Editor's Notes
Let’s talk about socially important topics…
This does not mean you should not investigate. But keep it in mind. The bigger your investigation is, the more chances that it might affect different people. for example, you may discover that someone is incompotenet. Or that someone does not disclose their assets although this person is in a public office. You may find information about some corruption scheme in a school. Or investigate an issue of a national importance. What we hear often is that some info cannot be shared with the public because it is a state secret, or that sharing it may harm national interests. The truth is, this line is misused many times to hide incompetence, corruption, and violations of laws. During your investigation, you will learn that whenever you uncover something, it may harm the interests of others but it does not mean you should stop. Instead, you should be aware of the risks, and make yourself as secure as possible. Your security is another part of this course.
What are you passionate about? What do you care about? Why? Are there bad practices there? How can you find out?
