3. History
Cricket introduced to Bengal by the British in the 18th century but its growth
in East Bengal was slow.
Following Partition and the creation of East Pakistan.
first-class and Test cricket were played there during the 1950s and 1960s.
Although cricket continued to be popular after independence, especially
in Dhaka
winning the 1997 ICC Trophy.
Making a good showing at the 1999 Cricket World cup.
Bangladesh created its National Cricket League (NCL) in 1999–2000 to
prepare the way for Full Membership of the ICC.

4. BCB-Bangladesh Cricket Board
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)”, (Bengali: বাাংলাদেশ ক্রিদেট ববার্ড ) is the main
governing body of cricket in Bangladesh.
The BCB became a full member of the International Cricket Council on 26 June
2000.
The Board has its headquarters in Dhaka.
It is responsible for the operation and development of cricket, maintenance of
venues, and selection for the national team.
It is operated by the Government of Bangladesh.

Our history has written after becoming the champion in the “ICC CUP Championship” in 1997 and
qualified for playing in the world cup. In 1997 the team squad is given below.

10. Mohammad Rafique :
One of the most senior players in our country, Mohammad Rafique was better known for his
abilities in ODIs early his career. He was the first Bangladesh bowler to take 100 wickets in Test
matches.

11. Performance in Tests Cricket
Bangladesh is a full member of the International Cricket Council Test status.
Played first Test match in 2000 (against India at Dhaka ), becoming the tenth
Test cricket playing nation.
Bangladesh's inaugural Test match takes place in Dhaka against
touring India on 10–14 November 2000.
As of 28 March 2017, Bangladesh has played 100 Tests, winning nine tests
among them

14. Performance in ODIs Cricket
Bangladesh played their first ODI on 31 March 1986 against Pakistan.
In 1997, Bangladesh became a regular ICC member with the right to play ODIs.
Bangladesh won their first ODI on 17 March 1998 against Kenya.
In 2006,Bangladesh hosted Zimbabwe for 5 ODI matches To white wash them.
In 2010,a great series in Bangladesh cricket history to white wash New Zealand
in this series.
In 2015, India Tour Bangladesh 3 ODI Series Bangladesh Won (2-1)
In 2016,Afganistan Tour Bangladesh ODI Series (1-2) Bangladesh won .
