6. Another thing which is so appealing about this trailer is that the suspense of music and the animalist sounds continues to entice the viewers throughout the end. The statement ‘One man has survived’ may come across as startling, seen as the entire New York seems secluded. But then the last sentence says ‘The last man on Earth… is not alone’ this may confuse the fans and would be engulfed in thinking about the whole theory.

The trailer ends with a dramatic sound track and Will Smith exclaiming ‘ NOOOO!’ and with the immediate arrival of the big font writing ‘ WILL SMITH’ which connotes that he is the star of the film. Moreover, he is known for his other Sci-fi, action, comedy films who people can recognize and relate to him. The fact that his name stands above the film title can reinforce the idea that he is the unique selling point and cleverly the producers have used his name to draw audience’s attention that it is the legend – Will Smith, a well known actor for his other admirable work.

Most of the shots in the trailer are shown in dark background colours such as black which could imply that the events are taking place within film are bleak and disastrous, considering presumably a mysterious plague will vacuum the entire New York city and that only one man will remain alive- this could raise interest of the audience as well as in the film as people will be curious about whether he will last till the end or not.
9. Lastly, the font of the title is grey coloured, which connotes negative message such as: cold, misery, destruction, and the end of the world.
10. Obviously, by observing this particular trailer, I gathered that it is clearly character based as well as focused on the other disturb circumstances of people. Therefore, it is more concentrated on the most action scenes rather than the aftermath. Which is a good quality because it does not necessarily let out a lot to the audience. It is keeping the audience in anticipation as to what might or might not happen according to an individual prediction.
11. All in all, I like the threatening yet enigmatic impression about this chosen trailer, as I would much prefer the notion for my trailer too. I like the fact that the entire trailer is focusing on the protagonist’s life issues and how the plot merely surrounds him. As it wouldn’t bombard the audience with many characters, which may as a result leave them confused whereas only one character may make it much easier for the viewers to follow and immerse in and relate to the film. The film does not give much away like the rest of the other trailers, however this does give a slight sense of interest as it is unusual to see the world so peaceful but yet quite hostile.
