Introduction to Microsoft Intune
• Manage PCs and Mobile Devices
• Distribute Windows Updates and Apps
• Secure company data with Conditional Access
• Device-Management has a lot of requirements
• Microsoft Intune offers all needed tools from the cloud
• Manage devices with Windows 8.1 / 10, iOS, Android and Windows Phone
• Helps with setting Security Policies, as well as the remote wipe and locking
of mobile phones.

Advantages of Intune
• Companies can use devices and business apps without additional costs for the
network infrastructure.
• end user can register their devices by themselves or remove them also. They can
install business apps by themselves too.
• Companies whose use already Microsoft System Center can manage with the
Configuration Manager local pc‘s and can use Microsoft Intune additionally for
managing mobile devices.
• A cloud only solution that is suitable for companies whose never before use a
software device management.
• Hybrid solutions combines intune with existent applications like Exchange active
sync or configuration manager.

Mobile Device Management
• The mobile device management of mobile devices with iOS, Windows Phone and
Windows 10 is one of the major functionalities of the solution.
• A self service portal supports the enrollment of new devices
• Generally the following list of devices can be managed in Microsoft Intune
directly:
• Apple iOS 10.0 and higher
• Google Android 5.0 and higher (Samsung KNOX included)
• Windows Phone 10
• Clients with Windows 7 / 8.1 / 10 OS

Mobile Device Management
• Intune supports BYOD scenarios, where the employee owned device
will be enrolled in Intune.
• CYOD scenarios are also supported, whose means that multiple
devices types will be offered by the company for the employees.
• Microsoft Intune supports remote maintenance, and the deletion of
company data in case of mobile device lost („remote wipe“).

App Management
• App Management is an important aspect for management of mobile devices. Intune
provides for this a company app store.
• The app store offers for the employees selected or by the company developed business
apps, so that there will be no security related issues for the company.
• The allowed apps works on the mobile devices in a secured container, copy and paste
actions are not offered to the user.
• Company related informations from emails cannot be copied from the outlook managed
app.
• Access to webpages can be limited configured with the Intune Managed Browser.
• The configuration policies in intune are also applying to the Office Apps like Word, Excel
or PowerPoint.

Conclusion
• Microsoft Intune with Managed Apps and Conditional Access is a
good opportunity to secure company data!
