5. What is it ?
• OD-LITES provide uninterrupted entertainment on the go.
• For travelers who are on LCC, trains and buses, entertainment is limited to
watching outside window of the carrier or getting engaged with their cell
phone contents or simply fidgeting with the mobile connection in remote
areas or over sea.
• Even if the connection is available and good, the charges and tariff doesn’t
give the luxury to enjoy non stop entertainment sourced from internet.
• OD-LITES takes a step into this gap and provides on demand
entertainment system, which is available for people travelling, from the
point of origin to the point of departure, without the need of an active
internet connection.
• OD-LITES is a lite solution in multi billion dollar “in flight entertainment”
industry.
• OD-LITES gives a new reason for airline carrier to make revenues and
provide value added services.
6. In a Nutshell
• OD – OnDemand , People can choose the content they
wish to consume. From latest news to movies, music,
books and magazines
• L – Light in terms of installation, in terms of cost
efficiency and maintenance for the service providers.
• IT – In Transit meaning is available for the mass who
have least access to Internet, of where internet is not
allowed and areas where connectivity is low.
• ES – Entertainment System, A system which allows the
entertainment content to be easily refreshed, securely
broadcasted without compromising the user
experience.

• Uninterrupted entertainment experience from
boarding till disembarking and even at home.
• Availability of large database of high quality latest
content, at the same time preserving copyrights by
encryption and read only access.
• Multiple playlist availability in the cloud.
• Choice of choosing which playlist to sync with local
cloud server.
• Persistence of online playlist for each account in cloud.
• SaaS model of browsing and consuming content via
Browser or App.

11. How it works- Consumer
• Consumer with screen enabled device will be given a access to the system.
• To consume the content consumer will need an app for personal devices.
• The App will give them access to all the content for consumption basis
only and not for download.
• This way the consumer can experience latest, unlimited, uninterrupted,
high quality, digitally secured content on the go.
• No more worries of downloading the content before you leave on a long
journey. Saving phone memory for other personal items.
• They can still use the app to connect to our central cloud based server
provider if they want to use their own internet connection.
• Best part is the session is retained, so that consumer can start from the
point they left off between different part of journeys.
12. How it works- App
• The App is built for the consumer interface.
• It will enable read only content without having option
to download.
• There will be several version of the app depending
upon the OS available in the market.
• Each App will be equipped with playing
movie, music, picture, web, news.
• Additional feature could be connecting people on the
same service provider for conferencing, multi player
gaming and sharing.

14. How it works- Service Provider
• The Service provider needs to install the a ODLITES
local server box on each aircraft and airport lounges
and waiting areas.
• The content saved in cloud can be synced with local
server automatically or manually for latest updates.
• The server will be capable of handling multiple request
from multiple user at any given point of time.
• The server will pass the session from one server to
another based on the user travel itinerary.
• The session will help to maintain the playlist and
remember the last playing content.
15. Competition
• In Flight Entertainment existing in airlines, but they need
huge installation cost and is costly to upgrade also.
• Gogo - tower internet connectivity, no connection over sea,
only available in US, only applicable within aircraft.
• Row44 - satellite connection only applicable within or
around aircraft. European product.
• Air Canada Rouge installed offline PPV in flight
entertainment but with limited features.
• For places other than flight it is the wifi and mobile
internet, but then they are often more chargeable and are
meant for medium to light browsing, with limited or no
connectivity on the go.

countries including India.
