Carley wants to find out
where she belongs and if
she does belong
somewhere.

3. The picture of the chicks shows how Carley This is one thing that I would think that Carley
wants to belong with the family. The Murphys would be thinking when she is at the Murphy’s.
are the brown chicks and the golden chick is
Carley. She wants so badly to fit in and yet she
is wondering if she belongs somewhere else.

5. Ceren’s Reflection:
This theme relates to the world. Everyone
met with bad moments and hard challenges
in their life for a good future. Carley wanted
to start a new life and a new family just like
anyone else. Because she was away from
her mother and father. She wants to be part
of the Murphys in the book.

6. Begum’s Reflection:
Firstly Carley wants to be a part of the
Murphys.She tried to do her best because
she wants to have a new family and new
life for many reasons. She need to solve
the problem to talk with Mrs.Murphy and
her mother.

7. Emily’s Reflection:
This theme relates to the world because
some people want to belong in a different
place than where they are. Whether it is in
school with the popular kids or a sport with a
better team. Carley just wants to be part of
the Murphy family and throughout the book
her opinion of their family is displayed.
