Urban & Community Forestry Program Grants

• Up to $20,000 per project
• Requires a 1:1 match to awarded amount
• Must be in areas of: education about urban
  forests, protecting heritage trees, reducing risk of
  invasive species, managing hazard trees, tree
  planting, managing developed areas, training
  arborists, or collecting data on wildlife using
  urban forests.
• USDA-Forest Service Program; USDA is an equal
  opportunity employer.

Community Impact Grants Program
• Provides grants up to $5,000 in the form of
  The Home Depot gift cards for purchase of
  tools, materials, or services
• Available to nonprofit
  organizations, schools, public service agencies
  that are using volunteers to improve the
  physical health of their communities

  three years to ensure every veteran has a safe

Program
• The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation

  $250,000 with a 1:1 local match requirement.

• Grants are aimed at increasing the number of
  youth participating in activities on public
  lands.

Captain Planet Foundation primarily makes

   food choices.

   sprouts a new opportunity for kids to cultivate healthy eating
   habits. Teaching kids to garden helps them learn about complex
   topics like sustainability and conservation, food systems and
   community awareness.
• School Garden Grant window opens October 1, 2012.
