Inspection, counting and verification of supplied materials (stock items) for conformity with the
specifications specified in the purchase order, acceptance of the supplied stock items upon
conformity with the specifications specified in the purchase order and rejection if otherwise.
2. Issuing goods received notes for the accepted supplied materials, authorizing issuance of
items requested for with the guidance and foresight of the head of stores, making entries for
both receipts and issues of stock items in the electronic stock cards in the system (Microsoft
Dynamics Navision Classics 2009) in order to update the systems stock balance with alignment
with the actual balance in stores, ensuring proper custody of all items kept in the stores and
order picking and servicing of approved orders as specified in the stores procedural manual.
Undertaking placement of stock items in the specific space locations allocated to them, asset
verification and stock taking.
Carrying out supplier reconciliation in order to filter out those suppliers whose invoices are
long overdue for payment to be effected, reporting on any damaged stock item that need be
considered for writing off, undertaking stock coding as per the pre-defined stock classes and
engraving stock codes or item tags on these stock items for easy identification and proper
