Tennis originated in France in the late 18th century where players would hit balls with their hands on grass courts. It later spread to English-speaking countries among the upper classes. A tennis match consists of points that make up games, with the first player to win 6 games winning the set. A match is made up of multiple sets, with the first player to win a certain number of sets being declared the overall winner. The tennis court is a rectangular space defined by specific length and width measurements that vary depending on singles or doubles play.
2. The first references of the tennis take place in France,
named " Jeu of paume " provided that initially it was
striking its ball with the hand. Later they started using
rackets. One was playing the original tennis in tracks of
natural grass.
It originated in Europe at the end of the 18th century and
expanded in a beginning to the countries English-speakers,
specially between his high classes.

4. A tennis match begins with extract of one of the players, who must
strike the ball in such a way that rebound inside the diagonal picture
to that of the side of the one that it extracts; it is to say, the player
always must serve (extract) of crossed form. For every point the
player who extracts has two opportunities; if it trumps the first one,
it has another, at least that to the first attempt the ball touches the
mesh and then it falls down in the square that he touches, which is
known generally as net (network in English), in this case the player
repeats this extract. After extract both players will have to spend
alternative the ball of a field to other one in search of which his rival
could not return it before it bounces two times; if it happens this will
obtain a point. Gaining 4 points a game is obtained, and gaining 6
games it is obtained a set.
5. One plays the tennis in a rectangular track. His exact measures
are defined in units of the Anglo-Saxon system and change
depending on the modality in which there are played (individuals
or doubles). For individuals it measures 90 feet (35,78 meters) of
length and 27 feet (8,23 meters) of width. For doubles, the
length is the same and the width is 36 feet (10,97 meters). These
limits are marked by lines, which are considered to be a part of
the track. A mesh with form of network divides the track in two
halves that correspond to the opponents. The height of the
network in the posts is 3 feet 6 inches (1,06 meters), and in the
center of 3 feet (0,914 meters). Of every side of the network
there are two rectangles, which measure 21 feet (6,40 meters) of
length and 13,5 feet (4,11 meters) of width, which serve only to
determine if one extracts are valid or not.

7. A tennis match is composed for partial (sets in English). The first
one in gaining a certain number of partial is the winner. Every
partial one is integrated by games. In every game there is a
player who extracts, which is alternated. In turn, the games are
composed of points. The player who takes the partial one to
himself is the one that manages to do 6 games, with a difference
of two. In case a player comes to 6 games, but with difference of
1 (6-5) it will be necessary to continue until someone should
obtain the appropriate difference. If the regulation of the tilt
establishes a ceiling game, there will be necessary to play a
special game called tie-break or " sudden death ", in that the
result is decided by means of correlative points.
