audiences and how would it be distributed
with real media text?
3. MAGAZINE DISTRIBUTION.
The distributors which distributes the
magazines are the type of the company which
tells a lot about the product that it is. It states
that how much audience is important to bring
profits to the company and the magazine. There
are two types of magazine distributors.
5. Major Distributors.
Major distributors aim to promote there
magazine in home and overseas. Major
distributors promote the market by magazines
in retail shops. There magazine prices are low
and they invest in models for the covers, which
attracts the larger audience and by that there
magazines are being sold. From this they make
more money. The main distributors in Pakistan
are DAWN, JANG, EXPRESS NEWS, ETC…
6. Independent Distributor.
Independent distributors have different ways
and strategies to introduce and promote the
product in market. Independent distributors are
small as compared to Major distributors. They
focus to promote magazine in Urban areas and
especially in shops and retail market, as they
have a small scale circle to promote magazine
in markets. There are Independent distributors
in Pakistan as well such as Times & Media
Blinks.
7. Any Institution that might Distribute
my Music Magazine and why
The genre of my music magazine is POP and the target
audience of it is mainly, Teenagers and young adults. I thing
that Teen Times Magazine would be a better option which
would market the magazine in Pakistan. My magazine genre
would be easily market. The main method of attracting
audiences is to advertise my magazine on the Internet
through websites such as blogs, Facebook and Twitter. I will
attract audiences by having big name artist/bands. I will
have the magazine available to download onto a
computer/iPad/iPhone which will benefit those who
don’t want to purchase or cannot find the actual
magazine.

In marketing and advertising, a
target audience is a specific group
of people within the target market
at which a product or the marketing
message of a product is aimed at.
The target audience of my magazine
are teenagers and young adults.
10. Introduction.
My magazine is primarily targeted at
teenagers and young adults, mainly
because of it “pop” genre. This is the
reason that the codes and conventions
that I have used on the front cover of my
music magazine are different then that of
any other music magazine. Now I will tell
you how I attract the target audience.

The target audience of my music
magazine are teenagers and young
adults. The reason behind is that the
genre is “POP” which is favorite to
the youngsters, as compared to
mature people/adults. Secondly, I
think that my genre “POP” could
easily relate to teenagers.

According to my research on “POP”
magazine, I came to know that “POP
” is listened and followed by mostly
teenagers and young's. As they have
special interest in following music
magazine. However, my magazine is
very appealing towards the younger
audience.

The younger audience is compelled by
my magazine because of the color
scheme used in cover, content and
double spread page. The social group
for target audience is for grown ups, It’s
not for child's. The price of my magazine
is reasonable which attracts the price
conscious person to buy it, and so
people could buy maximum magazine.

15. Main Image.
The main image of my magazine is the main
attention grabber and one of the most
important convention of a music magazine
that addresses my target audience. The
main reason is that the models on the cover
page fall under the same category as the
target audience for my magazine, and that
the “style” of the models is very modern, so
naturally the target audience is compelled to
buy the magazine.
16. Masthead.
The masthead is in center and the font of the
masthead is bigger compared to other written
matter on the cover page to make it more
visible. The most important thing is the color of
the masthead, Orange. Orange is a very
attractive color, which is why I have used it for
the masthead to attract and address a larger
audience such as teenagers and young adults.
The masthead of the cover page goes behind
the main image, showing sign of steadiness.
