A Research Study On Prioritization Methods
Today many companies struggle to define which request has to be fulfilled first (Aberdeen group,
2012). However, not so many researches about IS enhancements prioritization have been published
but there are several approaches to solve this problem. For this research we have used such
databases as: IEEE Xplore, Emerald, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect. We want to mention the most
commonly used and most interesting methods that can be found in free and paid sources. For our
investigation we have also studied materials of consulting and research organizations that shares
knowledge and provide their solutions to overcame the challenge such as Gartner, Aberdeen group,
Innotas and etc.
All major researches on IS projects and CRs prioritization that were studied for our research a listed

The control hierarchy, critical for ANP analysis, provides overriding criteria for comparing each
type of interaction that is intended by the network representation. There are two types of control
criteria [16]. A control criterion may be directly connected to the structure as the goal of a hierarchy
if the structure is in fact a hierarchy. In this case the control criterion is called a
comparison–''linking'' criterion. Otherwise a control criterion does not connect directly to the
structure but ''induces'' comparisons in a network. In this case the control criterion is called a
comparison– 'inducing'' criterion. With the scope of this paper, the second control criteria (a
comparison–''inducing'' criterion) is chosen according to the relationship between criterias and
alternatives. In the application of ANP, software like, Ecnet, Super Decision or mathematical
programs like Excel, Maple, Mathematica can be used. Since its introduction, ANP has been getting
more widely used in decision making and numerous applications have been published in literature.
For example; ANP model is used by Momoh and Zhu [27], for the selection of generating power
units for appropriate price allocation in a competitive power industry, Sarkis and Meade [18], for
selection of logistics strategy; Buyukyazıcı [19], for finding the most important factor ¨ ¨ ˘ for

Abstract: Occurrence of groundwater in the basement complex of Raichur, Karnataka is controlled
by secondary porosity developed through weathering and cracking of bed rocks. Raichur is a semi
arid region that is characterized by erratic rainfall. Surface water from rivers is inadequate and the
only option to supply both human and animal population is groundwater. To avoid the ever common
incident of borehole failing to yield water or drying up soon after commissioning, groundwater
mapping is paramount. In this study, remote sensing (RS) and Geographical Information System
(GIS) techniques have been used to identify and map groundwater potential zones using
geomorphology, lithology, lineament density, recharge, depth to groundwater, slope, rainfall and
drainage density. These thematic layers were selected for groundwater mapping based on literature
and geophysical investigation and data appropriately weighted using AHP. Geomorphology and
lineament layers were derived from LISS 4 images. The final groundwater potential zones of the
area are characterized into; Very high, high, moderate and low. .

Technology And Its Impact On The Classroom And The...
Additionally, Januszewski and Molenda (2008) who suggested the gold–standard definition of
educational technology, stated that the focus of EdTech research is now on the "appropriate
application of processes and technologies" (p. 2) to enhance learning. Two things can be inferred
from this statement: 1) the question is how to use technology, rather than what technology to use;
and 2) the focus is to enhance learning. To find answer to this question, EdTech researchers need to
look beyond the classroom and the individual learner and pay attention to the ways technology is
being used in the real–world settings. They should take into account the "social, political, economic,
cultural and historical contexts within which educational technology use (and non–use) is located"
(Selwyn, 2010, p. 66). Therefore, instead of assuming inherent benefits in a particular technology –
what Smith (1994) called "technological determinism" – and carrying out rigid, predictive
experiments to confirm its impact, we need more research exploring the socially shaped nature of
technology as it happens in the real, messy contexts (Selwyn, 2010). This is an important shift for
the field, because the majority of the studies in the past decades has been on how technologies
should be used for learning or what could happen with digital technologies, while the reasons and
the ways technologies are actually being used in the wider social contexts have remained under–
studied. This is particularly relevant to

New Technology In Health Care
The evaluation of new technology in today's health care environment has become a very important
issue for hospitals and other health care providers. Much has been written in the areas of financial
analysis, price negotiation, and acquisition errors. This article addresses issues that hospitals and
other health care providers may not have considered in their evaluation of new technology. These
issues include: (1) costs currently not included in the evaluation process, (2) consideration of the
threat of litigation, (3) use of technology to attract patients and physicians, (4) adjustment of
payment rates from payers, (5) evaluation of the physical layout of the facilities surrounding the new
technology, and (6) commitment to the process.

The Location Allocation Problem
There are three different variations of the location allocation problem being discussed in the articles.
The LAP can be seen below. Figure 1. Image of the Location Allocation Problem from [2], where
EF stands for existing facilities and NF stands new facilities. The first variation, global location
allocation problems, are what most large or cooperate businesses are dealing with today. Most
businesses that are looking to open new facilities are looking to either expand international or
expand domestically, but both require a global aspect. By combining AHP and GP, Badri created an
efficient manner in which to solve the added constraints of making the location allocation problem
global. The analytical hierarchy process was created by Saaty to add constraints into the LAP so that
it is a global problem. Since the global scale required additional regulations such as; political
situations, global competition, government regulations, and economic factors are added. This
hierarchy is created to be able to give a swift answer in a political environment where time is of the
essence. The first thing that must be established in the hierarchy is the goal, then the criteria, and
lastly the alternative locations. This problem requires the decision makers to apply weights to certain
goals and locations. The decision maker(s) have to place a weight or priority on each of the
alternatives the criteria creates. The weighing is given by equation 1 below. w_i^location=

The Ministry Of National Defense
The Ministry of National Defense in Seoul, South Korea operates a worldwide supply system, with
the vast majority of the items being managed by the Korean Defense Logistics Agency (KDLA).
The KDLA is a logistics combat support organization whose mission is to provide the best value
logistics and contract management support to America 's Armed Forces around the world during
both times of peace and times of war. The KDLA had the third largest storage capacity of the top 15
distribution warehouses and was a leader in MND 's efforts to supply the military services. It
supported humanitarian relief efforts at home and abroad and provided logistics support to other
federal agencies. KDLA transformed its business approach in order to modernize their supply chain
processes and systems. This newly implemented process included order fulfillment, supply and
demand planning, material management, procurement and financial management process. However,
the agency didn 't simply approach this change by using big data set analytics to develop a logistics
supply chain applications to grow or compete with private entities or other federal agencies. Instead
they continued to develop their service offerings in reaction to the needs driven by the customers.
The KDLA introduced its first complete Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution through the

business model to such a degree, that their strategies can be built around it. This is what sets
Amazon apart from other companies and this is what helps make them a top online retailer. Amazon
has continuously been innovating and building their analytical capabilities to stay on top of the
market. The company was built from scratch through analytics, data collection and experimentation.
Amazon has successfully stayed on the leading edge and has remained an analytical competitor for
many years. Few ways, one can see the company's growth is through the limited tests it has
performed of new features on Amazon.com. The company rigorously quantifies user reaction before
rolling the features out to the market. Amazon also uses extensive analytics to help predict what
products will be successful in the future. Through the statistical and quantitative analysis approach,
the company recommends products to its customers based on their previous buying experience.

Enterprise Data Analysis and Visualization: An Interview Study ABSTRACT Organizations rely on
data analysts to model customer engagement, streamline operations, improve production, inform
business decisions, and combat fraud. Numerous analysis and visualization advanced tools available
for analysts to work, but there are little research goes on how analysis happens in companies. To
better understand the enterprise analysts' ecosystem, we conducted semi structured interviews with
35 data analysts from 25 organizations. Based on our interview data, we characterize the process of
industrial data analysis and document how organizational features of an enterprise impact it. We
describe recurring pain points, outstanding challenges, and barriers to adoption for visual analytic
tools. INTRODUCTION: The researchers conducted semi–structured interviews with 35 analysts
from various sectors. They asked analysts to walk them through the typical tasks they perform, the
tools analysts use, the challenges they encounter, and the organizational context in which analysis
takes place. In this paper, we present the results and analysis of these interviews. The respondents
are well–described by three archetypes. We find that these archetypes vary widely in programming
proficiency, reliance on Information technology (IT) staff and diversity of tasks, and vary less in
statistical proficiency. We describe how collaboration takes place between analysts. We find that

Analytic Hierarchy Process and Analytic Network Process

The Analytic Network Process is a generalization of the Analytic Hierarchy Process. The ANP
approach can be comprises in to four steps [87]:
Step 1: Model construction and problem structuring: The problem should be stated clearly and

Step 2: Pairwise comparisons and priority vectors: In ANP, like AHP, pairs of decision elements at
each cluster are compared with respect to their importance towards their control criteria.
Furthermore, interdependencies among criteria of a cluster must also be treated pairwise; thus the
influence of each element on other elements can be represented by an eigenvector. The relative
importance values are determined with Saaty's nine scales.
Step 3: Supermatrix structure: the Supermatrix concept is similar to the Markov chain process. To

Since 1980s, some Turkish domestic firms especially located in the cities such as 181 Denizli,
Bursa, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri in the home textile industry have found ways of
connecting themselves to the global webs of manufacturing, distribution, and retailing of garments.
Tokatli (2) stated two related developments that have occurred during the process. First, a number of
manufacturing firms have acquired enough capability to develop and exercise their own strategies,
have upgraded their operations, and, as original brandname manufacturers, have evolved into global
competitors. Second, some large domestic manufacturers, which are the logistic partners of the
global retailers, have also experienced a cautious and gradual transformation from industrial capital
to commercial and financial capital. Overall, these aspects of textile industry, to be the selected one

both manufacturers and retailers. This paper aims to find a practical answer to this question for

The Decision Making With Multiple Criteria
The decision making with multiple criteria (MCDM) has been successfully used in complex
business problems. There are several methods for MCDM, such as Analytic Hierarchy process
(AHP), Potentially All Pairwise Rankings of All Possible Alternatives (PAPRIKA), Weighted Sum
Mode (WSM), Analytic network process (ANP), Multi–Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) and so
forth. In this article, the ANP will be compared with AHP. The reason for choosing this two method
is because they are commonly used in the current decision–making software, such as "Decision
Lens™1", "Supper decisions™", "Expert Choice™2", "Logical Decisions". This makes me
curiously to known they unique features, scope of application, pros and cons. The ANP is a more
general form of the AHP. In the view point of the concept, these two share some common features,
comparing with other MCDM methods. The most significant different between the ANP and AHP is
the concept of the hierarchy vs. the network3. In the AHP4, each element in the hierarchy is
considered to be independent of all the others. The decision criteria are considered to be independent
of one another. AHP improve this consideration making it more relevant to the real world situation.
The relationship between various criteria (items, alternatives) are considered to be dependent, and

The Forces Driving An Organization
What are the forces driving an organization to shift to analytics and be known as an analytical
competitor? Analytics is when a particular organization uses large amount of data, predictive
modeling, fact–based management, statistical analysis, quantitative analysis, and explanatory
reasons in order to drive their business decisions and actions successfully (Harris 12). When an
organization is trying to be analytically competitive, they are using analytics systematically and
extensively to think outside the box to perform an execution to compete against other businesses.
Today, organizations want more use of their talent and experience. To help them, analytics is used to

Within the company they have implemented factors such as data, enterprise, leadership, targets, and
analytics (DELTA). Through these factors, the company is able to analyze and restructure their
business model to such a degree, that their strategies can be built around it.
From the start, Jeff Bezos has envisioned Amazon.com as an analytically managed company. Bezos
wants to squeeze every bit of efficiency out of its supply chain. The concept of personalization was

all risks uniquely. The risks that can cause the biggest losses, should have the biggest importance

criteria. For finding each criterion's importance weight (i.e. WC ) and each risk's importance weight
(i.e. WR), medical experts should compare each risk to all other risks and also each criterion to all
other criteria using ANP method. The reason of using ANP technique in this framework is that, ANP
enables us to consider all possible interrelationships among these criteria and risks. For further
information on ANP approach please refer to Saaty et al. (Saaty & Özdemir, 2005). Now each of k
risk and n criterion have weights, which indicates risk's/criterion's importance in comparison to

Quantifying Information Technology Value
Quantifying IT Value Introduction The rapid evolution of enterprise IT systems in general and
analytics specifically is based on the myriad of information needs companies have. The Chief
Information Officer (CIO) must increasingly be just as much of a strategist as a technologist. This is
increasingly evident in how CIOS are expected to not only cost–reduce IT systems but also enable
greater agility in information technologies to drive top–line revenue growth (Trkman, McCormack,
de Oliveira, Ladeira, 2010). There are many analytics and reporting frameworks available for
tracking the contribution of each area of a company's value chain. One of the most prevalent is the
role of Dr. Michael Porter's value chain in defining how the functional areas of a business over time
need to be coordinated to deliver profitability (Porter, 1986). For many companies, analytics is the
glue or catalyst that unifies all aspects of the value chain together, ensuring the smooth operation of
an enterprise. With the value chain framework in mind, the intent of this analysis is to evaluate the
most critical key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics of performance to measure the
effectiveness and efficiency of IT strategies throughout an organization. The aggregate–based effect
of using these KPIs and measures of performance is to create a foundation for measuring economic
value of IT to the enterprise over the long–term. This aspect of measuring the value of information
technological is

A Major Reason For Performance Improvement Program Essay
A major reason for performance improvement project failures is the misinterpretation of an ongoing
performance program. Prioritizing performance efforts would help an organization achieve early
quality improvement goals and maintain adequate momentum for future QI initiatives. An
organization should follow six step approach model for implementing and monitoring a quality
improvement program. First step of a six step quality improvement program model should line up
improvement initiatives with the facility's quality improvement program strategic objectives. Health
care component relationship interaction is simultaneously affected and changed by the health care
organization's operational process systems. Due to the simultaneous change and impact of process
components, it is very important for any ongoing performance improvement model to lineup parallel
to the health care organizations strategic objectives. A health care facility's objectives can take many
forms and priorities. Federal or state accreditation and or developing a new medical wing or process
are examples of an organization's strategic objectives. In order for a quality improvement initiative
to be successful, the QI initiative must lineup with the facilities strategic initiatives to obtain some
form of accreditation or develop a new specialty department or health care process. Step two of
developing an effective and successful performance improvement model, is to use an analytical
approach to gathering,

Data Analytics
In social media every user actively produces data, either by Googling, by sharing tweets, comments,
profiles, favorites, likes or follows, or by uploading or downloading blogs, photos, videos or such
other content. The amount of information that gets into the Internet is unimaginable large and
predicted to double every 18 months. Every single action on the social media produces added value,
which can be aggregated and capitalized in commercial advertising and market analysis. This is how
companies such as Google and Facebook have been able to become multibillion–dollar businesses.
"Facebook ingests approximately 500 times more data each day than the New York Stock Exchange
(NYSE). Twitter is storing at least 12 times more data each day than the NYSE" according to
BusinessInsider.com research. (Ref 3)

Types Of Sap Hana Models
1 Types of SAP HANA Models
This chapter provides an overview of the different models that can be created in SAP HANA. For
each model type, the chapter defines the model in question, outlines the criteria for choosing it, and
explains its benefits.
1.1 SAP HANA Database Engine Architecture
SAP HANA is an in–memory technology platform that is deployable as an appliance or in the cloud.
Its core is the SAP HANA database, which is built for high performance applications. It makes full
use of the main memory and processing power provided by modern hardware. As relevant data is
kept in main memory, read operations can run in main memory. SAP HANA is also designed to
make full use of multi–core CPUs by parallelization of execution. Research ... Show more content

Application–specific services provided by the XS server are either created declaratively or by
writing server side application code. The XS server also hosts several system services, for example
for data replication, and for analytical queries and search queries over HTTP. Several web–based
tools included with SAP HANA are also running on XS, for example for development, system
administration, and life cycle management.
The name server owns the information about the topology of a SAP HANA system. In a distributed
system, the name server knows where the components are running and which data is located on
which server.
The SAP HANA studio is both development environment and administration tool. Administrators
can use the SAP HANA studio for example to start and stop servers, to monitor the system, to
configure system settings and to manage users and authorizations. As shown in figure 4, the SAP
HANA connects to the SAP HANA servers via SQL. Developers can use the SAP HANA studio to
create content such as data models, modeled views or procedures. These development artifacts are
stored in the SAP HANA repository. The SAP HANA studio is based on the Eclipse platform.
In addition to SAP HANA studio, there are also web–based tools for administration and
development. The server side parts of these tools are system applications that run in the XS server.
Web–based development tools can be used to perform most development tasks in a browser. Web–

Solving Multi Criteria Decision Making Problems
There are several methods to solve multi–criteria decision–making problems. Analytic Hierarchy
Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) are two methods created by Tomas Saaty. AHP
endeavor to solve the decision making problem by formed it in a hierarchy while ANP is used when
the problem is so complex that cannot be formed as a hierarchy. This complexity happens because of
the effect of criteria between each other or the effect of alternatives on criteria. Generally we can say
The Analytic Network Process is a generalization of the Analytic Hierarchy Process. The ANP
approach can be comprises in to four steps [87]:
Step 1: Model construction and problem structuring: The problem should be stated clearly and
decomposed into a rational system like a network
Step 2: Pairwise comparisons and priority vectors: In ANP, like AHP, pairs of decision elements at
each cluster are compared with respect to their importance towards their control criteria.
Furthermore, interdependencies among criteria of a cluster must also be treated pairwise; thus the
influence of each element on other elements can be represented by an eigenvector. The relative
importance values are determined with Saaty's nine scales.
Step 3: Supermatrix structure: the Supermatrix concept is similar to the Markov chain process. To
obtain global priorities in a system with interdependent influences, the local priority vectors are
entered in the appropriate columns of a matrix. As a result, a supermatrix is

Two Different Organizational Structures
1.2 At least two different Organisational structures are identified, described, and compared in terms
of their design principles. Answer: 1. Organisational structure is a system used to define a hierarchy
within an Organisation. It identifies each job and its function and where it reports to within the
Organisation. This structure is developed to establish how an Organisation operates and assists an
Organisation in obtaining its goals to allow for future growth. Organisational structure is particularly
important for decision making. It is also important that responsibilities are clearly defined. Each
person has a job description that outlines duties, and each job occupies its own position on the
company Organisation chart. 2. There are two different types of Organisational structure:
Centralization and Decentralization structures Centralization: Centralized Organisational structures
rely on one individual to make decisions and provide direction for the company. Small Businesses
often use this structure since the owner is responsible for the company's business operations.
Decentralization: Decentralized Organisational structures often have several individuals responsible
for making business decisions and running the business. Decentralized Organisations rely on a team
environment at different levels in the business. Individuals at each level in the business may have
some autonomy to make business decisions 3. Centralization Decentralization In this manager have

1912 Nude Descending A Staircase By Georges Braque
In the early twentieth century Post–Impressionism was the avant–garde art movement in the world,
with its central city Paris, France. Artists from different religious backgrounds, cultures, and societal
hierarchies migrated to Paris to take their art in new directions. France was a city of tolerance during
both Pre and Post WWI; therefore, it was a beacon for those who wanted to convey their emotions
and ideas visually. Paul Cezanne, Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Marcel Duchamp, Henri Matisse,
Marc Chagall, Amedeo Modigliani, Chaim Soutine, and Robert Delaunay came to Paris and sought

Thus, a mobile station able to operate on several technologies should roam freely from one interface
to another, being able to maintain its network connection and the QoS required by higher layer
applications. The vertical handover is a very important capability in the future wireless
communication era, where an integrated network grouping multiple technologies will try to offer a
global broadband access to mobile users. However, compared to the horizontal handover, the signal
strength metric is sometimes not suited and often not sufficient to appropriately trigger the vertical
handover: as heterogeneous networks have different system characteristics, their performance
cannot be simply compared using the signal strength of two cells [12]. At a particular position, there
may be more than one network (WLAN, WCDMA and Wi–Max) available. On the other hand it
may happen that the desired network, through which the vehicle is communicating currently, is not
available at a particular area. Thus it is required to change the network immediately to ensure QoS.
Vertical handoff enables seamless terminal, personal and network mobility. It provides for continuity
and transfer of existing sessions. Vertical handoff can be separated into three phases: network
discovery, handoff decision, and handoff execution [8]. This paper aims at defining an efficient
user–driven vertical handover mechanism which does not require any change on network and

An Effective Method For Integrating Enterprise Applications
Abstract
Today there is a new data management challenge that is an effective method for integrating
enterprise applications. To learn from history and predict the future, plenty of companies are using
Business Intelligence (BI) systems. Corporations have understood the significance of intensifying
achievements of the objectives defined by their business strategies through business intelligence
ideas.
Business Intelligence is gaining popularity in many organizations and companies. Business

A Research Study On Prioritization Methods

  • 1. A Research Study On Prioritization Methods Today many companies struggle to define which request has to be fulfilled first (Aberdeen group, 2012). However, not so many researches about IS enhancements prioritization have been published but there are several approaches to solve this problem. For this research we have used such databases as: IEEE Xplore, Emerald, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect. We want to mention the most commonly used and most interesting methods that can be found in free and paid sources. For our investigation we have also studied materials of consulting and research organizations that shares knowledge and provide their solutions to overcame the challenge such as Gartner, Aberdeen group, Innotas and etc. All major researches on IS projects and CRs prioritization that were studied for our research a listed in table 1. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The control hierarchy, critical for ANP analysis, provides overriding criteria for comparing each type of interaction that is intended by the network representation. There are two types of control criteria [16]. A control criterion may be directly connected to the structure as the goal of a hierarchy if the structure is in fact a hierarchy. In this case the control criterion is called a comparison–''linking'' criterion. Otherwise a control criterion does not connect directly to the structure but ''induces'' comparisons in a network. In this case the control criterion is called a comparison– 'inducing'' criterion. With the scope of this paper, the second control criteria (a comparison–''inducing'' criterion) is chosen according to the relationship between criterias and alternatives. In the application of ANP, software like, Ecnet, Super Decision or mathematical programs like Excel, Maple, Mathematica can be used. Since its introduction, ANP has been getting more widely used in decision making and numerous applications have been published in literature. For example; ANP model is used by Momoh and Zhu [27], for the selection of generating power units for appropriate price allocation in a competitive power industry, Sarkis and Meade [18], for selection of logistics strategy; Buyukyazıcı [19], for finding the most important factor ¨ ¨ ˘ for education based on memorization; Erkiletlioglu [20] for determination of the ... Diploma, Water Resource Department, Indian Institute of Remote Sensing 2Scientist'SC', Indian Institute of Remote Sensing,3Scientist'G', Indian Institute of remote sensing, Dehradun. Abstract: Occurrence of groundwater in the basement complex of Raichur, Karnataka is controlled by secondary porosity developed through weathering and cracking of bed rocks. Raichur is a semi arid region that is characterized by erratic rainfall. Surface water from rivers is inadequate and the only option to supply both human and animal population is groundwater. To avoid the ever common incident of borehole failing to yield water or drying up soon after commissioning, groundwater mapping is paramount. In this study, remote sensing (RS) and Geographical Information System (GIS) techniques have been used to identify and map groundwater potential zones using geomorphology, lithology, lineament density, recharge, depth to groundwater, slope, rainfall and drainage density. These thematic layers were selected for groundwater mapping based on literature and geophysical investigation and data appropriately weighted using AHP. Geomorphology and lineament layers were derived from LISS 4 images. The final groundwater potential zones of the area are characterized into; Very high, high, moderate and low. . • 4. Technology And Its Impact On The Classroom And The... Additionally, Januszewski and Molenda (2008) who suggested the gold–standard definition of educational technology, stated that the focus of EdTech research is now on the "appropriate application of processes and technologies" (p. 2) to enhance learning. Two things can be inferred from this statement: 1) the question is how to use technology, rather than what technology to use; and 2) the focus is to enhance learning. To find answer to this question, EdTech researchers need to look beyond the classroom and the individual learner and pay attention to the ways technology is being used in the real–world settings. They should take into account the "social, political, economic, cultural and historical contexts within which educational technology use (and non–use) is located" (Selwyn, 2010, p. 66). Therefore, instead of assuming inherent benefits in a particular technology – what Smith (1994) called "technological determinism" – and carrying out rigid, predictive experiments to confirm its impact, we need more research exploring the socially shaped nature of technology as it happens in the real, messy contexts (Selwyn, 2010). This is an important shift for the field, because the majority of the studies in the past decades has been on how technologies should be used for learning or what could happen with digital technologies, while the reasons and the ways technologies are actually being used in the wider social contexts have remained under– studied. This is particularly relevant to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Much has been written in the areas of financial analysis, price negotiation, and acquisition errors. These issues include: (1) costs currently not included in the evaluation process, (2) consideration of the threat of litigation, (3) use of technology to attract patients and physicians, (4) adjustment of payment rates from payers, (5) evaluation of the physical layout of the facilities surrounding the new technology, and (6) commitment to the process. ********** ... • 6. The Location Allocation Problem There are three different variations of the location allocation problem being discussed in the articles. The LAP can be seen below. Figure 1. Image of the Location Allocation Problem from [2], where EF stands for existing facilities and NF stands new facilities. The first variation, global location allocation problems, are what most large or cooperate businesses are dealing with today. Most businesses that are looking to open new facilities are looking to either expand international or expand domestically, but both require a global aspect. By combining AHP and GP, Badri created an efficient manner in which to solve the added constraints of making the location allocation problem global. The analytical hierarchy process was created by Saaty to add constraints into the LAP so that it is a global problem. Since the global scale required additional regulations such as; political situations, global competition, government regulations, and economic factors are added. This hierarchy is created to be able to give a swift answer in a political environment where time is of the essence. The first thing that must be established in the hierarchy is the goal, then the criteria, and lastly the alternative locations. This problem requires the decision makers to apply weights to certain goals and locations. The decision maker(s) have to place a weight or priority on each of the alternatives the criteria creates. The Ministry Of National Defense The Ministry of National Defense in Seoul, South Korea operates a worldwide supply system, with the vast majority of the items being managed by the Korean Defense Logistics Agency (KDLA). The KDLA is a logistics combat support organization whose mission is to provide the best value logistics and contract management support to America 's Armed Forces around the world during both times of peace and times of war. The KDLA had the third largest storage capacity of the top 15 distribution warehouses and was a leader in MND 's efforts to supply the military services. It supported humanitarian relief efforts at home and abroad and provided logistics support to other federal agencies. KDLA transformed its business approach in order to modernize their supply chain processes and systems. This newly implemented process included order fulfillment, supply and demand planning, material management, procurement and financial management process. However, the agency didn 't simply approach this change by using big data set analytics to develop a logistics supply chain applications to grow or compete with private entities or other federal agencies. Instead they continued to develop their service offerings in reaction to the needs driven by the customers. • 11. Enterprise Data Analysis And Visualization Enterprise Data Analysis and Visualization: An Interview Study ABSTRACT Organizations rely on data analysts to model customer engagement, streamline operations, improve production, inform business decisions, and combat fraud. Numerous analysis and visualization advanced tools available for analysts to work, but there are little research goes on how analysis happens in companies. To better understand the enterprise analysts' ecosystem, we conducted semi structured interviews with 35 data analysts from 25 organizations. Based on our interview data, we characterize the process of industrial data analysis and document how organizational features of an enterprise impact it. We describe recurring pain points, outstanding challenges, and barriers to adoption for visual analytic tools. INTRODUCTION: The researchers conducted semi–structured interviews with 35 analysts from various sectors. They asked analysts to walk them through the typical tasks they perform, the tools analysts use, the challenges they encounter, and the organizational context in which analysis takes place. In this paper, we present the results and analysis of these interviews. The respondents are well–described by three archetypes. We find that these archetypes vary widely in programming proficiency, reliance on Information technology (IT) staff and diversity of tasks, and vary less in statistical proficiency. We describe how collaboration takes place between analysts. We find that analysts seldom share ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In this article, the ANP will be compared with AHP. The decision criteria are considered to be independent of one another. AHP improve this consideration making it more relevant to the real world situation. Quantifying Information Technology Value Quantifying IT Value Introduction The rapid evolution of enterprise IT systems in general and analytics specifically is based on the myriad of information needs companies have. The Chief Information Officer (CIO) must increasingly be just as much of a strategist as a technologist. This is increasingly evident in how CIOS are expected to not only cost–reduce IT systems but also enable greater agility in information technologies to drive top–line revenue growth (Trkman, McCormack, de Oliveira, Ladeira, 2010). There are many analytics and reporting frameworks available for tracking the contribution of each area of a company's value chain. One of the most prevalent is the role of Dr. Michael Porter's value chain in defining how the functional areas of a business over time need to be coordinated to deliver profitability (Porter, 1986). For many companies, analytics is the glue or catalyst that unifies all aspects of the value chain together, ensuring the smooth operation of an enterprise. With the value chain framework in mind, the intent of this analysis is to evaluate the most critical key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics of performance to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of IT strategies throughout an organization. The relative importance values are determined with Saaty's nine scales. Step 3: Supermatrix structure: the Supermatrix concept is similar to the Markov chain process. To obtain global priorities in a system with interdependent influences, the local priority vectors are entered in the appropriate columns of a matrix. As a result, a supermatrix is ... • 34. Two Different Organizational Structures 1.2 At least two different Organisational structures are identified, described, and compared in terms of their design principles. Answer: 1. Organisational structure is a system used to define a hierarchy within an Organisation. It identifies each job and its function and where it reports to within the Organisation. This structure is developed to establish how an Organisation operates and assists an Organisation in obtaining its goals to allow for future growth. Organisational structure is particularly important for decision making. It is also important that responsibilities are clearly defined. Each person has a job description that outlines duties, and each job occupies its own position on the company Organisation chart. 2. There are two different types of Organisational structure: Centralization and Decentralization structures Centralization: Centralized Organisational structures rely on one individual to make decisions and provide direction for the company. Small Businesses often use this structure since the owner is responsible for the company's business operations. Decentralization: Decentralized Organisational structures often have several individuals responsible for making business decisions and running the business. Decentralized Organisations rely on a team environment at different levels in the business. Individuals at each level in the business may have some autonomy to make business decisions 3. Artists from different religious backgrounds, cultures, and societal hierarchies migrated to Paris to take their art in new directions. France was a city of tolerance during both Pre and Post WWI; therefore, it was a beacon for those who wanted to convey their emotions and ideas visually. Paul Cezanne, Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Marcel Duchamp, Henri Matisse, Marc Chagall, Amedeo Modigliani, Chaim Soutine, and Robert Delaunay came to Paris and sought to create art with a personal aesthetic and to capture the essence of the modern era. In Picasso's 1910 Portrait of Art Dealer Ambroise Vollard, he really pushed the boundaries of abstract painting in this analytic cubist composition. Analytic cubism is in which the object is broken down and dissolves into underlying geometric figures. Therefore, to examine the Portrait of Art Dealer Ambroise Vollard, the viewer cannot stand too close because all of what will be seen is geometric facets. However, if the viewer steps backwards, then they will see that Ambroise Vollard is in the center of the composition. He has dissolved into the background, yet the details of his face are evident with his balding head, closed eyes, beard, and mustache. Picasso used monochrome colors of browns and gray tones throughout this painting, which was indispensable to the underlying geometric elements of the Ambroise Vollard's form and the background merged into each other (Soltes, L38, ... In This Paper, We Discuss How To Select The Best Network In this paper, we discuss how to select the best network from the available radio networks in case of vehicular communication, for a particular voice application. Selection of network is done by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy–Topsis method. Our main aim of this work is to reduce the chances of collision through Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). The number of vehicles is increasing rapidly these days that causes the chances of collision because of limited number of path. A significant challenge for beyond third generation (B3G) wireless networks is to coordinate the many different types of networks being used for wireless communications. Thus, a mobile station able to operate on several technologies should roam freely from one interface to another, being able to maintain its network connection and the QoS required by higher layer applications. The vertical handover is a very important capability in the future wireless communication era, where an integrated network grouping multiple technologies will try to offer a global broadband access to mobile users. However, compared to the horizontal handover, the signal strength metric is sometimes not suited and often not sufficient to appropriately trigger the vertical handover: as heterogeneous networks have different system characteristics, their performance cannot be simply compared using the signal strength of two cells [12]. At a particular position, there may be more than one network (WLAN, WCDMA and Wi–Max) available. On the other hand it may happen that the desired network, through which the vehicle is communicating currently, is not available at a particular area. Thus it is required to change the network immediately to ensure QoS. Vertical handoff enables seamless terminal, personal and network mobility. It provides for continuity and transfer of existing sessions. Vertical handoff can be separated into three phases: network discovery, handoff decision, and handoff execution [8]. This paper aims at defining an efficient user–driven vertical handover mechanism which does not require any change on network and Protocol ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
