Art Form For The Digital Age Summary
"Art Form For The Digital Age" Summary "Art Form For The Digital Age," by Henry Jenkins is about
gaming expanding and how it's being considered a digital art. The growing game industry is said to be the
most growing form of art in the economy today. The gaming industry has grown tremendously in the past
century. It went from silent pong games to intense story plot and mind blowing real life graphics like Final
Fantasy. Games are becoming more and more realistic, characters can talk, and blink, jump, wave and every
part of the body moves like a real person can. Parental advisory is a big part of these games. In this new
generation of video games, players can blow up enemies and rip them apart. Games are so realistic that some

Video games like GTA, Assassin Creed, Call Of Duty Series creates criminals. I understand that gaming
industry is trying to show the artistic view point of what the creator's vision and they should continue but
they should take this a bit of consideration to the younger audience. The gaming industry will never die and
continue to grow as a digital art. Not only are they used for fun, they are making more simulations for
training some jobs like air plane simulations and criminal justice scenarios for shooting. The industry is
becoming more popular than cinemas and even the internet. More and more young adults are going towards
game designing instead of producing movies. Videos games is growing tremendously that its becoming the
main entertainment. Amazing story plot that you can only see in the movies and mind blowing real life
graphics. Games are becoming more realistic that characters can do any kind of gestures and move every
part of the body like a real person can. Its amazing to see and incredible to play. After reading this article i

Digital Art: The Central Point Between Technology and Art...
The digital Art is the central point between Technology and Art with a great impact to new development on
presentation and communication to viewers. This concern the application of digital technology and the use of
article to give information through art work. The impact of technology within an arts context lies above all in
the fact that the technology is used to beauty Viewers who see how technology is used, begin to realize that it
can be used in creative and other ways than were intended. In addition, certain aspects of technology can be
presented better and clearer within an arts context. Once the viewers come to understand how the artwork
functions, they have a much clearer idea of what the technology is and how it affects cultural ... Show more

Often, the aim of the digital video is to allow users to learn faster or relax deeper, but artists have extended
the experience with such devices into the realm of art. The digital art is disadvantageous when the viewer is
not focusing so hard to master; the viewer field of vision may still become narrow by reading the shape, and
may be difficult for the viewer to obtain the other information presented outside the viewer field of vision.
That has been difficult to grasp the information simultaneously as expressed by space in video. In addition,
the information that the viewer considers to be important is limited to printed information, and information
that is important to the viewer may be displayed in areas aside from the area displayed. For this reason, there
has been such a risk that when viewing video in which motion picture are displayed, the viewer may miss
important information. However, there has been the problem that when a viewer is concentrating on reading
printed words, the viewer attention is diverted from other information aside. In such case, even if the viewer
can understand the information being presented, the viewer may not be able to understand the other
information expressed by video. The content of these systems does not detail the historical information or
other popular visitor–type information about the

In the mid–1980's, the thermal imaging camera (TIC) was introduced
into the firefighting market as another tool to aide in their ability to save lives, including their fellow
firefighters. However, since its introduction there have been numerous discussions whether or not the TIC
has a place in the firefighter's arsenal of tools. It is claimed that the TIC is "...one of the most
spectacular applications of technology introduced into the fire service since the steam engine..."

Along the same lines, a fixed camera with pan–tilt–zoom capability can be placed inside a burn building
during a training session and can be controlled from a remote location.
From an application standpoint, the telemetry system might include the
ability to operate multiple cameras in a single scene. For example, in the case of a search & rescue,
there could be multiple camera–men looking for victims. In this case, the command center can keep track of
individuals inside by seeing the same image in the telemetry system as the firefighter sees in his camera. In
other applications, the telemetry system might be required to be secure. In other words, there are situations
where the transmitted information should only be received by the intended party and not be picked up by a
local television crew or other unintended users.      Another application of
the telemetry system is on ladder trucks. Typically, a ladder truck that has a hose attachement is used to spray
water from the roof. The problem is that the water is sprayed without knowing exactly where the water is
going. Consider a situation where a TIC on a pan–tilt–zoom control can be placed on the end of a ladder. At
the bottom of the ladder, the firefighter will then be able to see where the water from the hose is being
sprayed and be able to control the water stream.

The information age is also the age of massive data collection, of databases, records, data mining and big
data in all it's empowering and destructive potential. Not only since the Snowden leaks of 2012 has the
question of, who records and who is being recorded become of interest to a wide audience. Access to such
data collection, the knowledge about it and the subjects' relation to all–encompassing technology have been
the basis of many influential writings of the last two decades.
From works such as Empire (Hardt and Negri) that investigate the effects of an all–encompassing global
communication network on what Habermas called the "public sphere" to Geert Lovink's investigation into
the roots and practices of critical Internet culture, scholars agree on the existing and growing importance of
data access. In addition to that exists another school of thought more concerned with the realizations of
(digital) memory. Starting from Derrida's writing on the archive (Derrida), to works such as Wolfgang Ernst's
Media Archeology, scholars are interested in the effects of media as memory agents.
However, none of these works have yet adequately addressed the question of sustainable storage in relation
to the power systems as described above. As the pace in the global information network increases every day
and news about data collection, surveillance and leaks have become almost daily news, the question

Contemporary Art Issues: Digital Art in Malaysia
Introduction
Digital art started around 1952 in US when Ben F. Laposky produced Oscillon Number Four. Artist always
eager to produce something that beyond limitation of technology and mostly, artist at that time is computer
programmer because no graphic software was available at that time. Herbert W. Franke, John Withney Sr.
and Ben F. Laposky are one of the pioneers in digital art.
Ben Laposky has created first graphic image generated by an analog machine. A mathematician and artist
from Iowa, he produced this image by using manipulated electronic beam display across the fluorescent face
of an oscilloscope's cathode–ray tube and then recorded onto high–speed film.

The formula would be input, computer system as tools and output as final artwork. Digital art also being
define as art in which information is translated for use by computer. Computer art not only broaden the
border of art by reach over limitation, but cited from Molnar it also can encourage the mind to work in new
ways (Popper: 80). Thus, it is up to audience to decide does digital art contain the same value as
conventional art. Even though the difference is only usage of tools, but impact and acceptance of digital art
in Malaysia is still far away from society acceptance.
Area of Interest
First digital artwork which produces by Dr. Kamarudzaman shows that digital art is very interesting in
creating and manipulate ordinary images and make it as work of art. Limitation of computer ability is a
challenge for artist to create something beyond. For example COMMODORE 64 only available with 64k
memory, and attach to television for image display. Some of artist like Ismail Zain, Hasnul J Saidon and
Niranjan Rajah are mostly interested in digital art. Hasnul J Saidon still active giving lectures and doing
research in new media art scene in South East Asia region. But mostly artist in US are more advance in
usage of computer to generate artwork. Example, artist like Boreham (1974) has made use of electronic
media in creating synthesized sound for his electro–acoustic composition, as well as computer technology in
his graphic work, in such way

Essay about The Acceptance of Digital Art
The Acceptance of Digital Art
Digital art has a fifty–year history of innovation and experimentation with new technology. The Pioneers of
digital art were not artists but people who were exploring new visions through computers and the writing of
computer programs. According to the Digital Art Museum, which is a joint venture between London
Guildhall University and two independent art galleries, digital art can currently be classified according to
three phases Phase I of digital art was from 1956–1986. The Paintbox Era, the second phase, lasted from
1986–1996. Art software became readily available and attracted more artists to the new media. Especially
useful was the paint program and devices such as the scanner and film ... Show more content on

It is becoming more widely accepted as an art form but only a few museums and galleries display computer
art.
These technological innovations however, have allowed artists to combine traditional forms with new
electronic techniques to produce unique and exciting works of art. The computer has increasingly become a
versatile tool for digital artists. Many artists are creating dynamic and flexible works of art through computer
networks. The digital age is creating a new movement in the art world and the computer is becoming a
symbol for this revolution. The future of Digital art is tremendous and it has the capability of transforming
how art is defined and created. It is not the tool that determines what is art, but the artist and their personal
vision and style. The complexity and diversity of the new digital media will be challenging to artists and
allow them a new means to express their vision of the world.
Most people are of the opinion that art must be created in the old fashioned way to be considered fine art.
Traditional art is created with pen and ink, brush and paint or chisel and stone. Art generated by a computer
however, defies the traditional rules, values and boundaries of the mainstream art community. The computer
is considered technical; therefore, it is not artistic. Computer artists must contend with the close mindedness
of the traditional art world. The digital media artist is thought to be less skillful than a painter or sculptor

Digital Art : Traditional Vs. Traditional Art
Usually, the word "art" is associated with painting, or the class that was required in primary school, but that
is not always the case. There are far more mediums and styles to art than one can imagine. There are two
major groups to art, traditional and digital. Traditional includes majority of the arts that require being hands–
on and having a physical result, such as a painted canvas, or a clay sculpture. Digital art uses a computer to
create the art, such as using a drawing tablet, or a 3D sculpting program, such as Blender, or ZBrush, which
are common for 3D animation, or video game configurations. While these two concepts sound completely
different, they also jive together to make the best products. Without the computer, there would not be digital
art, and today's art would be limited to the traditional factors, not that traditional art is limiting, there are just
many more advances thanks to technology and its evolution through everyday. Overall, Digital art is better
than Traditional art because it is indestructible, it takes up less space, and its constantly evolving. Traditional
art has been around since the very beginning of the human race, including the Stonehenge, and the cave wall
paintings in France. Even if today we can not tell what they mean, or what they are, it is still considered are
by many, and will be for years to come. As people and materials evolved, other mediums were created, and
art began becoming more relevant in history, and giving periods and

Preservation Digital Art Analysis
Preservation The "Preservation" is a digital art piece that demonstrates several different meanings. This piece
invokes fear and discomfort by exhibiting how oil, gas and chemical industries are destroying the earth and
humanity with pollution and toxin. The artist uses two arms to represent the way of life. One side presents a
beautiful, pure, and an unharmed world, and the other shows darkness, death, the destruction of earth, and
how it is taking over. This piece of art is aimed towards the oil, gas and chemical industries. The
"Preservation" is on the Deviantart.com, created by (Shortcircuit123), also known as Paul, a twenty–year old
male from south Netherland and studying art at ABK Maastricht. He started out with just drawing and now

Also, how it displays the overpowering of death, destruction, and darkness. This piece of digital art can be
compared to a similar painting on Italianrenaissance.org, "The Creation of Adam," a painting in the Sistine
Chapel created by Michelangelo in 1512. In this work, God's right arm is outstretched to reveal the spark of
life from his own finger into that of Adam, whose left arm is extended in a position reflecting God's, a
reminder that man is formed in the reflection and resemblance of God. Another point is that Adam's finger
and God's finger are not touching. It gives the sense that God, the provider of life, is extending out to Adam
who has yet to accept it. In the preservation piece the two arms represent humanity, and the left arm is
covered with earth and all living creations of God. The right arm is covered by a world full of fire, burning
from the inside out. Another point is the left side has blue skies showing a sign tranquility, relaxation, and
peace, with white clouds. The color white is to represent Innocence and purity. While the right has, black
smoke filled clouds coming from a refinery created by man, black shows to absorb all aspects of light and
signify power, and fear. Looking at the two hands with the fingers extended out the right hand shows the
pointer finger soaked and dripping oil into the world causing

Digital Media And The Origin Of New Media Art
Nowadays, more often than not, we tend to loosely define New Media as Digital Media, primarily because
these media's internet–dependency. However, the origins of new media art can be traced to the moving
photographic inventions of the late 19th century such as the zoetrope (1834), the praxinoscope (1877) and
Eadweard Muybridge's zoopraxiscope (1879). From the 1920s through the 1950s, various forms of kinetic
and light art, from Thomas Wilfred's 'Lumia' (1919) and 'Clavilux' light organs to Jean Tinguely's self–
destructing sculpture 'Homage to New York' (1960) can be seen as progenitors of new media art (Vostell,
2012) There's no doubt that technology is moving art and its creative process over time. The invention of
portable paint tubes and art supplies made outdoor painting accessible and Impressionism prevalent, from
where we have had the honor to know about Claude Monet through his legendary lily pond from his
suburban residence at Giverny, France and on the walls of canvas at Musee L'Orangerie in the city of Paris.
More recently in the 20th century, if it is not for the revolutionary invention of silkscreen printing, Andy
Warhol would not have become a household name in the art world. The truth is, to artists, technology has
been a driving force to constantly provide and inspire new ways of art creation for a long time, arguably
since the beginning of art history. However, it is not until the recent decades in the 20th and 21st century that
we start to see the

The Digital Of Digital Forensics
With advances in digital technology, the scope of digital crimes has also increased multi–fold. Digital
forensics is a science, which involves collection, preservation and documentation of the digital evidence
from various digital storage media. This entire process must be undertaken in fashion that is appropriate
forensically, and results in collection of data, which can be made admissible in a court of law during the
investigation of a crime. Since most of the transactions today happen across digital media, it is imperative
that organizations world over understand the fundamentals of forensics, and also take steps in training their
employees. If such procedures are not put in place, then it may result in the data of an organization to ...

The branch of Network forensics is relatively a newer branch of digital forensics, and it involves carefully
analyzing the data that is flowing in a network to find any possible evidences of intrusion or theft. The
information flow in a network is always dynamic in nature, and thus this branch of digital forensics needs to
be proactive in its approach. One of the usage of this branch lies in the investigation of network data for any
traffic that might seem anomalous in nature, for the purpose of detecting intrusions. The second usage lies in
the area of law enforcement, where the evidence gathered by Network Forensics can be used as evidence in
case of a crime. Mobile Device Forensics relates to data and evidence recovery from a mobile device, be it a
mobile phone, PDA, tablet, GPS device, and so on. This area of forensics is a bit challenging due to the
reason that exact pin pointing of location where from communication was initiated is not accurately possible.
Other factors adding to the challenge are the diversity of manufacturers and models, multiple hardware and
software specifications, and data recovery tools that may not bring the desired results on all platforms.
Database Forensics specifically on the analysis of databases, using relevant tools for analysis and
manipulation of data. Analysis of database meta–data is also undertaken, along with studying the

The Art of Digital Animation
Norman McLaren said, "Animation is not the art of drawings that move but the art of movements that are
drawn." To be a digital animator, independence and social skills are needed. Strong design skills and
computer savvy will be key. (Clark 185) To be successful or to even get a job the animator needs a proper
foundation. Having social skills, years of experience, and even a degree (not often) are needed to do so. The
long hours can be fun or enjoyable in the beginning seeing as the animator is doing what they love but
eventually, they will be exhausted and with deadlines they can screw their self over without being prepared.
Being educated in the field is highly suggested, to understanding of color, form, shape, dynamics, and so on
is needed. However, the only way the animator can truly learn is through experience, actual practice. Some
people look to be apprentices to other animator and learn through being in that type of environment. Being a
digital animator has it's pros, cons, is full of history, and has a simple method of getting into.
Digital animation is a vital piece in the entertainment industry today. Talented artists from all over get into
the field to create amazing works of art. An animator produces multiple images that are referred to as frames.
These frames when compiled in sequence create a moving picture known as animation. "They draw by hand
and use computers to create the large series of pictures that, when transferred to film or tape, form the

Statement of Purpose for Engineering and Technology
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
"Our predecessors endeavoured to make men into machines; we are endeavouring to make machines into
men" (CHARLES EDWARD JERNINGHAM, The Maxims of Marmaduke).
Skimming by these quotes is what made me to pursue my desired achievement in the fields of electronics.
The fields of electronics have brought much evolution in the world in this past century. It also has change the
way of looking at the things in our daily life and if there is any industry that is going to completely redesigns
our future that is definitely the electronics industry.
Moreover, my interest in electronics started to develop when I first came to know about computers and its
equipment. The technology of "integrated circuits "of transforming large electronic equipment into small
gadgets made me astonish and from then I started to solve the mysterious chips whenever I get to lay my
hands on them . It was then when I made my mind to pursue a career in the field of electronics.
I have always been fascinated by the abundant field of electronics; hence it is my goal to become an
electronic engineer. Hence my quest for electronics made me follow to college which was why I chose
electronics and communication engineering and pursuing my bachelor degree as my field of expertise and
got admission into the reputed Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University's affiliated college, VIF College

Do–It–Yourself Culture After Technology
In this digital age, Do–It–Yourself (DIY) content is one of the most searched subjects on the web, supported
by modern advanced technology. Thus, this paper displays the way technology facilitates the development of
DIY used on the Web, particularly Youtube. This paper explores the communities formed from online
interactions between DIYers. This paper also investigates how technology allows DIYers to find values and
the purpose of DIY in their personal lives. Historically speaking, DIY culture started in the 1960's and 70's as
part of the anti–establishment punk movement. For the digital generation in our society right now, some may
be unaware that DIY culture has always been tied to protest and activism, creating alternatives in everyday
life. However, the DIY that will be further explored later on is focused more on the modern crafts and
technological aspect of the culture as reflected in the 102 YouTube vlog project. In

Observing An Average College Student Essay
Observing an average college student during a lecture is a marvelous thing. Sure, there are the students in the
front, attentively taking notes, eagerly soaking in information to be used to pass their next test and nothing
more. Gazing over the sea of people, however, one couldn't help but notice the vast majority of people using
some sort of digital technology; a sleek new MacBook Pro alternating between Facebook political rants, a
fantasy team on the verge of a winless season, and a slideshow of 'Ten Celebrities You Didn't Know Have
Been Arrested'. A girl in sweatpants and a tank top who didn't even bother to bring a book bag, navigating
several group chats and frantically tapping the spider–webbed glass. Some folks will have the next day's
homework pulled up, some the PowerPoint slideshow on 'Chapter 3– Ocean Currents and Tides', even
though it's already being projected at the front of the room, and even more won't be paying the slightest bit
of attention to neither their Surface Pro or the monotonous droll of the professor, instead wondering how to
get that cute guy's number or whether they have enough in their checking account to hit up Chick–Fil–A
after class. The majority of these typical college students, however much– or little– attention they paid to the
lecture, will leave this class confident they have somewhat of a grasp on the material. Many researchers

She further argues that uneducated masses immediately condemn the art form ignorantly without fully

According to numerous sources, Hip Hop has been attributed to ignorance, crime, incarceration, disrespect
and has created negative monikers reinforcing the negative connotations and stereotypes associated with the

College Admissions Essay: Chess, Digital Art
I have many interests. Three of them are chess, digital art and, poetry. These activities allow me to convey
my creativity. In chess, there are countless possibilities of how one can checkmate his or her opponent. As
for digital art, the possibilities are endless because of the limitlessness of art. Similarly, with poetry I enjoy
using literary devices such as, personification, similes and metaphors to express the message I am
conveying. I learned how to play chess when I was four years old. Interestingly enough, my love for chess
sprouted from the natural urge for a son to beat his father. One day, my Dad taught me how to move chess
pieces across the board along with the rules of the game. Due to my competitive spirit, I tried my hardest to
win every match. Even though I was an amateur and lost every match, I did not quit. Personally, I would
rather lose every game then have someone let me win. I quickly learned from every mistake I made and
learned how to capitalize on every mistake my opponent made. With every loss, I grew stronger and my goal
became more and more achievable. Finally, one day I won for the first time and the proud look on my Dad's
face made all of the losses well worth it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Graffiti allows me to use my creativity to produce art. My favorite way of producing this art is to hide the

the letters in a word seem as if they jump off of the page. Occasionally, I use three–dimensional graphics
along with hidden words. This creates an effect that causes the viewer to think he or she can turn to the side

can send your images by email to image masking studios at any time and they can bring about a change for
the better. What is Image masking? Image masking is one of the basic image processing operations. It is used
to eliminate the background of photographs which have hazy edges, tainted dot or hair portions. The image
masking software can eliminate, extract or detach an object from the rest of the picture using the image
masking technique. Image masking is now a recognized profession. Many people specially in developing
countries get employment in image standardization studios or companies. Day by day its application is
growing as people tend to keep their photographs intact and retain their past memory fresh from the album
pages. Before delving into the image mask application, we need to know what is called mask. Layers are
probably the single most important addition to Photoshop since the original version, but a layer masks are a

The Importance Of Making Valid Decision And Strategizing...
1
I still remember the days in my universities as if it were yesterday. In those days I worked with lot of
national and international organizations, which are working in varied sectors and bringing change by modern
methodologies. In second year of my under–graduate, I founded a Non–Governmental Organization named
Fep–Si (Forum for Empowering people through Social Innovation and Entertainment) and worked with
another organization named Alexis Foundation as research associate for designing public policy driven by
Big–Data. From the experiences of working in these organizations I learnt about the importance of making
valid decision and strategizing on business, polity and market front by providing accurate and up–to–date
information and performing data–driven decision making at minor level. On the other hand exposure of
working with United Nations Envoy on Youth also helped me in evolving as a leader who has the quality of
thinking analytically towards global problems. During these days I have felt many times that a lot of these
problems can be solved by integrating computer technology into data collection and management of
resources, energy, capital and various other things which are generally done by old methodologies. These
instances motivated me to believe that in the complex and interconnected world of international business and
its strategizing, the science of information management is ever more important.

are embracing the use of electronic textbooks for a variety of reasons. Ken White, an instructor at Everett
Community College, points out that some older students may have a hard time transitioning to e–textbooks
but younger generations of students will be much more successful at making the conversion (Moving
towards virtual textbooks). The trend seems to be that electronic devices of all sorts are becoming more and
more popular. As these devices continue to permeate our culture, integrating them as soon and as frequently
as possible into the classroom will help students adjust to using them now and in the future. White even uses
the new textbook format because, "[Electronic textbooks] make me really look at my teaching" (Moving
towards virtual textbooks). As a teacher, he is adopting the trend of going digital. By re–evaluating his
teaching method, he will be able to approach his subject from a different angle that might be more

Vinyl Collection Research Paper
Introduction Building your vinyl collection is an exciting hobby There is a plethora of ways to get out there
and build your collecting, including your local record stores, big box retailers who are now selling vinyl,
garage sales, online stores, thrift shops and I can go on forever!! It seems that just about everywhere is
selling vinyl records. Over the last few years' millions of brand new vinyl has been pressed with the numbers
continuing to climb upwards. The few big box music retailers have begun stocking their shelves with vinyl
once again, along with several unexpected retailers adding vinyl to their line of products carried such as
Whole Foods and even Cracker Barrel! The availability of independent retailers are popping up in city and
towns all across North America almost weekly! There are plenty of places to purchase new vinyl, with a few
of them not so obvious. Below is provided a fairly detailed list of where to not only shop for new vinyl, but
which retailers are carrying newly pressed, hidden vinyl gems. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Used vinyl tends to be less in price and readily available since often vinyl collectors preserved their records
to an exceptional condition. However, with the vinyl boom in full force finding stacks of used records is not
as easy as it was five years ago. The value of used records has increased significantly and many recognize
this. Commonly, if a stockpile of used vinyl is for sale at a reasonably low rate it is quickly snatched up by
professional record buyers who hunt various sources daily. I will send you well on your way to navigating
the art of finding used

The Art of Djing and Transgression to Digital Media Essay
Generally speaking, a DJ's job is to present a series of records for the enjoyment of the audience. That
applies to the radio DJ as well – they play music intermingling it with chat or some sort of comedic
performance. The club DJ, on the other hand, does something much more musically creative – s/he presents
records by performing them to produce a cohesive musical atmosphere. Songs are carefully chosen, strung
together in an improvised story to make a continuous and flowing set. Whether the DJ chooses to
dramatically juxtapose songs or unnoticeably overlay and mix them together, he creates new unique music
that cannot be found anywhere else. To a large extent, it is possible thanks to the amazing advances in
technology that DJs also have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In America, it is reputed that the first discotheque, named Le Club, opened on New Year's Eve in New York
in 1960 (Reighley 26). Terry Noel was the first DJ known to purposefully "program" a playlist, namely play
a set of records in a particular order to best create and maintain the energy level of the party. Francis Grasso
is the earliest known DJ to introduce the concept of "mixing" to the art of record programming. He began
"slip cueing" which refers to slamming in a new record on beat with the fading record without interrupting
the flow of the program. When Thoren company came out with turntables that had variable speed, called
"pitch control", the concept of blending was born. Francis Grasso quickly picked up on the possibilities
offered by the new invention and is credited with the ability to keep two records on beat and in sync for over
two minutes. In the meantime, new 12–inch records replaced the traditional 7–inch record and offered the
chance to record more music onto the vinyl. In 1975, New York City was the hot spot in the world for dance
music and to a large extent, it still is. Clubs started to achieve icon–like status and we can trace the roots of
today's prevailing dance music styles back to the early clubs and DJs, many of whom influenced the way
music was to be made, recorded and played in the years to come. Frankie Knuckles and Larry Levan were
two other DJs and remixers who greatly contributed to the

Digital Art Analysis
n this paper, I will be analyzing the following piece of digital art. Now the first thing I notice when I look at
this picture is the color, it's mostly calm or cool colors mostly shades of blue or white. Which can mean
many things that this person was feeling calm or was in a relaxed state while making this piece of digital art .
or that he was depressed . The open theme of this picture brings a sense of calm and peace to me. The what
look to be planets surrounding the tower in the middle also could have multiple meanings for instance they
could represent the multiple possibilities of life or metaphorical worlds such as love life or social world etc...
everything in this picture is taking place above the clouds possibly stating that this individual is above said

fantasy/historical feeling that swallows you in a calmness. Each individual planet is rotating on a different
axis suggesting different time or different place in the universe. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The artistic quality of the clock and the design of the ceiling and the tower itself fascinates me because while
being very aesthetic it has a certain functionality to it. The sharp metal wrappings around the staircase give it
a fluid look like it it is all moving in one direction. And it has vines wrapping around it giving it a kind of
life about it. Overall the tower shows an artistic value of a mixture historical art,art that mimics movement

Digital Art And Its Impact On Contemporary Culture
Digital art is a discipline that brings together all artistic works created with or involving digital media. This
paper aims at addressing the various areas of research associated with the ideas of digital art, starting from
the history, through its various dimensions and demonstrations, working and functionalities of computer,
significant work in the area and ending with the emergence of various ideas that surrounds this developing
discipline.
The history of digital art, which can be more broadly referred to as electronic art, is not only written whilst
affected by the consolidation of the aesthetic and foundation that Stewart Brand claims for contemporary
culture, but also in the very acceptance of digital art by the institutions and curators of the art world. It is a
reality that digital art has remained in a transition for a considerable period of time and has yet to be
established as a proper discipline.
One of the earliest ancestors of digital art is the neo–impressionist painter Seurat. He created a new
technique that has a resemblance to what later will become the pixels. A pixel is the smallest unit of a
computer image. On this point, the critic Donald Kuspit notes the effect Seurat had on impressionism and
especially later neo–impressionism to pointillism and then to inspire pixels. However, striking spots used by
Manet are the primitive prototypes of mathematical sophistication of pixels. The next crucial aspect in the
development of this sensations is stating

Art And Photography : Is Digital Photography Art?
Is Digital Photography Art?
The camera is a means of recording an image, and is a tool just like brushes and palette knives. It is the user
that converts the image into art and the viewer (be it a judge or not) who determines if it is to their liking or
not.
Art and photography have a lot of qualities in common and there seems to be a fine line between the two.
There's always an on–going debate with and between photographers and others as to what can be
legitimately identified as photography and what constitutes digital art.
If the substance of the picture is changed and is no longer representative of the original scene, has the picture
become more "art' than photography?
Photographic alteration is how the author wishes to interpret his art, trade or hobby, as the case may be.
Artists, since the discovery of perspective during the renaissance, have delved into methods of expressing
themselves. From the portraits of classic painters like Rembrandt or Monet's impressionist landscapes to the
extreme modern art of Warhol, they all have their own language and principles.
Should we not accept that art is created by the human artist, influenced by the world around him or her, and
freely expressing their thoughts, feelings, passions, ideas and vision for an image? Art is not created by the
camera the paintbrush or the chisel. Art is created by humans. The tools are just tools. Did photography kill
paints and brushes? Did paints and brushes kill charred sticks and crushed berries?

The Pros And Cons Of Re-Thinking Museums
1.2. Re–thinking Museums
The second part of chapter one discusses the ways digitization is changing the face of museums and
archives, in terms of the ways they curate device collections. This unprecedented and continuous shift has
left many cultural institutions struggling to adapt and are forcing them to rethink how to maintain their
unique qualities while at the same time adding value. Today, no organization is immune to the disruptions
caused by digitization and technological innovation, forever changing the make–up of cultural institutions,
and by extension, film and media museums and archives. There are new forms of (digital) museums and
archives being developed, for instance via the Internet, 'that make use of participatory media to ... Show

According to Suzane Keene (2004), the essence of the traditional museum – 'as classifier, authoritative
holder and producer of knowledge and as source of the "right" interpretation and view of society through
place–based exhibitions – is a building' (p. 3). By contrast, the museum of the future is more of a process or
an experience, moving out into the spaces of the communities it serves. Therefore, a fundamental difference
between the traditional museum and the museum of the 21st century is the type of space used to preserve and
present cultural heritage and the modes of access and availability this space offers. Keene points out to
another difference, which has to do with what is central to museums and archives – the object. As the
importance of the meaning of the object and its past grows, so does the need to collect and present the
intangible, as well as the tangible. The museum of the future sharpens its focus on collecting and exhibiting
knowledge, rather than simply the object. Furthermore, with the perspective of new technologies, the process
of digitization intensely defines the make–up of the museum of the future. Keene argues that, as inventories
and catalogues of collections are increasingly digitized, 'so they must become available as a single resource,
together with related information provided by libraries, archives, sites and monuments' (p. 4). Additionally,

Many artists around the world work with a canvas, on paper, and many other ways of drawing, even since

I started digital art when I first started on the computer and I've been hooked ever since. Digital art is a great
way of drawing without making a mess on your desk, it's all accomplished in files and programs on your
computer. In the beginning there wasn't really any programs that allowed you to freely draw what you
wanted. When Windows XP first came out, many creative minds started to realize there was a program

The Theory Of Media Convergence
The theory of Media Convergence posits that new technologies bring together different mediums and
consequently redefine the media environment. According to the theory, changes in communications and
information technologies reshape and change everyday life, altering patterns of creation, consumption,
learning, and interpersonal interaction. New technology redefines media content and alters human interaction
with social institutions such as government, education, and commerce.
This paper is highlights the significance of Media Convergence. It analyses the significance from both angles

The Virtue Of Forgetting Of The Digital Age
Delete The Virtue of Forgetting in the Digital Age – Viktor Mayer–Schonberger
Chapter one is entitled " Failing to Forget the Drunken Pirate." This chapter starts off giving examples of
real people that have professional jobs that posted something online that later on came back and ruined their
lives in some way. One person was a woman by the name of Stacey Snyder who was a 25 year old aspiring
teacher. After completing all the coursework needed to become an educator, university officials denied her of
her certificate because of a picture that she posted on her private Myspace account. The picture was
captioned "drunken pirate" and she was holding a red cup, the university officials claimed her behavior was
"unbecoming." Although her page was private, it was still easy for the officials to find this one image that
ruined Stacey's career. In this chapter it is stressed how easy it is to find information on anyone. Google
actually keeps individual records of people 's search history, web pages browsed, and keywords that they
often search. Google used to keep these records forever, but as of recently that changed and they are only
kept for a short period of time. Also in this chapter it is stated that there is no more privacy. Cell phones have
GPS receivers which allows our location to be tracked all day everyday. Because of this you can now even
track someone through GPS from a photo they've take. In chapter two "Importance of Remembering", The

Negative Effects Of Photoshop On Society
Seerat Gidda Professor Michelle Superle English 105 November 20, 2017 Effects of Photoshop on Society
Research Essay Draft 3 "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent," once said by the famous
Eleanor Roosevelt. As true as that may be, the advances of technology in the modern era make that difficult.
Photoshop, an image–editing software that allows you to alter images limitlessly, is one of the biggest
dilemmas facing society today. "Photoshop has the power to manipulate an image's appearance beyond
recognition, making it possible to transform an average looking individual into a 'Barbie girl, in a Barbie
world'" ( Brown 87). This act of photo–manipulation didn't begin with "Adobe Photoshop," a photoshop
software that has been accused of sabotaging the truthfulness of photographs, but rather it began long before
in the 1800s when techniques like hand colouring and retouching were done physically by the photographer's
hands instead of a computer's (Fineman dust jacket). The use of photoshop, or the act of photo–
manipulation, has a negative impact on society. It causes self–esteem issues and possibly even eating and
mental disorders due to the viewers being falsely directed by "flawless" images that distort reality. In recent
discussions of modern photography, a controversial issue has been whether photo manipulation is ethical. On
one hand some argue that photoshop has "enhanced and expanded photography exponentially as an art form"

Should Students Be Digitally Connected In Public Schools?
Education is ever–changing and students need to be confident, creative, connected and active lifelong
learners. Digital technologies are very important to our student's world as they use them to connect with each
other, learn new skills and pursue their interest. Luckey (2009) stated "For students in particular, technology
is almost an extension of themselves. They use it to communicate, to discover the world, to play games, to
collaborate, to create things, to write, to read, and to organize their lives. Nothing can be more foreign to
them than school without technology or where technology is relegated to its own special place." Mobile
devices with the power of digital technology are being placed in every student's hand in schools around the
world which equips them with the personal technology needed to learn and communicate in the 21st century.
While these programs can be very effective for students, they can be challenging for schools. Some
educators believe that digital technology in the classroom may cause more of a distraction to students;
however integrating digital technology in the classroom helps students become more engaged. In the digital
world, data is at students' fingertips 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Technology is everywhere and many
students have adopted practices

How Digital Media Is Helping Us Or Not? Essay
With several experiments taking place around digital media, you'd think there would've been a firm answer
on its effects by now. The fact is there has been an answer for the problem, except it's not just one answer,
its's several more than just one. McWilliams tackles the outcomes of the answers and whether or not digital
media is helping us or not. With several sections dictating the effects of digital media and one's mind, he
provides us with fact and thought filling sections on each of the occurring issues. Whether or not
McWilliams facts prove a point, it will surely dictate whether his argument would prove to be persuasive. As
McWilliams begins to introduce his article with a story from Paul Miller who detached himself completely
from the web, you can see he is giving us an example. Someone who perhaps relates with McWilliams
argument. And this is supported lately after seeing the outcome of Millers detachment. Such as having the
ability to become a more effective writer (par. 3). Now we begin to see the creation of what could possibly
be McWilliams argument. He then steps into what begins to be his idea of gaining back power in his second
section, reclaiming control. His idea consists of understanding the ability to reclaim control from our
attention span sucking devices (par. 6) He goes off on a works cited frenzy, consisting of statements from
opposite ends of the issue. Some tech addicts would say there is nothing to worry about (par. 6).

How Digital Reproduction Has Changed The Art Of Print Making
I do believe that the advent of digital reproduction has changed the art of printmaking. According to the
book, "Exploring Art: A Global, Thematic Approach," by Margaret Lazzari and Dona Schlesier states that
printmaking is the method of creating a variety of images and designs and then printing them onto paper. As
technology has advanced over the years, so has the process and creation of art. For instance, artists are now
able to make sculptures from computer–aided programs and print them into three–dimensional forms
(Lazzari and Schlesier 79). I personally think that this three–dimensional printer takes away the artists touch.
Yes, it is their creation and it will still become a beautiful piece of artwork, but it's missing the physical
touch from the artist themselves. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As mentioned above, technology has evolved over the years and has had an impact in the art world. For
example, an artist would hand draw and paint their creations and that was the only copy. Whereas, digital
images can be manipulated with computer software (Lazzari and Schlesier 85). I believe that it takes away
the worth of the original print. If you have access to getting the same piece of artwork online for free or a
cheaper price. Then, why would you bother paying more for the original piece?

Technology: Overused by Children
"Our children's digital lives are turning them into much different creatures from us – and not necessarily for
the better." – Dalton Conley, Time Magazine
Imagine a world without technology. It is almost impossible to do and might even cause the average
Millennial some major anxiety. Every day we use it whether it is our cars, phones, shopping, games and most
importantly in the education of students. Homework, class assignments and grades are accessed via
blackboard for students as early as kindergarten. Most elementary aged children have no idea what is like to

This consumption can lead to lack of exercise and time physically active. According to The National Center
for Education Center, most students spend an average of 6 ½ hours at school each day with 45 minutes to 1
hour of P.E (physical education) (2008). That is a lot of time spent sitting down using digital devices. It is
quite remarkable but is leading our children down a familiar path to a sedentary life. Childhood obesity has
reached epidemic proportions in the United States (US) – approximately 17% of children ages 6–11 and 21%
of children ages 12–17 years old are obese ((Taverno Ross, Dowda, Dishman, & Pate, 2016, p. 352). We are
asking our children to be confined to classroom glaring at a screen all day which can cause deterioration of
eye health. It is mainly attributing it to sitting for hours in front of a computer screen. It can cause stress to a
child 's eyes since the computer forces the child to focus and strain a lot more than any other task which can
directly put a child at a greater risk than adults for developing symptoms of computer vision syndrome
(Heiting,G.& Wan,L.K , 2016).
Another problem that stems from the over use of technology is the loss problem solving skills and
imagination. Since children rely on technology to give them quick answers they often are not presented with
an opportunity for the individual to use his or her imagination or to use their own

Review Of ' Pieces Mended ' By Film, And Digital Art
Title: 'Pieces Mended' Modality: Movement, Drama, Film, and Digital Art Materials: Samsung Galaxy Edge,

on the corner waiting for the van to take me to therapy. The outfit that day was likely a black hoodie, studded
belt, family guy t–shirt, skinny jeans, and checkered vans. The music blasted through foam covered Sony
headphones that looped behind my neck. The song 'Pieces Mended' by The Used (2002) played on a beat up
disc man, which was decorated in yellow caution tape, duct tape, and sharpie marker. Three minutes passed –
felt more like a decade. I remember thinking that the entire situation was bullshit and no medication, or
amount of therapy was going to help me. The only ingredients that would ensure a smooth day were
whiskey, a wine flavored dutch, and my bed. The song lyrics supported my decision to ditch therapy that
day, because honestly, what did "they" know about anything. The lyric, "fuck it, I'm fine" became my motto
for the next few years (The Used, 2002). Present Day Detailed memories from childhood and adolescence

Digital Media And Video Art And New Media Art
Pop culture and art have always intertwined, as art often reflect the culture and time of that period. Now in
this tech savvy culture of the 21st century, artists are trying to explain this weird new era of technology
seeping into our everyday lives, through video art and screen based media. There is no doubt that the Internet
has transformed our everyday lives, with useful apps, online banking and social media, the world is not the
same as it was 10 years ago. Future generations, wont even remember a time without the Internet or touch
screen devices. This type of new Internet culture opens and changes the social dynamic and conventions,
into a new language. For artists this opens up a new platform to create, explore and to exhibit their work in a
new space. Social media, allows people to connect and to distribute content from all over the world, making
it ever so easy to access anything now. However, for the art world this raises questions as to who owns or
curates content and whether new media art that has emerged due to advancement of technology is considered
fine art?
To understand this new wave of art, we first must define what is new media art is. New media art and video
art have very similar backgrounds and parallels. Video art emerged during the 1960's, due to the introduction
of portable cameras, which allowed everyday people to create their own content. Similar to video art, new

So, people have been creating digital art unknowingly for a rather long time. Other computer programs have
been developed over the years, the main provider being Adobe Creative Cloud which contains both desktop
and mobile applications. Although, Adobe Creative Cloud and Autodesk are more popular tools for digital
art there are other applications unrelated to them just as exceptional. In addition, to the ever–changing world
of technology, notebooks and sketchbooks have been made so someone can sketch in them, and then transfer
the drawing into a digital art application with minimal effort. Prior to this, one would have to draw the
picture straight on the device or go through a long grueling and exasperating process to transfer one drawing.
For this reason, a company by the name of Moleskin created these sketchbooks and notebooks that are so
incredibly, wonderful to use. Thus, broadening the horizon of possible ways to create digital art with the use
of a smart phone, laptop, tablet, and now sketchbooks it can be created anywhere at any time.
The simplicity of digital art programs excites anyone with an imagination to create art endlessly. It has
become the art of the future because it is a way to create art in a non–chaotic way. Although, creating DA is
relatively simply there are still ways for someone to learn how to use the more complex programs. Digital art

The impact of technology within an arts context lies above all in the fact that the technology is used to beauty Viewers who see how technology is used, begin to realize that it can be used in creative and other ways than were intended. In addition, certain aspects of technology can be presented better and clearer within an arts context. Often, the aim of the digital video is to allow users to learn faster or relax deeper, but artists have extended the experience with such devices into the realm of art. The digital art is disadvantageous when the viewer is not focusing so hard to master; the viewer field of vision may still become narrow by reading the shape, and may be difficult for the viewer to obtain the other information presented outside the viewer field of vision. That has been difficult to grasp the information simultaneously as expressed by space in video. In addition, the information that the viewer considers to be important is limited to printed information, and information that is important to the viewer may be displayed in areas aside from the area displayed. For this reason, there has been such a risk that when viewing video in which motion picture are displayed, the viewer may miss important information. However, there has been the problem that when a viewer is concentrating on reading printed words, the viewer attention is diverted from other information aside. In such case, even if the viewer can understand the information being presented, the viewer may not be able to understand the other information expressed by video. Tc Research Paper                 TIC: THERMAL IMAGING CAMERA           In the mid–1980's, the thermal imaging camera (TIC) was introduced into the firefighting market as another tool to aide in their ability to save lives, including their fellow firefighters. However, since its introduction there have been numerous discussions whether or not the TIC has a place in the firefighter's arsenal of tools. It is claimed that the TIC is "...one of the most spectacular applications of technology introduced into the fire service since the steam engine..." (http://www.avadtech.com). Along the same lines, a fixed camera with pan–tilt–zoom capability can be placed inside a burn building during a training session and can be controlled from a remote location.      From an application standpoint, the telemetry system might include the ability to operate multiple cameras in a single scene. For example, in the case of a search & rescue, there could be multiple camera–men looking for victims. In this case, the command center can keep track of individuals inside by seeing the same image in the telemetry system as the firefighter sees in his camera. In other applications, the telemetry system might be required to be secure. In other words, there are situations where the transmitted information should only be received by the intended party and not be picked up by a local television crew or other unintended users.      Another application of the telemetry system is on ladder trucks. Typically, a ladder truck that has a hose attachement is used to spray water from the roof. The problem is that the water is sprayed without knowing exactly where the water is going. Consider a situation where a TIC on a pan–tilt–zoom control can be placed on the end of a ladder. At the bottom of the ladder, the firefighter will then be able to see where the water from the hose is being sprayed and be able to control the water stream. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Research Proposal Phd Digital Arts And Humanities Oxford... Research Proposal PhD Digital Arts and Humanities UCC Cork Michael Kurzmeier The information age is also the age of massive data collection, of databases, records, data mining and big data in all it's empowering and destructive potential. Not only since the Snowden leaks of 2012 has the question of, who records and who is being recorded become of interest to a wide audience. Access to such data collection, the knowledge about it and the subjects' relation to all–encompassing technology have been the basis of many influential writings of the last two decades. From works such as Empire (Hardt and Negri) that investigate the effects of an all–encompassing global communication network on what Habermas called the "public sphere" to Geert Lovink's investigation into the roots and practices of critical Internet culture, scholars agree on the existing and growing importance of data access. In addition to that exists another school of thought more concerned with the realizations of (digital) memory. Starting from Derrida's writing on the archive (Derrida), to works such as Wolfgang Ernst's Media Archeology, scholars are interested in the effects of media as memory agents. However, none of these works have yet adequately addressed the question of sustainable storage in relation to the power systems as described above. As the pace in the global information network increases every day and news about data collection, surveillance and leaks have become almost daily news, the question ... Digital art also being define as art in which information is translated for use by computer. Computer art not only broaden the border of art by reach over limitation, but cited from Molnar it also can encourage the mind to work in new ways (Popper: 80). Thus, it is up to audience to decide does digital art contain the same value as conventional art. Even though the difference is only usage of tools, but impact and acceptance of digital art in Malaysia is still far away from society acceptance. Area of Interest First digital artwork which produces by Dr. Kamarudzaman shows that digital art is very interesting in creating and manipulate ordinary images and make it as work of art. The Pioneers of digital art were not artists but people who were exploring new visions through computers and the writing of computer programs. According to the Digital Art Museum, which is a joint venture between London Guildhall University and two independent art galleries, digital art can currently be classified according to three phases Phase I of digital art was from 1956–1986. The Paintbox Era, the second phase, lasted from 1986–1996. Art software became readily available and attracted more artists to the new media. It is becoming more widely accepted as an art form but only a few museums and galleries display computer art. These technological innovations however, have allowed artists to combine traditional forms with new electronic techniques to produce unique and exciting works of art. The computer has increasingly become a versatile tool for digital artists. Many artists are creating dynamic and flexible works of art through computer networks. The digital age is creating a new movement in the art world and the computer is becoming a symbol for this revolution. The future of Digital art is tremendous and it has the capability of transforming how art is defined and created. It is not the tool that determines what is art, but the artist and their personal vision and style. The complexity and diversity of the new digital media will be challenging to artists and allow them a new means to express their vision of the world. Most people are of the opinion that art must be created in the old fashioned way to be considered fine art. Traditional art is created with pen and ink, brush and paint or chisel and stone. Art generated by a computer however, defies the traditional rules, values and boundaries of the mainstream art community. The computer is considered technical; therefore, it is not artistic. Computer artists must contend with the close mindedness of the traditional art world. The digital media artist is thought to be less skillful than a painter or sculptor ... • 16. Digital Art : Traditional Vs. Traditional Art Usually, the word "art" is associated with painting, or the class that was required in primary school, but that is not always the case. There are far more mediums and styles to art than one can imagine. There are two major groups to art, traditional and digital. Traditional includes majority of the arts that require being hands– on and having a physical result, such as a painted canvas, or a clay sculpture. Digital art uses a computer to create the art, such as using a drawing tablet, or a 3D sculpting program, such as Blender, or ZBrush, which are common for 3D animation, or video game configurations. While these two concepts sound completely different, they also jive together to make the best products. Without the computer, there would not be digital art, and today's art would be limited to the traditional factors, not that traditional art is limiting, there are just many more advances thanks to technology and its evolution through everyday. Overall, Digital art is better than Traditional art because it is indestructible, it takes up less space, and its constantly evolving. Traditional art has been around since the very beginning of the human race, including the Stonehenge, and the cave wall paintings in France. Even if today we can not tell what they mean, or what they are, it is still considered are by many, and will be for years to come. In this work, God's right arm is outstretched to reveal the spark of life from his own finger into that of Adam, whose left arm is extended in a position reflecting God's, a reminder that man is formed in the reflection and resemblance of God. Another point is that Adam's finger and God's finger are not touching. It gives the sense that God, the provider of life, is extending out to Adam who has yet to accept it. In the preservation piece the two arms represent humanity, and the left arm is covered with earth and all living creations of God. The right arm is covered by a world full of fire, burning from the inside out. Another point is the left side has blue skies showing a sign tranquility, relaxation, and peace, with white clouds. The color white is to represent Innocence and purity. • 20. Digital Media And The Origin Of New Media Art Nowadays, more often than not, we tend to loosely define New Media as Digital Media, primarily because these media's internet–dependency. However, the origins of new media art can be traced to the moving photographic inventions of the late 19th century such as the zoetrope (1834), the praxinoscope (1877) and Eadweard Muybridge's zoopraxiscope (1879). From the 1920s through the 1950s, various forms of kinetic and light art, from Thomas Wilfred's 'Lumia' (1919) and 'Clavilux' light organs to Jean Tinguely's self– destructing sculpture 'Homage to New York' (1960) can be seen as progenitors of new media art (Vostell, 2012) There's no doubt that technology is moving art and its creative process over time. The invention of portable paint tubes and art supplies made outdoor painting accessible and Impressionism prevalent, from where we have had the honor to know about Claude Monet through his legendary lily pond from his suburban residence at Giverny, France and on the walls of canvas at Musee L'Orangerie in the city of Paris. More recently in the 20th century, if it is not for the revolutionary invention of silkscreen printing, Andy Warhol would not have become a household name in the art world. The truth is, to artists, technology has been a driving force to constantly provide and inspire new ways of art creation for a long time, arguably since the beginning of art history. However, it is not until the recent decades in the 20th and 21st century that we start to see the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Digital forensics is a science, which involves collection, preservation and documentation of the digital evidence from various digital storage media. This entire process must be undertaken in fashion that is appropriate forensically, and results in collection of data, which can be made admissible in a court of law during the investigation of a crime. The branch of Network forensics is relatively a newer branch of digital forensics, and it involves carefully analyzing the data that is flowing in a network to find any possible evidences of intrusion or theft. The information flow in a network is always dynamic in nature, and thus this branch of digital forensics needs to be proactive in its approach. One of the usage of this branch lies in the investigation of network data for any traffic that might seem anomalous in nature, for the purpose of detecting intrusions. The second usage lies in the area of law enforcement, where the evidence gathered by Network Forensics can be used as evidence in case of a crime. Mobile Device Forensics relates to data and evidence recovery from a mobile device, be it a mobile phone, PDA, tablet, GPS device, and so on. This area of forensics is a bit challenging due to the reason that exact pin pointing of location where from communication was initiated is not accurately possible. Other factors adding to the challenge are the diversity of manufacturers and models, multiple hardware and software specifications, and data recovery tools that may not bring the desired results on all platforms. • 24. The Art of Digital Animation Norman McLaren said, "Animation is not the art of drawings that move but the art of movements that are drawn." To be a digital animator, independence and social skills are needed. Strong design skills and computer savvy will be key. (Clark 185) To be successful or to even get a job the animator needs a proper foundation. Having social skills, years of experience, and even a degree (not often) are needed to do so. The long hours can be fun or enjoyable in the beginning seeing as the animator is doing what they love but eventually, they will be exhausted and with deadlines they can screw their self over without being prepared. Being educated in the field is highly suggested, to understanding of color, form, shape, dynamics, and so on is needed. However, the only way the animator can truly learn is through experience, actual practice. Some people look to be apprentices to other animator and learn through being in that type of environment. Being a digital animator has it's pros, cons, is full of history, and has a simple method of getting into. Digital animation is a vital piece in the entertainment industry today. Talented artists from all over get into the field to create amazing works of art. An animator produces multiple images that are referred to as frames. These frames when compiled in sequence create a moving picture known as animation. • 34. College Admissions Essay: Chess, Digital Art I have many interests. Three of them are chess, digital art and, poetry. These activities allow me to convey my creativity. In chess, there are countless possibilities of how one can checkmate his or her opponent. As for digital art, the possibilities are endless because of the limitlessness of art. Similarly, with poetry I enjoy using literary devices such as, personification, similes and metaphors to express the message I am conveying. I learned how to play chess when I was four years old. Interestingly enough, my love for chess sprouted from the natural urge for a son to beat his father. One day, my Dad taught me how to move chess pieces across the board along with the rules of the game. Due to my competitive spirit, I tried my hardest to win every match. Even though I was an amateur and lost every match, I did not quit. Personally, I would rather lose every game then have someone let me win. I quickly learned from every mistake I made and learned how to capitalize on every mistake my opponent made. With every loss, I grew stronger and my goal became more and more achievable. Finally, one day I won for the first time and the proud look on my Dad's face made all of the losses well worth it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... On the other hand exposure of working with United Nations Envoy on Youth also helped me in evolving as a leader who has the quality of thinking analytically towards global problems. Francis Grasso is the earliest known DJ to introduce the concept of "mixing" to the art of record programming. He began "slip cueing" which refers to slamming in a new record on beat with the fading record without interrupting the flow of the program. When Thoren company came out with turntables that had variable speed, called "pitch control", the concept of blending was born. Francis Grasso quickly picked up on the possibilities offered by the new invention and is credited with the ability to keep two records on beat and in sync for over two minutes. This paper aims at addressing the various areas of research associated with the ideas of digital art, starting from the history, through its various dimensions and demonstrations, working and functionalities of computer, significant work in the area and ending with the emergence of various ideas that surrounds this developing discipline. The history of digital art, which can be more broadly referred to as electronic art, is not only written whilst affected by the consolidation of the aesthetic and foundation that Stewart Brand claims for contemporary culture, but also in the very acceptance of digital art by the institutions and curators of the art world. It is a reality that digital art has remained in a transition for a considerable period of time and has yet to be established as a proper discipline. One of the earliest ancestors of digital art is the neo–impressionist painter Seurat. He created a new technique that has a resemblance to what later will become the pixels. A pixel is the smallest unit of a computer image. On this point, the critic Donald Kuspit notes the effect Seurat had on impressionism and especially later neo–impressionism to pointillism and then to inspire pixels. It is the user that converts the image into art and the viewer (be it a judge or not) who determines if it is to their liking or not. Art and photography have a lot of qualities in common and there seems to be a fine line between the two. There's always an on–going debate with and between photographers and others as to what can be legitimately identified as photography and what constitutes digital art. According to Suzane Keene (2004), the essence of the traditional museum – 'as classifier, authoritative holder and producer of knowledge and as source of the "right" interpretation and view of society through place–based exhibitions – is a building' (p. 3). By contrast, the museum of the future is more of a process or an experience, moving out into the spaces of the communities it serves. Therefore, a fundamental difference between the traditional museum and the museum of the 21st century is the type of space used to preserve and present cultural heritage and the modes of access and availability this space offers. Keene points out to another difference, which has to do with what is central to museums and archives – the object. As the importance of the meaning of the object and its past grows, so does the need to collect and present the intangible, as well as the tangible. The museum of the future sharpens its focus on collecting and exhibiting knowledge, rather than simply the object. Furthermore, with the perspective of new technologies, the process of digitization intensely defines the make–up of the museum of the future. Keene argues that, as inventories and catalogues of collections are increasingly digitized, 'so they must become available as a single resource, together with related information provided by libraries, archives, sites and monuments' (p. 4). Negative Effects Of Photoshop On Society Seerat Gidda Professor Michelle Superle English 105 November 20, 2017 Effects of Photoshop on Society Research Essay Draft 3 "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent," once said by the famous Eleanor Roosevelt. As true as that may be, the advances of technology in the modern era make that difficult. Photoshop, an image–editing software that allows you to alter images limitlessly, is one of the biggest dilemmas facing society today. "Photoshop has the power to manipulate an image's appearance beyond recognition, making it possible to transform an average looking individual into a 'Barbie girl, in a Barbie world'" ( Brown 87). This act of photo–manipulation didn't begin with "Adobe Photoshop," a photoshop software that has been accused of sabotaging the truthfulness of photographs, but rather it began long before in the 1800s when techniques like hand colouring and retouching were done physically by the photographer's hands instead of a computer's (Fineman dust jacket). The use of photoshop, or the act of photo– manipulation, has a negative impact on society. It causes self–esteem issues and possibly even eating and mental disorders due to the viewers being falsely directed by "flawless" images that distort reality. In recent discussions of modern photography, a controversial issue has been whether photo manipulation is ethical. On one hand some argue that photoshop has "enhanced and expanded photography exponentially as an art form" making the possibilities ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Lockley University of Arkansas Fort Smith Should Students Be Digitally Connected In Public Schools? Education is ever–changing and students need to be confident, creative, connected and active lifelong learners. Digital technologies are very important to our student's world as they use them to connect with each other, learn new skills and pursue their interest. Luckey (2009) stated "For students in particular, technology is almost an extension of themselves. They use it to communicate, to discover the world, to play games, to collaborate, to create things, to write, to read, and to organize their lives. Nothing can be more foreign to them than school without technology or where technology is relegated to its own special place." Mobile devices with the power of digital technology are being placed in every student's hand in schools around the world which equips them with the personal technology needed to learn and communicate in the 21st century. While these programs can be very effective for students, they can be challenging for schools. Some educators believe that digital technology in the classroom may cause more of a distraction to students; however integrating digital technology in the classroom helps students become more engaged. In the digital world, data is at students' fingertips 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Technology is everywhere and many students have adopted practices ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 64. How Digital Media Is Helping Us Or Not? Essay With several experiments taking place around digital media, you'd think there would've been a firm answer on its effects by now. The fact is there has been an answer for the problem, except it's not just one answer, its's several more than just one. McWilliams tackles the outcomes of the answers and whether or not digital media is helping us or not. With several sections dictating the effects of digital media and one's mind, he provides us with fact and thought filling sections on each of the occurring issues. Whether or not McWilliams facts prove a point, it will surely dictate whether his argument would prove to be persuasive. As McWilliams begins to introduce his article with a story from Paul Miller who detached himself completely from the web, you can see he is giving us an example. Someone who perhaps relates with McWilliams argument. And this is supported lately after seeing the outcome of Millers detachment. Such as having the ability to become a more effective writer (par. 3). Now we begin to see the creation of what could possibly be McWilliams argument. He then steps into what begins to be his idea of gaining back power in his second section, reclaiming control. His idea consists of understanding the ability to reclaim control from our attention span sucking devices (par. 6) He goes off on a works cited frenzy, consisting of statements from opposite ends of the issue. Some tech addicts would say there is nothing to worry about (par. 6). However McWilliams ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 66. How Digital Reproduction Has Changed The Art Of Print Making I do believe that the advent of digital reproduction has changed the art of printmaking. According to the book, "Exploring Art: A Global, Thematic Approach," by Margaret Lazzari and Dona Schlesier states that printmaking is the method of creating a variety of images and designs and then printing them onto paper. As technology has advanced over the years, so has the process and creation of art. For instance, artists are now able to make sculptures from computer–aided programs and print them into three–dimensional forms (Lazzari and Schlesier 79). I personally think that this three–dimensional printer takes away the artists touch. Yes, it is their creation and it will still become a beautiful piece of artwork, but it's missing the physical touch from the artist themselves. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As mentioned above, technology has evolved over the years and has had an impact in the art world. For example, an artist would hand draw and paint their creations and that was the only copy. Whereas, digital images can be manipulated with computer software (Lazzari and Schlesier 85). I believe that it takes away the worth of the original print. If you have access to getting the same piece of artwork online for free or a cheaper price. Then, why would you bother paying more for the original piece? Technology : Overused By Children Technology: Overused by Children "Our children's digital lives are turning them into much different creatures from us – and not necessarily for the better." – Dalton Conley, Time Magazine Imagine a world without technology. It is almost impossible to do and might even cause the average Millennial some major anxiety. Every day we use it whether it is our cars, phones, shopping, games and most importantly in the education of students. Homework, class assignments and grades are accessed via blackboard for students as early as kindergarten. Most elementary aged children have no idea what is like to do research the "good old fashioned way" with books from a library that they found using a card catalog. According to The National Center for Education Center, most students spend an average of 6 ½ hours at school each day with 45 minutes to 1 hour of P.E (physical education) (2008). That is a lot of time spent sitting down using digital devices. It is quite remarkable but is leading our children down a familiar path to a sedentary life. Childhood obesity has reached epidemic proportions in the United States (US) – approximately 17% of children ages 6–11 and 21% of children ages 12–17 years old are obese ((Taverno Ross, Dowda, Dishman, & Pate, 2016, p. 352). We are asking our children to be confined to classroom glaring at a screen all day which can cause deterioration of eye health. It is mainly attributing it to sitting for hours in front of a computer screen. It can cause stress to a child 's eyes since the computer forces the child to focus and strain a lot more than any other task which can directly put a child at a greater risk than adults for developing symptoms of computer vision syndrome (Heiting,G.& Wan,L.K , 2016). Another problem that stems from the over use of technology is the loss problem solving skills and imagination. Since children rely on technology to give them quick answers they often are not presented with an opportunity for the individual to use his or her imagination or to use their own ... One of the prominent ways in which The Wellcome Collection is utilising digital media is through the use of digital storytelling. This is a relatively new term that describes a form of digital media production that allows people to share stories through video, animation, photography, and audio. Review Of ' Pieces Mended ' By Film, And Digital Art Title: 'Pieces Mended' Modality: Movement, Drama, Film, and Digital Art Materials: Samsung Galaxy Edge, HP stream, Filmora editing software, and music by The Used. Flashback: The year was 2002, I was standing on the corner waiting for the van to take me to therapy. The outfit that day was likely a black hoodie, studded belt, family guy t–shirt, skinny jeans, and checkered vans. The music blasted through foam covered Sony headphones that looped behind my neck. The song 'Pieces Mended' by The Used (2002) played on a beat up disc man, which was decorated in yellow caution tape, duct tape, and sharpie marker. Three minutes passed – felt more like a decade. I remember thinking that the entire situation was bullshit and no medication, or amount of therapy was going to help me. The only ingredients that would ensure a smooth day were whiskey, a wine flavored dutch, and my bed. The song lyrics supported my decision to ditch therapy that day, because honestly, what did "they" know about anything. The lyric, "fuck it, I'm fine" became my motto for the next few years (The Used, 2002). Present Day Detailed memories from childhood and adolescence are difficult to remember, but the emotions that arise in association with being fifteen are difficult to forget. Using music and movement made it easier to embody a younger version of myself for the Adolescent Mandala assignment. Embodiment meant going back to that song – that motto, and recalling those moments when "[b]eing faced with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In addition, to the ever–changing world of technology, notebooks and sketchbooks have been made so someone can sketch in them, and then transfer the drawing into a digital art application with minimal effort.
