Fall again. Fall better. | Inspired by Samuel Beckett’s bleakly uplifting pronouncement “Try Again. Fail Again. Fail better,” the
workshop conjuncts the actions of “fail” and “fall,” engage artists, students, professionals, and business people, politicians,
NGO’s and the general public to learn how to “fall better” and “fail better.”

and viral artificial life.
Immersion into Noise | The workshop focuses on the history of the art of noise in relationship to immersion and its present
manifestations, the art of noise in the digital age. The artist will present a –life animations to illustrate the concept and familiarize
the students with his approach to noise as art in an immersive context.

Graham Harwood (YoHa, United Kingdom) British pioneer artists’ collective member using data research to explore the
complex relationships between power, art and media in a globalized world. Using a socially active aesthetic, they connected
spaces that included simultaneously the art gallery, public phone networks, the internet and the workshop.
Shih-Chieh Ilya Li (Taiwan), professor at the Sociology Dept. of National Tsing Hua University of Taiwan; founder of
Culturemondo.

Ulf Langheinrichs (Germany), one of the famous Media-Art collaboration GRANULAR-SYNTHESIS, whose artistic practice
reaches from sound design and computer based composition to massive sound, light and 3D image projections both as
performances and installations.
Strategies of Immersion in Sound and Image towards a Total Field Experience | The workshop focuses on two main
aspects: 1) Artists and artworks that exemplify aesthetic positions in creating immersive total field experiences; 2) Various ways
of establishing virtual space, artificial time and ways of connecting to an audience (the visitor, listener, viewer, etc.).

Micro Narratives: Descriptions of Invented Time & Space | The workshop focuses on the philosophical aspects of moving
image and moving image narratives that underpin the experience of immersion for broader context of use in 2D, real space of
3D environments.
