Describe the transition of construction safety before and after the enactment of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. Describe the two different ways of handling carries when generating the datasum for a checksum. Solution check sum is one of the eeror detection techniques for transmission of data across networks As device transmits data it takes sum of all data elements it is transmitting to create an aggregate sum called "DATA SUM" the two different ways of handling carries generated by this addition are 1) discard all carries 2) add the carries back to datasum the transmitting device then sends a form of this data sum appended to the end of the block. This new form of data sum is called CHECK SUM.

  • 1. Describe the two different ways of handling carries when generating the datasum for a checksum. Solution check sum is one of the eeror detection techniques for transmission of data across networks As device transmits data it takes sum of all data elements it is transmitting to create an aggregate sum called "DATA SUM" the two different ways of handling carries generated by this addition are 1) discard all carries 2) add the carries back to datasum the transmitting device then sends a form of this data sum appended to the end of the block. This new form of data sum is called CHECK SUM.
