Prop Why have I chosen this? Other Information
Laptop / Ipad The artist will use the laptop
when she is watching beauty
tutorialsonline. This is to show
that she wantsto be something
she isn’t. The Ipadis usedwhen
she is scrolling through
instagram at models.
Make-up Make-up is used at the start of
the music video when she isn’t
very confident and is trying to
cover herself up. A little make-
up is used at the end when she
finally gains confidence and
getting to ready to perform.
Costumes/prom dresses The prom dresses are hanging
up inher wardrobe as the artist
looks at them but doesn’t have
the confidence to wear a dress
yet. At the end of the video,
you see the artist wearing it
which shows she has changed.
Mirrors The artist looks in the mirror at
herself and when she is trying
on dresses – shows she isn’t
happy with how she is and is
depressed.
Good luck cards / letters in the
post
The good luck card is sent from
her friends wishing her good
luck in the performance, which
again, shows that they are by
herside.The letters in the post
at the start of the music video
reveal to the audience that she
isperforminglive at the proms.
Food Foodis usedwhenshe ishaving
dinnerbut can’t eat it and ends
up being sick. This shows that
she thinks she’s fat and again
links to how she isn’t happy.
When her friends come round
her house they bring her
sweets round to cheer her up.
This portrays how she has her
friends supporting her.
‘Pills’ These again,are anotherway of

Magazines The magazines are used to
showthat the artist wantsto be
a model and the pressure it
puts on teens.
Bedroom The artist spends most of her
time in her bedroom as that is
where she isolates herself and
is left alone. This shows that
she is depressed.
School / music room I chose these locations to show
how she is behaving at school
and how what she does at
home affects her school life.
The music room is used when
she is rehearing. The music
room will also act as a back
stage.
Dance studio The dance studio is used as a
‘stage’ for when the artist
finallygainsthe confidence and
walks on to perform.
Swimming baths / Gym I will show herdoingexercise at
these specificlocations toshow
her trying to better herself and
lose weight.
