5. ZOONOTIC NATURE
Corona viruses are zoonotic, meaning that the viruses are transmitted between
animals and humans. One of the viruses named MERS- CoV was transmitted
through dromedary camels to humans. The source of covid-19 is yet to be
determined, but the investigations are ongoing to identify the zoonotic source to
the out break.
