know she was married to our grandfather, Ray
Pittsley, at the young age of 16, however, before and after that is mysterious. They settled in Dubois,
Wyoming and raised a family of three girls and two boys. During their children's teens and twenties,
my grandparents worked for the Louisiana Pacific Sawmill in Dubois, Wyoming. This company
logged in Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana and created the job industry in these places. At the
sawmill, my grandmother worked the post peeler. "I would generally work eight hours a day. It
wasn't hard hard work, but it was work." Cindy would go to work no matter the weather and no one
would ever hear a grumble. While

L. Freeman's Case Study
/02/16 M. Bromfield contacted L. Freeman via email regarding upcoming court in which Georga
was required to attend. Molly stated that she would like for Georga to be brought to Salem, to DSS
so that everyone could walk down together for the court hearing at 3pm. She also wanted to meet
prior and discuss court. Molly also stressed to have Georga dressed appropriately to court with no
jeans, flip flops and no gum. L. Freeman then relayed this information to the Clines.
On 12/04/16 M. Rapp and L. Freeman met with D. Cline and Georga together. D. Cline gave
information on Georgas behavior in the home, he stated Georga was doing well and had adjusted

the responsibility for her mother's actions. Georga was very upset to find out her mother lost their

her mother over the phone. M. Bromfield told Georga that she was allowed to make that decision
and that no one would force her to speak with her mother until she felt she was ready.
On 12/ 08/16 M. Bromfield emailed L. Freeman with the travel letter enclosed. This was need for

that K. Cline would be out of the country on that entire week. D. Cline would be able to attend over

Cultural Stereotypes In Sherman Alexie's Flight Patterns
Addressing cultural stereotypes can be an extremely difficult task for many individuals, especially
when the individuals themselves are being stereotyped. Sherman Alexie's short story "Flight
Patterns" brings about new ideas in regards to Native American Indian people. The main character
who is a man William, completely contradicts the stereotype of the typical Indian individual.
Although William defies the stereotype of the typical Native American individual he is guilty
himself of giving other groups of people stereotypes as well. There are many times in Alexie's
"Flight Patterns" when common preconceptions are both questioned and answered through the
thorough examination of the cultural stereotypes in the short story, the thorough discussions that
take place between characters, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One particular discussion that plays a large role in the story takes place between William and the
taxi driver named Fedaku. Fedaku tells William that he is "Oromo and Muslim" (278) and that he is
from "Addis Ababa in Ethiopia" (278). Fedaku believes that William will understand what he has
been through and then proceeds to tell his story. Fedaku tells William that he killed his own people,
he fought for the Ethiopian Emperor and after four years he defected. This is extremely significant
because now the Emperor that he fought for no longer exists and Fedaku feels that he cannot return
to Ethiopia because the Ethiopian people would resent him or have him killed. William also has
feelings like these –not that he will be killed – but that the people of his tribe feel betrayed because
he is not around a lot. William is always working whether here, there, or everywhere. The discussion
between Fedaku and William is so important because the two mens lives are completely different,
yet they still feel many of the same feelings. Feelings of vulnerability, hopelessness, and great fear

What Are The Similarities Between Loretta And Doolittle
Loretta Lynn was a small town, poor coal miner's daughter that lived in Butcher Holler, Kentucky
until she was thirteen. She was a young, "ignorant", naive girl that fell in love with Doolittle. When
Loretta and Doolittle first started dating she was head over heels for him and wanted to spend all of
her time with him. Loretta always said exactly what was on her mind to Doolittle, but he still had
power and never stood up for herself when Doo downgraded her and hit her. For example, Doo
would never let her wear make–up and Lynn doesn't do anything when he sees him cheating on her.
When Lynn started getting into the music business Doo was still in charge of her and when she felt
he was mad, she would do whatever she could to make it better.

A tribute to Patsy Cline
A tribute to Patsy Cline with Mandy Barnett and the Nashville Symphony On November fourteenth
at eight o'clock p.m. I attended a Patsy Cline tribute concert featuring Mandy Barnett and the
Nashville Symphony with my grandparents. On that particular Friday night, it had been raining for
most of the day. My grandparents came and picked me up at five o'clock in hopes of going to a nice
dinner before the show. Once we got on the road, it was clear that our itinerary was not going to
work out as we had planned it to. There was wreck after wreck, leaving most of the interstates
backed up and some closed until late that night. We had to turn around and drive through Mount
Juliet to make it to the concert right on time. None of us had ever been ... Show more content on

The partricular piece is very upbeat and outgoing. As the music continues the song continues to
grow faster resulting in a vibrant folk dance. The Nashville symphony did a great job performing
this piece and portraying the light–heartedness and fun that Enesco intended. The next work that the
Nashville symphony performed was George Gershwin's, "Rhapsody in Blue." This rhapsody
combines classical music with some jazz infuences. The score for this calls for one flute, one oboe,
one clarinet in E–flat, one clarinet in B– flat, one bass clarinet in B–flat, one heckelphone, one
sporanino saxaphone in E–flat, one soprano saxaphone in B–flat, one alto saxaphone in E–flat, one
tenor saxaphone in B–flat, and one baratone saxaphone in E–flat for the woodwins. For the brass, it
called for two horns, two trumpets, two flugelhorns, euphonium, three trombones, and one tuba. On
percussion it called for, one set of drums, one timpani set, and a trap set. Keyboards called for, two
painos, one celesta, and one accordian. Finally, on strings, a banjo, violins, and string basses were
played. Rhapsody in Blue is considered one of the top one hundred most influencial songs. The song
paints a picture of a busy, fast paced city, which many people can relate to in today's society. Still
today Rhapsody in Blue is one of the top twenty five most played songs. George Gershwin created a
timeless piece that will be performed around the world for many years to come. The

Character Analysis Of Ready Player One By Ernest Cline
In the book Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, the main character, Wade, changes throughout the
book. This is due to the experiences with trying to get the answer to the puzzles with some of these
being his living quarters and then getting thrown into jail.
In the beginning of the book, Wade is a more selfish type of person and he has to fend for himself
due to his background and home life. At the start, he came from a poor family so he had to be
resourceful. He showed us that he "...was curled up in an old sleeping bag in the corner of the
trailer's tiny laundry room, wedged into the gap between the wall and the dryer" (Cline 13). The
main character, Wade, was forced to sleep in the laundry room due to how overcrowdedness of the
stack he was in. Even though he had a large amount of his family living in the same small apartment
with him, he was still able to make room for himself. He made a small spot for himself to be
comfortable in. This sets up how many people are in that small area and adds to the loss that will
come later in the story and that will play a part in changing him. He also was a very determined
person. He was sometimes obsessive with the ways he studied the life of Halliday. He states that
"For the past five years, I'd devoted all my free time to learning as much as I possibly could about
James Halliday" (Cline 52). Wade was obsessed with the hunt and spent a large part of a long while
studying everything that the creator of the OASIS had loved in his life.

moral support and a way to hone knowledge and video game skills, helping him to get the copper

called Tempest, with "Only one credit"(pg.359). He could never have done it, as "[it] is not [his] best
game"(pg.358), and "[has]n't played Tempest in years"(pg.359) but Art3mis provided a bug that
would give him "forty free credits"(pg.360). Without that tip, "There [was] no way [Wade's]
[was]going to beat [the] high score"(pg.359). Wade's friends provided moral support before he
entered the gate as well. They said things like "Good luck" and "Do your best." The crystal gate was
a very big moment for Wade, and his friends were there to support him on the way.
Wade's friends from Ernest Cline's Ready Player One both contributed and withheld his ability to
pass the copper key, jade key, and the crystal gate. Aech was Wade's one and only friend, whose
Joust matches had allowed Wade to obtain the copper key. Art3mis was Wade's "cyber–crush"

Rockabilly Music In The 1950's
Rockabilly music became popular in the mid–fifties due largely in part to the
introduction of Elvis Presley. In 1954 this 19–year old Mississippi native took the radio
waves by storm with songs that were unlike anything the American public had heard
before. This new sound was an amalgamation of genres, pulling elements from what was
considered hillbilly music (country and western, folk, bluegrass) and colored music
(rhythm and blues, jazz, gospel.) While the roots of rockabilly are much indebted to
country music, they are quite different genres.
Different styles of country and western music had been popular since the Great
Depression era. By the early 1940s the Billboard charts began listing the top country
songs for the week, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The style of country that these artists performed is
commonly termed "honkytonk," which refers to the bars where this style was performed.
Honkytonk can be characterized by its upbeat rhythm with "a midtempo, purposeful,
gently–swinging shuffle and slower ballads," and by the sounds of the steel guitar and
2Epp
fiddle (Fontenot). Songs generally dealt with issues of alcoholism and unfaithfulness,
undoubtedly connected to the bars of the genre's origin.
While country music was popular across the country it was in the South were this
genre would blend with colored music. Although the desegregation of black and white
cultures was fought harder in the South the rich history of Southern race music found its
way to the ears of white teenagers below the Mason–Dixon line. The white teens from
poorer backgrounds growing up in border states "concocted the pulsating mixture of
African America–inspired rhythm and blues and country and western" that would mold
into rockabilly (Szatmary, 30). Country and western was not eliciting much controversy
but the introduction of Elvis would stir the

Informative Essay About Country Music
Like any genre of music, country music is famous for its cover tunes. Younger artists paying tribute
to legends, old songs getting a breath of fresh air, or sometimes a song is so great it takes almost
every country artist in Nashville to record it. No matter what the reason, artists will continue to
create their own unique version of timeless country songs. I have complied a list of my top favorite
country covers, why I think they are great, and why you should add them to your country music
playlist. "Crazy" was made famous in 1962 by Patsy Cline. The running joke in Nashville is How
many female country singers does it take to sing "Crazy"? Apparently all of them. I would not argue
that countless artists have covered the song, however when it comes to LeAnn Rimes' version of the
Cline hit, you can't help but turn the volume up and forget you're listening to yet another Cline
cover. Rimes does a fantastic job of emulating Cline's vocals note for note. The track stays true to its
original format, but showcases Rimes' strong vocal talent, emotions, and ability to create something
equally as timeless as the original. "Delta Dawn" was made famous by Tanya Tucker in 1972 at the
young age of 13. "Delta Dawn" has had its fair share of performers since then. In 2012 the song
surfaced on Terri Clark's ninth studio album, Classic. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

album Winter Songs. Keating's version has more elements than the original. The careful use of
instruments, background vocals, and production creates quite a contrast when compared to the
original. Keating has a soft voice and uses it well to convey emotions in his performance of the

Wade's Character Changes In Ready Player One By Ernest Cline
In the book "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline, the main character, Wade, also known as Parzival
in the OASIS, goes through many character changes such as bad decision making, arrogance, and
friends.
Wade went through many changes in the book due to being in the center of international attention.
The pressure from the world had effects on how Wade made his decisions. These decisions led to
arrogance and bad poor making, which resulted in the loss of loved ones and friends. In the OASIS
you can be anything you want to be but Wade doesn't care about that, he has dedicated his life in
hopes of finding Holidays fortune. When Wade was the first one to find the first out of three keys it
sent him into the international spotlight because he was the first one to find a key. Before obtaining
the key Wade had to play the game against this NPC monster. When Wade won, another person
showed up and was mad that Wade had gotten the key first. Wade explains to this person about how
he won, " I used to play Joust all the time against a friend of mine. So I'd already had a ton of
preparation. I'm sure if you'd had as much practice–"(Cline 94). Wade explains how he go the key
and says that basically "I am so awesome look at me" and "I'm the best". This makes Artemis mad.
His arrogance has an effect on him in the future because he ends up becoming friends with Artemis
and she has to put up with his arrogance. Wade was not used to being in the center of international
attention, so he thought he could stand up for all of the avatars in the OASIS and tell off one of the
most evil corporations ever. IOI is a huge evil corporation that is run in a video game called the
OASIS. IOI's main focus is to cheat their way to the prize. Wade decided it was best if he went and
told IOI off but he soon realized he made a the worst decision ever when Sorento said "I urge you
not to make that mistake. Your trailer is currently wired with a large quantity of explosives... and my
finger is on the detonator."(Cline 142). Wade thought he could tell of a big evil corporation run in a
video game and he was totally wrong. He was blindsided by the corporation leader Sorento, who
threatened to blow up his house and anything in it if. Sorento forced Wade to

the richest men in Raveloe. On the way to take on his father's position, Godfrey was described as 'a
fine, open faced, good natured young man'but if he was not careful, was on the way to losing the
love of his life and his sanity. Throughout the book, we see this perfect of him destroyed, and
another side to him is revealed to the readers. Godfrey does not really have the chance to show us
how he would care for his child. Being married to Molly Farren, and being the father of her child,
puts him in an awkward position, as he does not really want the responsibility of a child, and

Country Music Analysis Essay
The genre of this song would be identified to be country, honky tonk, and blues. I discovered the
country sound right off the bat when I began to play the recording. It was easy to identify the genre
being country because of its' sub–genre of the honky tonk sound and blues. The basic honky tonk
sound features acoustic and/or electric guitar, fiddle, string bass, and steel guitar (which was
imported from Hawaiian music), while the vocals often draw from the so–called "high lonesome"
sound of traditional country, sounding either rough and nasal (Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb) or
smooth and clear (Lefty Frizzell, George Jones) (All Music). I also thought that this music had a
Nashville sound based on the theme of the song. The Nashville Sound kept the theme of heartbreak,

It is somewhat easier to determine because music was recorded due to the ways the genre of music
has changed over time. It's this generation that is buying vinyl, and it's musicians of the same
generation who are making the records, experimenting with tape recorders and enthusing about
analogue sound (Fox 1). Music that has been played in the 1940's, for example, Bouquet of Roses
by Eddy Arnold (1948) and A Room Full Of Roses by George Morgan (1949), share the same
qualities of audio sound of the mystery music. From the soothing lyrics and similar sounding
instruments being used like the steel guitar. Music from the 1960's, for example, I Fall To Pieces by
Patsy Cline (1961), this recording sounds more clearly engineered that it is easily to recognized that
it was recorded much more later after the 1950's because the 1950's sound seems more muffled. It is
important to recognize how the sound of music is being engineered over time. There are many audio

How Has Country Music Changed
Country music once started out as "bout that twang and trains and hillbilly thing" as Trace Adkins
would say. But as we have evolved and technology has changes so has societies taste in country
music. Country music was founded in the rural part of society, but as time as gone on and people
have changed so has the music. Country now has evolved into a more pop sound rather than the
twang it started out as. Why has the music changed, and what caused this change? Let me take you
back in time where it all began. We will need to dig back into time to learn about country and where
it all started and how it has changed to what it is today.
Country music is defined as a style and genre of largely string–accompanied American popular
music having roots in the folk music of the Southeast and cowboy music of the West, usually
vocalized, generally simple in form and harmony, and accompanied by romantic or melancholy
ballads accompanied by acoustic or electric guitar, banjo, violin, and harmonica (Dictionary.com).

good example of this is Justin Aldean "Burning it Down" some of the lyrics " You slip your finger

Corruption In Isaac's Storm By Erik Larson
EXPAND ON GILDED AGE CORRUPTION IN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
Was it innovation or greed and corruption that played a pivotal role in making the United States the
leading industrialized nation in the world during the late 19th Century and early 20th Century, also
known as the Gilded Age? In the book, Isaac's Storm by Erik Larson the author describes how greed
and corruption by the United States government ultimately leads to poor decisions after a horrific
disaster in 1900 [Larson]. In addition, well–researched essays by Henry Demarest Lloyd and Emma

"Nature is rich; but everywhere man, the heir of nature, is poor." Lloyd begins his work by
complaining about how the rich remain rich and the poor remain poor; however, as the essay
progresses, one can see the accuracy of his views. He references the creation of Adam and Eve,
stating that, "Never since time began have all the sons and daughters of men been all warm, and
filled, and all shod and roofed." It's been true throughout history that because of monopolies that a
very small percentage of men control a majority of land and resources. Lloyd states that individuals
holding a majority of resources and land believe that that there is a scarcity; that there is not enough.
And in order to survive, in order to be happy, in order to be prosperous, they must contain and
constrain. Men must hold on to any and everything they can get their hands on. The minority has an
opposing viewpoint. It feels that there is an abundance of resources, but because of unequal
distribution, there is never enough to go around: "There is too much iron, too much lumber, too
much flour―for this or that syndicate. The majority have never been able to buy enough of
anything; but this minority have too much of everything to sell." Lloyd concludes by expressing that
we have become a "mutual deglutition." He states that we have advanced too quickly and implicates
that we are beginning to reverse

Ragtime Music Research Paper
In the late nineteenth century, African American musicians introduced this syncopated, up tempo
music with a steady beat to small, unpopular venues; this style of piano music was called ragtime
because of the how ragged their arrangements were. Ragtime was like marches and it has a
European harmony with African rhythm. This style of music became known as it was used for actors
to do their cakewalk, which is a high stepping dance, at the end of the minstrel shows. An African
American, Scott Joplin was named the "King of Ragtime". After World War I, ragtime music was
overshadowed by the Tin Pan Alley, which was a street of publishing house with pianos playing
simultaneously (Ferris, 2014). Though, ragtime was pushed out by Tin Pan Alley,

1960's Love Songs
The difference in love songs from today and in the 1960's are different and alike in many different
ways. The first difference in these two songs is the amount of complexity within the songs as a
whole. The earlier song by Patsy Cline named "She's got you" has a lower level of word count and
has a higher amount of repetition. In contrast it is also a slower song, so it needed less words to fill
the three minute time slot. The song "I hate you, I love you" is more complex, with less repetition
and has a better explanation of what is trying to be portrayed in the song. The way that love was
explained in the songs was completely different from each other. The 1960's were an entirely
different era; society was different and so were people. Love was handled differently, in both good
and bad ways. Patsy Cline explained it in more of a sweet, loving way with an undertone of longing
for the person back. In "I love you, I hate you" it is more emotional and in the song the two people
are missing each other, but they are both being too stubborn to tell each other and get back together.

A few lines that empaphasize this in the two songs is "I've got your memory, or has it got me" (line
15) from "She's got you" and "You want her, you need her/ and I'll never be her" (81–82) in "I hate
you, I love you". It's about missing someone. That's the main idea throughout both of these songs.
The lyrics said just earlier are probably the largest idea behind what it was saying that part finally
gets the word across. The rest of the song are just little hints to what the song is talking about. An
example of this is "The only thing different, the only thing new/ I've got the records, she's got you"
(7–8) in the song by Patsy Cline. An example of this in the other song is "It hurts me every time I
see you/ realize how much I need you". They are explaining it in different ways but it still has the
same idea behind

Essay On Country Music
Country music is everywhere in the United States. It is America and people either love it or hate it.
There is usually no middle ground. It accounts for sixteen percent of the nation's radio stations and
is the most common genre played on the radio. There are many different types of country music
around today, including Americana, bluegrass, honky tonk, and contemporary country. Music of all
genres has an evolution through the years. Country music hasn't always been what we recognize it
as today. Country music began in the 1920's in a town in Tennessee called Bristol and was
recognized for its hillbilly and folk format. Country music artists like Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins,
and Jerry Lee Lewis are each responsible for creating this music format that was written mostly
about everyday life. Today country music is recognized as a more modern contemporary version of
music. Today's country artists have started to change their sound in order to appeal to the
mainstream audience in order to make more money. Miranda Lambert said "there's been a shift:

Analysis Of The Movie ' Zac Beaulieu ' Essay
Throughout adolescence and high school, students go through many experiences trying to figure out
who they are and how they want to represent themselves. Zac Beaulieu, the protagonist in the film
C.R.A.Z.Y., went through this transitional phase unlike most teenagers who live in Quebec's 1970's
heteronormative society. As a queer trying to figure out his sexual identity, Zac goes through an
unexpected journey when his non–heteronormative ways start to show. It started when Zac realized
he was a little different than the other kids, and especially his brothers. Instead of being a jock or a
nerd like his two of his brothers, he enjoyed to dressing up in his mother's cloths, playing with
babies, and pushing his baby brother's carriage down the street. It was at this moment when his
father caught him dressed up in his mother's clothes talking to his little baby brother that he "had
unwittingly declared war on his father". Throughout the movie, Zac has many experiences which
ultimately led him and his family to embrace his sexuality. Using music as an expression of his
sexuality, Zac has been able to learn from each of his experiences and understand and appreciate the
person he has become and was born to be. Some terms that I will use throughout my research essay
are queer, cisgender, heteronormativity, and social identity. I will define these terms to convey a
more uniform understanding of the term and its use in this research paper. Using the University of

why it was such a big deal. Halliday was billionaire with no family and no one to leave his money

occurred a string of moments followed. For example, a moment that stood out for me was when the

Country Music Essay
The debate whether commercialism has stripped country music of its authenticity is one that
requires further examination into who ultimately holds the power. The sometimes–drastic changes
made in music leaves people questioning the tastes of consumers when in fact they are the
bystanders of an overpowering industry. Fans are people who buy the albums, go to concerts, and
request songs on the radio, not the execs that market the music, and yet their opinions/tastes aren't
taken into consideration. Fans carry a lot of clout in regards to what they define as commercialism
gone wrong and acceptable country music. Despite what may seem fair, those who are financially
invested in its success drive the commercialization of music.
According to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The feelings of comfort and unity transcend the essence of what country music represents.
However, the power struggle between music executives and artists compromising these markers has
been an ongoing battle. The commercialization of country music tries to implement these markers
while brining to light a new sound for country music, The Nashville Sound. This new sound of
country music introduces background singers, pianos, polished voices and much more sophisticated
types of enhancements. Hank Williams, and Patsy Cline were two artists that thrived within the era
of the Nashville Sound despite the influences of commercialism. The concept of a big country
showcase striped music of its roots and deprived fans of what they really yearned for, simplicity and
genuineness. The simplicity of earlier country music is undermined by the technological interference
of its instrumentation. Simplicity meant one voice with a banjo, guitar, or harmonica
accompaniment. The early country music industry presented the world with an artist just the way he
or she was, no glitz, glamour or frills.
Within the new era of the Nashville Sound it brings along with it overbearing producers and record
labels with their own hidden agendas. "He has cooked up a sound all his own: hot, fierce,
overbearing, full of energy and desire, a sound to jump right out of the jukebox. But Phillips wants
money, a lot of it, and he wants to set the world on its ear" (Elvis: Presliad, 142). What ever

It Is difficult to define what exactly music is in today's standards you can quite easily offend anyone.

Patsy Cline : Different Roles In My Life
Patsy Cline once said "If you can't do it with feeling– don't." This quote may not mean much to just
an average person, but to me it is something I live by. Music plays different roles to different people.
For myself, music inspires me, while some cannot stand to listen. You have used it as a hobby while
others use it as an escape. Music has played multiple roles in my life. It has become something that I
cannot live without. Music has been a hobby, an escape, but most importantly it has been a
connector for my grandpa and I. My grandpa listened to music every chance he had. It was a part of
his daily routine. His favorite artists were Johnny Cash, Boxcar Willie, and (my personal favorite)
Patsy Cline. He shared his favorite songs with me, some of those songs becoming my favorites as
well. Most of these songs are by Patsy Cline. You mentioned that you did not know who she was,
but by the end of this letter I hope you will want to take the time to listen to her music. Patsy Cline's
music has a very country and western vibe to it. Most of her songs are about love or the heartbreak
from love. Patsy Cline became a connector for my grandpa and I, even after he passed away in
2010. Whenever I listen to her, I feel as if he is still right next to me listening too. One of her songs
brings back memories of my grandpa driving me to school every morning. He would play I Fall to
Pieces every morning right as I would get into his car. I remember him raising up the volume loud,
but at just the right volume to where he could still hear me sing. Some days he would even play the
song twice because he wanted to hear me sing it again. My grandpa noticed that I had a talent for
singing. He encouraged me to sing more and he became my biggest supporter. I even told him I
wanted to be just like Patsy Cline and have songs of my own blasting through people's radios. He
reminded me every day that I could achieve great things with hard work and dedication. His
encouragement pushed me to continue on with my singing, even after he passed away. I told you
that I was in choir from fifth grade until my senior year of high school, and you understood the
dedication it took because you were in band from sixth grade until the end of high

Loretta Lynn The Pill Analysis
Oral birth control in the United States has a long history of controversy. For many years after it was
legalized for married couples it was still considered taboo to talk about. So of course, Loretta Lynn,
appropriately named Queen of Country, wrote and performed a song about it. This spunky, out
spoken, record setting country goddess saw absolutely no qualm when it came to discussing, "the
pill". Although this ground–breaking song on the birth control forefront might seem revolutionary, it
was nothing new for an artist like Lynn, who characteristically wrote songs about the hushed aspects
of domestic life. Loretta Lynn's song, "The Pill", pushed social boundaries in the 1970's by
encouraging married women, especially in rural areas, to take control of their lives with the use of
oral birth control. Lynn did so by informing rural women of the normalcy of oral birth control.
Loretta Lynn was born Loretta Webb on April 14, 1932, in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky. Lynn grew up
in a small poor Appalachian coal–mining community and was the second of eight children. Loretta's
career began when she started singing in church as a child. When she was 16, she married Oliver
Lynn. The couple soon moved to Custer, Washington. During their first four years in Washington
Lynn has four children, Betty Sue, Jack Benny, Ernest Ray and Clara Marie. Lynn was still
passionate about music and began to play at local venues. By 1960, she had released her first single,
"I'm a Honky Tonk Girl." She moved to Nashville, where she continued to perform and promote her
music. Moving to Nashville was arguably one of Lynn's best decisions. That is where she met one of
her best friends and role models, Patsy Cline, as well as find fame and recognition there. During her
career Lynn has garnered an impressive release of more than 160 songs, 60 albums, a total sale of 45
million records, ten Number 1 albums and sixteen Number 1 singles on the country charts, and was
the first women to win the the CMA's Entertainer of The Year. Loretta Lynn's most popular song,
"The Pill", was written about a married woman taking birth control. Today, this a common
occurrence for American women. However, in 1975, there was a lot of controversy still surrounding

Her most notorious song was actually not written by Reba, but was a cover of a Bobbie Gentry song.
She related with the song well because she believed she also "went from rags to riches" ("Reba
McEntire Biography"). Reba used her musical career to honor the eight members of her band that
were killed in a plane crash in 1991 (Monaco). The theme song, "I'm a Survivor", belonged to
McEntire's show Reba, and hit the charts at number three in 2001 (Branson 79). Her music is more
than catchy tunes, her songs tell stories. The singer released a song titled "Is There a Life Out
There". As the song plays, it tells of Margaret Elizabeth, a wife, mother, and waitress ("Reba
McEntire Biography"). Reba McEntire is more than just a singer, she is a philanthropist. In the late
eighties, Reba helped benefit concerts for those in need. Before the concerts started, in 1980 Reba
McEntire had family that was being treated in the Texoma Medical Center. Her time their made her
think. What if she made a place for families to stay while a loved one was in the hospital? In 1992,
she made the first Reba's Ranch House, a free place to stay while a family member was seeking
medical attention (Maynard). Located in Denison, Texas, the house has been open for over twenty
years, and still in use ("Reba's Ranch

Step-Fatherhood Research Paper
The woman I plan to wed is smart, gorgeous, funny, hardworking, and sweeter than her favorite
Splenda. She also has a four–year–old son, who is a great kid. He is smart, well–adjusted, and
precocious. But it's obvious that I need to keep some New Year's resolutions in mind as I prepare for
step–fatherhood in 2012. 1.) Become more comfortable with assertive fathering. As the non–parent,
it is easy to sit back and let the parent step in when the kid gets out of line. Certainly, and especially
as a male, I do not want to be seen yelling at a tyke in public, lest people worry that I am some sort
of child–abusing criminal. I often stand by, mute, as my fiance chastises her scowling son for
whatever misbehavior or tantrum he has just committed. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The Outcast Weaver Essay
The story of Silas Marner is a beautiful, eloquently told story which gives the reader a vived
depiction of the period in which it takes place in a rustic village in England in the 1800s. The story
evokes many emotions from the reader as well as teaches some moral lessons about life which are
timeless. The author's overall theme is a powerful demonstration of the importance of friendship and
love to one's life and the devatating, dehumanizing effect the lack of friendship and love causes.
Silas Marner, The Weaver of Raveloe, by George Eliot, is a fictional novel of what becomes of this

He framed Silas for a theft which caused him to basically be driven out of his hometown, losing all
that he loved. He was betrayed by his best friend, his friends, his church and his fiancee. He had lost
everything including his hometown. He moves to a nearby town called Raveloe where he is looked
upon as a strange man with peculiar "fits" and unusual powers to heal and is basically
feared as someone who is of the occult. He becomes a lonely, reclusive miser who lives to work on
his loom...his entire life beomes an endless pursuit to just weave and hoard his gold guineas, it ws
all he had. He spent his days just weaving his linen like he was machine.
"Strangely, Marner's face and figure shrank and bent themselves into a constant mechanical
relation to the objects of his life," (p.18)
"So this pattern would continue and for all the linen he would sell, he would keep hoarding the
gold and spend almost nothing." (p.18)
The gold became the only special thing in his life. Until one night when his gold mysteriously
disapperared. What could have happened but a robbery?
And who was the thief? Dunstan Cass, the son of Squire Cass, the most important, respected and
wealthy man in Raveloe. But Silas has no idea who it was and neither does anyone else. On New
Years Eve, he finds himseld at home that night away from the festivities at the Red House. He goes

My Love For Dogs Research Paper
Ever since I was a small child I remember my mom blasting her favorite music throughout the house
as she attempted to clean up after my siblings and I. She also found it very entertaining to annoy us
by singing at the top of her lungs as we would travel places in the car. She always listened to
classical music, country music, Patsy Cline, or Phantom of the Opera. As a child I just always told
her she was really weird and went along my way, but secretly on the inside I started to enjoy the
types of music she listened to. Now I find music very intriguing and often notice myself applying
certain songs to different aspects of my life.
Living in the country My entire life I lived in a small town called Mackay, Idaho. We lived about 15
minutes from town with five miles of the road to our house being dirt road. That five miles of dirt
road is my whole life, that's where I learned how to drive, where many rattlesnakes were killed, and

Living in the country means that we tend to get uninvited visitors coming down from the mountains,
so my parents have always made sure that we have a dog in the yard to help alarm us of any danger.
I was always the one who had to take care of the dogs because they were always "my" dogs, until
about six years ago when my mom got a cocker spaniel for her birthday. She was only a few months
old when we got her, and she was supposed to go outside after a few nights in the house, but that
never happened, so now she thinks she is the "boss" of the house. She quickly became one of us and
is easily classified as the youngest child of the family, thus she was named Baby. As mentioned
before my mom loves to walk around singing at the top of her lungs, so she quickly picked up on
singing a song by The Olympics called "My Baby Loves a Western Movie." Ever since she started
singing that song, we have all started to give the dog a little chorus as we walk by

Dream Life And Reality In Ready Player One By Ernest Cline

  • 1. Dream Life And Reality In Ready Player One By Ernest Cline Literature is a work of art that is fabricated with the fundamental purpose to convey meaning and messages to readers. What is conveyed is completely decided by the author, however its underlying message can be interpreted in multiple forms by different readers. Literature often explores the gap between reality and the writer's imagination, which can lead to a false sense of reality. This false sense may eventually allow for an oversimplification of reality, where the real world seems to be transparent, namely that everything flows too well without disruption. Often times, the aspects of reality are despised because they come with problems that individuals are not ready to solve. Hence why people filter certain components of life to make their lives simpler. Moreover, from my perspective literature has the utmost ability to encourage readers to oversimplify their reality to a great extent. Oversimplification can be introduced through novels that refer to the difference of a dream life and reality. My book club novel, Ready Player One by Ernest Cline examines the struggles and benefits of physically living in reality and mentally living in a virtual reality. Cline introduces the virtual reality, OASIS as the primary reason why the protagonist, Wade even continues to exist. However, by dedicating his life to OASIS, Wade decided to oversimplify his life within OASIS, as specific features from his true reality vastly differed from those within OASIS. Physique is a large ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Young to older teens were the ones who started with this new trend. The roots of Rock and Roll came from the Blues and Gospel of African American people "Alan Freed, the Cleveland disc jockey credited with coining the phrase "rock and roll," was the master of ceremonies at many of the first rock concerts, including his 1955 Easter Jubilee."(US history). • 5. The United States And Wyoming Economy Essay The crackling and popping of the large redwood finally falling was a sweet noise to my grandpa Ray's tired arms. He stood back and watched with satisfaction as the tree began to fall away from him, but as it fell the large tree hit the branch of another tree and instead of knocking over the other tree or breaking the branch, this large tree was heading straight for him. He saw this and stepped back to move out of the way and fell over a stump. He cried out in agony as the log fell onto his leg. The happenings in the U.S. and Wyoming economy in the 90s and the conditions my grandmother, Cindy Pittsley, faced caused her to move from Dubois to a few different places before she settled in Glenrock and led her to where she is today. My grandmother, 62 today, has lived an eventful life very unknown to her 22 grandchildren. Most of us know she was married to our grandfather, Ray Pittsley, at the young age of 16, however, before and after that is mysterious. They settled in Dubois, Wyoming and raised a family of three girls and two boys. During their children's teens and twenties, my grandparents worked for the Louisiana Pacific Sawmill in Dubois, Wyoming. This company logged in Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana and created the job industry in these places. At the sawmill, my grandmother worked the post peeler. "I would generally work eight hours a day. It wasn't hard hard work, but it was work." Cindy would go to work no matter the weather and no one would ever hear a grumble. While ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Cultural Stereotypes In Sherman Alexie's Flight Patterns Addressing cultural stereotypes can be an extremely difficult task for many individuals, especially when the individuals themselves are being stereotyped. Sherman Alexie's short story "Flight Patterns" brings about new ideas in regards to Native American Indian people. The main character who is a man William, completely contradicts the stereotype of the typical Indian individual. Although William defies the stereotype of the typical Native American individual he is guilty himself of giving other groups of people stereotypes as well. Fedaku believes that William will understand what he has been through and then proceeds to tell his story. Fedaku tells William that he killed his own people, he fought for the Ethiopian Emperor and after four years he defected. This is extremely significant because now the Emperor that he fought for no longer exists and Fedaku feels that he cannot return to Ethiopia because the Ethiopian people would resent him or have him killed. William also has feelings like these –not that he will be killed – but that the people of his tribe feel betrayed because he is not around a lot. On that particular Friday night, it had been raining for most of the day. My grandparents came and picked me up at five o'clock in hopes of going to a nice dinner before the show. Once we got on the road, it was clear that our itinerary was not going to work out as we had planned it to. There was wreck after wreck, leaving most of the interstates backed up and some closed until late that night. We had to turn around and drive through Mount Juliet to make it to the concert right on time. None of us had ever been ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 15. Character Analysis Of Ready Player One By Ernest Cline In the book Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, the main character, Wade, changes throughout the book. This is due to the experiences with trying to get the answer to the puzzles with some of these being his living quarters and then getting thrown into jail. In the beginning of the book, Wade is a more selfish type of person and he has to fend for himself due to his background and home life. At the start, he came from a poor family so he had to be resourceful. He showed us that he "...was curled up in an old sleeping bag in the corner of the trailer's tiny laundry room, wedged into the gap between the wall and the dryer" (Cline 13). The main character, Wade, was forced to sleep in the laundry room due to how overcrowdedness of the stack he was in. Even though he had a large amount of his family living in the same small apartment with him, he was still able to make room for himself. He made a small spot for himself to be comfortable in. This sets up how many people are in that small area and adds to the loss that will come later in the story and that will play a part in changing him. He also was a very determined person. He was sometimes obsessive with the ways he studied the life of Halliday. He states that "For the past five years, I'd devoted all my free time to learning as much as I possibly could about James Halliday" (Cline 52). Wade was obsessed with the hunt and spent a large part of a long while studying everything that the creator of the OASIS had loved in his life. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In 1954 this 19–year old Mississippi native took the radio waves by storm with songs that were unlike anything the American public had heard before. This new sound was an amalgamation of genres, pulling elements from what was considered hillbilly music (country and western, folk, bluegrass) and colored music (rhythm and blues, jazz, gospel.) Younger artists paying tribute to legends, old songs getting a breath of fresh air, or sometimes a song is so great it takes almost every country artist in Nashville to record it. No matter what the reason, artists will continue to create their own unique version of timeless country songs. I have complied a list of my top favorite country covers, why I think they are great, and why you should add them to your country music playlist. "Crazy" was made famous in 1962 by Patsy Cline. The running joke in Nashville is How many female country singers does it take to sing "Crazy"? Apparently all of them. I would not argue that countless artists have covered the song, however when it comes to LeAnn Rimes' version of the Cline hit, you can't help but turn the volume up and forget you're listening to yet another Cline cover. Rimes does a fantastic job of emulating Cline's vocals note for note. The track stays true to its original format, but showcases Rimes' strong vocal talent, emotions, and ability to create something equally as timeless as the original. Wade's Character Changes In Ready Player One By Ernest Cline In the book "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline, the main character, Wade, also known as Parzival in the OASIS, goes through many character changes such as bad decision making, arrogance, and friends. Wade went through many changes in the book due to being in the center of international attention. The pressure from the world had effects on how Wade made his decisions. These decisions led to arrogance and bad poor making, which resulted in the loss of loved ones and friends. In the OASIS you can be anything you want to be but Wade doesn't care about that, he has dedicated his life in hopes of finding Holidays fortune. When Wade was the first one to find the first out of three keys it sent him into the international spotlight because he was the first one to find a key. Before obtaining the key Wade had to play the game against this NPC monster. When Wade won, another person showed up and was mad that Wade had gotten the key first. Wade explains to this person about how he won, " I used to play Joust all the time against a friend of mine. So I'd already had a ton of preparation. I'm sure if you'd had as much practice–"(Cline 94). Wade explains how he go the key and says that basically "I am so awesome look at me" and "I'm the best". This makes Artemis mad. His arrogance has an effect on him in the future because he ends up becoming friends with Artemis and she has to put up with his arrogance. I discovered the country sound right off the bat when I began to play the recording. It was easy to identify the genre being country because of its' sub–genre of the honky tonk sound and blues. The basic honky tonk sound features acoustic and/or electric guitar, fiddle, string bass, and steel guitar (which was imported from Hawaiian music), while the vocals often draw from the so–called "high lonesome" sound of traditional country, sounding either rough and nasal (Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb) or smooth and clear (Lefty Frizzell, George Jones) (All Music). The first difference in these two songs is the amount of complexity within the songs as a whole. The earlier song by Patsy Cline named "She's got you" has a lower level of word count and has a higher amount of repetition. In contrast it is also a slower song, so it needed less words to fill the three minute time slot. The song "I hate you, I love you" is more complex, with less repetition and has a better explanation of what is trying to be portrayed in the song. The way that love was explained in the songs was completely different from each other. The 1960's were an entirely different era; society was different and so were people. Love was handled differently, in both good and bad ways. Patsy Cline explained it in more of a sweet, loving way with an undertone of longing for the person back. In "I love you, I hate you" it is more emotional and in the song the two people are missing each other, but they are both being too stubborn to tell each other and get back together. ... • 52. Analysis Of The Movie ' Zac Beaulieu ' Essay Throughout adolescence and high school, students go through many experiences trying to figure out who they are and how they want to represent themselves. Zac Beaulieu, the protagonist in the film C.R.A.Z.Y., went through this transitional phase unlike most teenagers who live in Quebec's 1970's heteronormative society. As a queer trying to figure out his sexual identity, Zac goes through an unexpected journey when his non–heteronormative ways start to show. It started when Zac realized he was a little different than the other kids, and especially his brothers. Instead of being a jock or a nerd like his two of his brothers, he enjoyed to dressing up in his mother's cloths, playing with babies, and pushing his baby brother's carriage down the street. It was at this moment when his father caught him dressed up in his mother's clothes talking to his little baby brother that he "had unwittingly declared war on his father". Throughout the movie, Zac has many experiences which ultimately led him and his family to embrace his sexuality. Using music as an expression of his sexuality, Zac has been able to learn from each of his experiences and understand and appreciate the person he has become and was born to be. Some terms that I will use throughout my research essay are queer, cisgender, heteronormativity, and social identity. I will define these terms to convey a more uniform understanding of the term and its use in this research paper. Using the University of Michigan's definition, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I always wonder if the sets are accurate representations and I'm impressed that many of Cline's family members were so forthcoming in sharing their experiences to influence the exhibits. However, I was disappointed that most of the items in the house are not original. Items are both reproductions and replicas of their original. They are afraid of theft since the museum has a reputation of having people demanding to be let in for a tour. It was even more surprising to actually see it with my own eyes. It really put into perspective that, sadly, the museum had to take precautionary measures for people similar to what our class experience. If the items were really personal, they were placed in cabinets. After visiting the Courthouse, I have a new respect for seeing glass cases holding the original wallpaper and wood of the building. • 60. Country Music Essay The debate whether commercialism has stripped country music of its authenticity is one that requires further examination into who ultimately holds the power. The sometimes–drastic changes made in music leaves people questioning the tastes of consumers when in fact they are the bystanders of an overpowering industry. Fans are people who buy the albums, go to concerts, and request songs on the radio, not the execs that market the music, and yet their opinions/tastes aren't taken into consideration. Fans carry a lot of clout in regards to what they define as commercialism gone wrong and acceptable country music. Despite what may seem fair, those who are financially invested in its success drive the commercialization of music. According to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The feelings of comfort and unity transcend the essence of what country music represents. However, the power struggle between music executives and artists compromising these markers has been an ongoing battle. The commercialization of country music tries to implement these markers while brining to light a new sound for country music, The Nashville Sound. This new sound of country music introduces background singers, pianos, polished voices and much more sophisticated types of enhancements. Hank Williams, and Patsy Cline were two artists that thrived within the era of the Nashville Sound despite the influences of commercialism. The concept of a big country showcase striped music of its roots and deprived fans of what they really yearned for, simplicity and genuineness. The simplicity of earlier country music is undermined by the technological interference of its instrumentation. Simplicity meant one voice with a banjo, guitar, or harmonica accompaniment. The early country music industry presented the world with an artist just the way he or she was, no glitz, glamour or frills. Within the new era of the Nashville Sound it brings along with it overbearing producers and record labels with their own hidden agendas. "He has cooked up a sound all his own: hot, fierce, overbearing, full of energy and desire, a sound to jump right out of the jukebox. But Phillips wants money, a lot of it, and he wants to set the world on its ear" (Elvis: Presliad, 142). What ever happened ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 65. Patsy Cline : Different Roles In My Life Patsy Cline once said "If you can't do it with feeling– don't." This quote may not mean much to just an average person, but to me it is something I live by. Music plays different roles to different people. For myself, music inspires me, while some cannot stand to listen. You have used it as a hobby while others use it as an escape. Music has played multiple roles in my life. It has become something that I cannot live without. Music has been a hobby, an escape, but most importantly it has been a connector for my grandpa and I. My grandpa listened to music every chance he had. It was a part of his daily routine. His favorite artists were Johnny Cash, Boxcar Willie, and (my personal favorite) Patsy Cline. He shared his favorite songs with me, some of those songs becoming my favorites as well. Most of these songs are by Patsy Cline. You mentioned that you did not know who she was, but by the end of this letter I hope you will want to take the time to listen to her music. Patsy Cline's music has a very country and western vibe to it. Most of her songs are about love or the heartbreak from love. Patsy Cline became a connector for my grandpa and I, even after he passed away in 2010. Whenever I listen to her, I feel as if he is still right next to me listening too. One of her songs brings back memories of my grandpa driving me to school every morning. He would play I Fall to Pieces every morning right as I would get into his car. I remember him raising up the volume loud, but at just the right volume to where he could still hear me sing. Some days he would even play the song twice because he wanted to hear me sing it again. My grandpa noticed that I had a talent for singing. He encouraged me to sing more and he became my biggest supporter. I even told him I wanted to be just like Patsy Cline and have songs of my own blasting through people's radios. He reminded me every day that I could achieve great things with hard work and dedication. His encouragement pushed me to continue on with my singing, even after he passed away. I told you that I was in choir from fifth grade until my senior year of high school, and you understood the dedication it took because you were in band from sixth grade until the end of high ... • 69. Loretta Lynn The Pill Analysis Oral birth control in the United States has a long history of controversy. For many years after it was legalized for married couples it was still considered taboo to talk about. So of course, Loretta Lynn, appropriately named Queen of Country, wrote and performed a song about it. This spunky, out spoken, record setting country goddess saw absolutely no qualm when it came to discussing, "the pill". Although this ground–breaking song on the birth control forefront might seem revolutionary, it was nothing new for an artist like Lynn, who characteristically wrote songs about the hushed aspects of domestic life. Loretta Lynn's song, "The Pill", pushed social boundaries in the 1970's by encouraging married women, especially in rural areas, to take control of their lives with the use of oral birth control. Lynn did so by informing rural women of the normalcy of oral birth control. Loretta Lynn was born Loretta Webb on April 14, 1932, in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky. Lynn grew up in a small poor Appalachian coal–mining community and was the second of eight children. Loretta's career began when she started singing in church as a child. When she was 16, she married Oliver Lynn. The couple soon moved to Custer, Washington. During their first four years in Washington Lynn has four children, Betty Sue, Jack Benny, Ernest Ray and Clara Marie. Lynn was still passionate about music and began to play at local venues. By 1960, she had released her first single, "I'm a Honky Tonk Girl." She moved to Nashville, where she continued to perform and promote her music. Moving to Nashville was arguably one of Lynn's best decisions. That is where she met one of her best friends and role models, Patsy Cline, as well as find fame and recognition there. During her career Lynn has garnered an impressive release of more than 160 songs, 60 albums, a total sale of 45 million records, ten Number 1 albums and sixteen Number 1 singles on the country charts, and was the first women to win the the CMA's Entertainer of The Year.
