electricity in Indonesia. All facilities /
facilities, organizations and policies relating

2. 1. MAP OF INDONESIAN ELECTRICITY
Although there are still other fields relating to the electricity business sector of PT, PLN, in this

3. 2. POWER GENERATION
The main player in the field of electrical assembly is PT. Pembangkitan
Jawa Bali (PT. PJB), PT. PJB Service and PT. Indonesia Power (PT. IP).

4. A. PT. Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB)
PT. Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB) has a main business segment as a provider of electricity
through 9 (nine) Generating Units (UP) with a total installed capacity of 7,055 MW spread
across Indonesia with energy sources from natural gas, coal steam, water flows, diesel, and
solar power. Cirata Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA), in Purwakarta, West Java, is a power
plant with the largest installed capacity of 1,008 MW.
Operational and Maintenance / O & M services for plants are carried out with a direct delivery
mechanism to customers through plant operation and maintenance services based on O & M
contracts
The business in the field of O & M services is carried out by PJB and its subsidiary (PT PJB
Services) and establishes a joint venture company. The total number of plants managed by
PJB through O & M services is 7,001 MW spread over 25 (twenty five) locations.
5. PJB manages 7 (seven) Operations and Maintenance Services Business Units (UBJOM) in
Java, while PJBS manages 17 (seventeen) Operations and Maintenance Services Business
Units (UBJOM) outside Java. While the PJB Joint Venture company manages 1 (one)
generating unit in Java. O & M services managed by PJB through UBJOM Jawa amounting to
4,605 MW spread over 7 (seven) locations.
O & M services managed by PT PJB Services outside Java amounted to 1,076 MW spread
over 17 (seventeen) locations.
O & M services managed by joint venture companies are PLTU Tanjung Jati B Unit # 3 and # 4
with a capacity of 2 x 660 MW located in Jepara, Central Java. The O & M service
management was carried out by PJB in partnership with a Korean company, Korea Midland
Power, by establishing a joint venture company called PT Komipo Pembangkitan Jawa Bali
(KPJB).
6. B. PT. INDONESIA POWER
PT. Indonesia Power (IP) has carried out Maintenance Operations Services Business
Development throughout Indonesia both through its own management, as well as through its
Subsidiaries. PT Indonesia Power manages 5 Generation Units (UP), 12 Generating Services
Units (UJP) and 3 Generation and Service Generation Units (UPJP) and 1 Maintenance
Services Unit (UJH)
PT Indonesia Power has 5 Generating Units (UP) with a total installed capacity of 6,473 MW.
The Suralaya Generating Unit in Cilegon-Banten is the largest generating unit with an installed
capacity of 3,400 MW with an energy source from Coal Steam.
PT Indonesia Power also operates and maintains plants with a total installed capacity of 6,044
MW through 18 Service Generation Units (UJP) and has 3 Generation and Service Generation
Units (UPJP) with a total installed capacity of 2,289 MW.
7. C. INDEPENDENT POWER PRODUCER (IPP)
In Indonesia there are 46 private companies as Independent Power Producers (IPP) with a
total installed capacity of 17,726 MW. The Tanjung Jati B PLTU in Jepara-Central Java, owned
by the Special Purpose Company (SPC), is listed as the company with the largest installed
capacity of 1,320 MW, followed by the Paiton 1 PLTU owned by PT. Paiton Energi Corp., with
an installed capacity of 1230 MW and Paiton 2 PLTU owned by PT. Jawa Power with an
installed capacity of 1,220 MW
8. D. PRIVATE CORPORATE OWNED
Some large companies also have their own power plants for the company's internal needs. In
East Java, several companies such as PT. Semen Indonesia, PT. Pupuk Indonesia (under the
name of PT. Pupuk Indonesia Energi (PT. PI Energi), PT. Pretrokimia Gresik, etc., also
recorded a total installed capacity of 360 MW from these companies.
9. 3. TRANSMISSION, DISTRIBUTION & TELECOMUNICATION
In addition to the field of electricity generation, the Indonesian electricity market also has
potential in the fields of Transmission, Distribution and Telecommunications. The electrical
transmission system in Indonesia is managed by 3 Transmission Units and 2 Load Control
Centers. While in the Distribution Sector, it is managed by Distribution Area Offices located in all
provinces in Indonesia, as well as Distribution Offices in almost all major cities in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the telecommunications sector in the Indonesian electricity market is managed by
PT Icon + as a subsidiary of a money company managing the telecommunications services and
information systems in the Indonesian electricity market.
