2. Various pieces of construction
materials/tools
Within the room the torture room the film is set in, there will
be multiple pieces of construction equipment such as:
saws, saw dust, pieces of wood, hard hats, bricks etc.
This is so the audience believes he is truly being held in a
dangerous unknown location. Also, the equipment builds
up a sense of suspense as the audience will not
understand why it is there, and it won’t make sense until
a later scene in the film where it comes into use.

3. Rope
 The rope is to clearly show the audience that he is
bound against his will, and make it look more
realistic
 I chose thick heavy duty rope to make it look
believable, as the rope looks tough and strong, with
the clear capability to hold a man down.

4. Mobile phone
 I used the mobile phone as a form of distraction, the
protagonist answers the phone, this distracts and
leads onto him being followed by two mysterious
figures
 Also, the phone is used later on within the film to
communicate with the protagonist (by the
antagonist), and he tries to use it to help him
escape.

5. Chair
 The chair is used to seat the protagonist, he is
bound to the chair
 For the beginning of the film, the chair serves as an
obstacle him, and follows the stereotypes within
films, of when someone is to be, has been or is
being tortured he is bound to a chair of some sort.
This makes it is easier for the audience to
understand what is going on within the film, easier to
follow the narrative
