It is an ideal recreational center designed to meet the needs of all childhood stages right from the infancy stage, toddler stage, early childhood stage, middle or late childhood stage and the adolescent stage. The recreational center offers activities which are aimed at developing the cognitive, physical and psychosocial needs of the children. I therefore request for your consideration in giving me the opportunity to offer recreational facilities for children in the growth stages listed above. The main goal for each of the activities included in the proposal is to ensure that the cognitive, psychosocial and physical needs of the children in the infancy, toddler, early childhood, middle and adolescent stages are addressed. ROOM #1 – Infant Room Infancy is the age between the time a child is born and one year (Bastable, 2007). This activity will be aimed at enhancing the cognitive and psychosocial needs of the child. The first scheduled activity involves watching movies with a lot of animation. The use of this activity would be important as it will enhance language skills of the child, as it has been shown that they develop in a very high rate at this stage (Bastable, 2007). The activity enhances the cognitive and psychosocial needs of the child by teaching them how to talk and listen. It is important for parents not to be highly anxious if their child falls sick at this stage as this would result to the infant being anxious as well the use of this activity would be important as it will enhance language skills of the child (Bastable, 2007).
