1. OPTIC ATROPHY

17. SIGNS & SYMPTOMS:
• Painless loss of vision- but, h/o past episodes of headache with
vomiting can be present
• Pupillary reflex:
RAPD
Absent direct light reflex
Semi-dilated pupil
• Loss of visual field- Peripheral, Central or eccentric
• Ophthalmoscopic features- diagnostic

18. Ophthalmoscopic features:
• Pallor of optic disc
• Decreased number of small
vessels on disc surface
