2. SUMMARY
• Resolution to approve a lease
agreement with VIA Metropolitan Transit
for the historic trolley stop at 4900
Broadway and Patterson Avenue.

BACKGROUND
• Lease agreement is a one-year lease
• Automatically renews each year with
successive one-year terms.
• Lease may be terminated by either City or
VIA with a 90-day written notice.
• City will be eligible for $40,000 reimbursement for
the restoration cost of the historic trolley stop.

• City received approval from Texas
Historical Commission for restoration of the
historic trolley stop
• Council approved restoration of historic
trolley stop.
• Completed November 2016 at a cost of
$ 47,237.

• The City enters into agreements with other
entities that help to operate and improve
the public facilities.

FISCAL IMPACT
• City of Alamo Heights will receive
$40,000 upon execution of the lease
agreement
