Tennis is a sport usually played between two players (singles) or between two teams of two players
each (doubles). Each player uses a racket that is strung to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with
felt past a net into the opponent's court.
Tennis is one of the most popular sports on the world. You can play no matter how old are you.

History of tennis
Tennis originated from a 12th century French game called paume (meaning palm); it was a
court game where the ball was struck with the hand. Paume evolved into jeu de paume and
rackets were used. The game spread and evolved in Europe. In 1873, Major Walter Wingfield
invented a game called Sphairistikè (Greek for "playing ball) from which modern outdoor
tennis evolved.
Games of racket and ball (including real tennis in Great Britain, royal tennis in Australia, and
court tennis in the United States, all of which are the same game and played indoors)
originated from a 12th and 13th century French handball game called jeu de paume (game of
the palm). In 1873, Major Walter Wingfield invented a game called sphairistikè, from which
modern outdoor tennis evolved.

The rules of tennis are quite simple. The game itself is complex. "

A game of tennis is played with the aim of scoring points by striking the ball in a way that an
opponent can not successfully return it. Tennis can be played indoor or outdoor, on a rectangular
court by two persons (known as singles) or by four persons (doubles). Tennis courts are about
seventy-eight feet long and are twenty-seven feet wide for single play, or thirty-six feet wide for
double play. Service courts are those spaces on the either side of the net. The service court on the
player's right is known as the deuce court, while the service court on the left is known as the
advantage court, or ad court for short. A tennis game is commenced with the server from one team
tossing the ball into the air and hitting it with a racquet. The goal is to send the ball in a diagonal
direction so that it lands in the receiver's deuce court. When the first point of the game is made,
players move to the left and continue play from the advantage court. They then continue to alternate
between courts after each point is made until the game has been won.

If you want to play tennis you should have a primary equipment :
rocket and ball of course. You should have shose with wide and flat sole.
There are 8 basic moves: service, forehand, backhand, volley, half-volley, smecz, short and lob.
Names reflections refer to the time when they are executed (in the case of service) or how they are
implemented.
