Rachel Carson is considered one of America's finest science and nature writers. She is best known for her 1962 book, Silent Spring, which is often

organ procurement at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center utilized two rooms during the donation process. The family was with the patient in the first

USE OF CASE
This case vividly illustrates the important role of trust, reputation, and confidence in corporate America, since the fall of both Enron and Andersen
resulted from the loss of these critical elements. Because the Enron/Andersen debacle involves one of the largest bankruptcies and perhaps the single
most significant audit failure in U.S. history, the level of student interest in this case is high. Thus, the case provides an excellent venue for discussion
of many different topics ranging from auditor independence to the nature and intent of financial accounting standards. This case is ideal for use as an
out–of–class written assignment or as a basis for class presentation and/or discussion. Either way, an in–class discussion of the issues is critical to
vividly highlight the lessons of this case. If the case is to be used for an in–class discussion, we recommend having students read it prior to the in–class
discussion, as the case is fairly lengthy. In class, students can meet in pairs or small groups to discuss and compare their conclusions. Once all students

Throughout history, Americans have grown up with different beliefs on what a zombie is. According to webster.com, "a zombie is a will

speechless human (as in the West Indian voodoo beliefs and in fictional stories) held to have died and been supernaturally reanimated." The idea of
zombies was introduced to mainstream western culture in 1929 when W. B. Seabrook wrote The Magic Island. This book detailed his observations of
life in Haiti, including the practice of voodoo. Zombies are part of the voodoo religion, although only of a small division, referred to as the "cult of the
dead." The practitioners of conventional voodoo typically wanted nothing to do with these people who practiced necromancy, according to Seabrook.
Necromancy is the practice of magic involving the communication with the dead. Nonetheless, in western culture the ideas of voodoo and zombies
became intricately linked. According to CSI, The Committee Skeptical for Inquiries, states that "the zombie legends portrayed in movies such as
Dawn of the Dead or 28 Days Later follow a similar pattern to the vampire legends. Once you are bitten by zombies, while you may manage to

In response to the problem of getting producers to sign long–term contracts to supply gas, Enron started giving such producers cash up front instead of
payment over the life of the contracts. Enron then allowed the natural gas con tracts it devised–which were quite complex and variable, depending on
