1. To promote river training policies of Liyang River
to local people, especially organized the cartoon
competition as a method to call for social
responsibility to protect Liyang River.
Students took the social responsibility through
cartoon competition. Then, family members
gradually did not throw garbage or used water into
Liyang River any more.
Neighborhood residents support the policies to
protect the Liyang River and cooperate with the
government's actions.

Purpose
Significance
 Liyang River is one of the most important
rivers in Lishui. Since 2013, the government
has implemented measures to improve the
water quality of the river.
 River training project has resulted in factories
and other industries forbidden to pollute the
water.
 Local residents are still not committed to
protecting the riven and throw garbage and
used water into Liyang River.
 The government plans to use more social
responsibility methods to inform residents
about the importance of their involvement.

The influences can be evaluated by a survey of
residents, observation of residents' behaviors
and current water quality of Liyang River.
