2. What is a
radio
trailer?
• A radio trailer is an advertisement for a new film due to
be released at the cinema.
• They are 20- 25 seconds long and consists of dialogue
from the film.
• Radio trailers tell listeners key information about the
film for example; Certificate, release date, genre,
added sound track and possibly the films slogan .
• The trailer will be done in a voiceover and will feature
on radio stations like Heart or Capital, but not on
stations such as Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2 as neither of
them have adverts between content.
3. Examples of
radio
trailers.
It was hard to find example of these. However I have
found 4 radio trailers that are good examples. They
include;
• Pacific Rim
• The Great Gatsby
• The conjuring
• Gravity
Each are about 25 seconds long and have the certificate in
and feature audio snippets from the film. It tells the
audience what to expect from the film and also gives
reviews from critics.
