1. Importance of Discipline

A living being needs discipline. The significance of discipline can be understood like the
importance of spinal column for man. The lack of discipline will ruin mankind. Discipline is the
following of certain well-defined rules. It maintains humanness by regulating the rules. So, the
glory of human existence has surged. Books and Teachers cannot teach you discipline. It is learnt
one’s daily life during discharging one’s duties. The moment of waking to the time of going to
sleep require discipline.
Importance of discipline in everyday life
Every group, every society and political institution need discipline. Society and Government
prevail on discipline. A Nation does progress based on discipline. Man to man, society to society
is united by discipline. Therefore, the basic insignia of social life is discipline.
In every field of life like sport, in communication and relationship discipline is essential. In
national anthem, discipline keeps the same tune. Ears will be suffered from jar from the discordant
anthem. The games require umpires to enforce discipline. Players have to follow well-defined
instructions. Players have to obey rules implicitly during enthusiasm playing.
Discipline saves from intolerable life. A person in his domain to follow rules to continue work and
maintain peace. In speech or writing, It is very important that care should be taken to prevent
oneself from future implications. In walking one should also follow discipline to save others from
accident. Help ever; hurt never.
2. Student must also follow discipline in sitting and reading. Student should sit erect and keep spinal
column straight. It improves the power of memory.
Important elements of discipline
Physical purity is one of the imperative element of discipline. It does not mean just taking good
bath. The purity of mind and intellect is obtained by good thoughts and good actions.
