Provide equal opportunity to students.
Encourage students to review, rehearse and practice.
Conduct continuous and comprehensive evaluation.
Diagnose learning difficulties in students, provide remedial instructions.
9. Teacher as MANAGER
As a manager the teacher has to :
Plan his work carefully.
Set short-term and long-term objectives.
Execute his plans properly.
Organize students and physical resources systematically.
Control and monitor the process regularly.
Evaluate the performance continuously.
Modify his plans as necessary.
Be a leader of the group.
Be approachable and understanding in nature.
10. Teacher as a FACILITATOR
Not only a leader but also a facilitator of learning, he must :
Listen attentively, accept students feelings and ideas
Ask questions to students, encourage them.
Observe student’s reactions skillfully.
Be responsible, systematic, flexible ,work oriented.
Explain things clearly and reward fairly.
Encourage classroom discussion, panel discussion, peer tutoring, co-operative
learning.
Lecture, demonstrate and explain things with examples.
Encourage independent student habits.
Maintain balance of direction and freedom.
11. Teacher as COUNSELLOR
As a counsellor the teacher has to :
Helps students to choose subjects of his/her needs, interests and abilities.
Assist students to take advantage of scholarships and financial assistance.
Help students to choose appropriate books and reference materials.
Assist students solve their personal problems;
Develop insight into their problems
Develop decision making ability thereby solving their problem.
Assist students in developing personality.
Guide students to make proper use of leisure time.
12. Teacher as a COMMUNITY LEADER
Create awareness about welfare schemes, developmental programs.
Advice and guide the community for communal harmony, emotional and
national integration.
Participate and lead the community in literacy campaign, population
education, environmental cleanliness, tree plantation, disaster
management etc.
Include public in school programs.
Be familiar with all changes in community.
Conscientize with the development in educational policies and programs.

As a systematist the teacher has to :
Select appropriate instructional inputs.
Evolve new instructional system.
Compared to conductor of an orchestra.
Integrate instructional inputs.
