4. The first
scene
• The first shot in the title sequence is the director of the
film. MortenTyldum is also famous for directing Head
Hunt, FallenAngels and Buddy.
• The background is sticking with the theme of the film,
incorporating space and darkness.
• The space and darkness relate to the theme of isolation
in the film that is shared between both the characters.
5. Cast and
crew
• After the Directors name has appeared the credit
sequence then goes on to name the actors and the
crew.
• Jennifer Lawrence is a well known actress along with
Chris Pratt who is the lead actor. They have large fan
bases and have appeared in films likeThe Huger
Games, Jurassic Park, Mother and other well known
blockbuster.
6. Title of the
film
• The title of the film is the last thing to appear in the
film.
• It all links in with the space theme of the film and the
themes of isolation and darkness.
• This shot then fades to black there is no extra scene at
the end of the sequence like many other films so not
many people will wait till the end of the credits to
watch all the actors, crew members and special thanks.
• What I've learnt from this title sequence is that it
doesn’t need to be exaggerative or stand out to make a
point. Passengers uses simplicity to draw attention to
the space picture and the name of the person who is on
the screen.
