Reflective Essay On Group Presentation
Reflection Paper Honestly, my personal experience during this group presentation was pleasant without too many difficulties. I tried to manager my
time in order to have my paperwork and presentation completed before the due date. However, some incompatibilities with some of the team
member's schedule were one of the inconvenient found during this process. My journey was initiated through a survey and review of the chapter
25th which is referent to workplace issues, Nursing Today book; I also checked other chapters related to safety such as chapter 22 on patient's
safety and chapter 11 on how to obtain a safer communication. During our first interaction as a group on March 18th 2016, we discussed the
chapters involved in the presentation, and which type of presentation should we develop. We had some ideas in order to make the presentation more

We discussed our first attempt to meet physically in order to organize and assign the responsibilities to each team member. At the end of our
conversation we all agreed to meet on Friday march 25th after class. On March 25th during our meeting after class, I offered myself to create an
outline as guide, to direct us into the topics related to safety; listed some of the more relevant topics to be cover in our presentation. I sent it through
text message and via email, then which one of us would be able to select the topic that appeared more interesting to each one. On March 26th I

You would need to speak to your customers politely and have a nice smooth tone just the way you talk to your tutor and the way you would talk if
you was in a interview. You would have to know when you should be formal and informal on the phone or speaking to your manager. Verbal
communication is when you make a speech with another person and non verbal can be done by body language and sign language. Being assertive
in listening and speaking will mean that your intentions are clear to others and you understand others clearly and correctly. You would have to speak
clearly so that your customer understands. Also the pace of your voice which you speak it is not a good impression if you speak slow which will

Communicating with all the other organisers will help meet the organisation function more effectively as the business will run a lot smoother and
everyone in the business will know what is happening, and what they have to do to keep the business running. Keeping a steady frame of mind is good
communication and when a problem crops up, each area leader should get together and talk through the problems and come to some sort of agreement.

Although this wasn't a big presentation, I believed that body movement might have helped make it more interesting. I know for myself, if I do a big
presentation, I try to move my hands around. When I communicate through emails, I try to be really courteous to my members because something I
say, someone else might take it differently. I use a lot of short cuts when I type and sometimes people might not understand what it means. When I
emailed two group members that I don't usually talk to online, they kind of had trouble understanding what I was trying to say. To solve that, I just
called them up and explained why I chose United Way to give our money to. The rest of the members were ok with email. The best way for our
group to communicate with each other was either in class or through the email system. So far, all team members have participated in most of the

the presentation even starts (Koegel, 45). I arrived to the venue early, made sure my presentation was easily accessible, and checked to see if my slides

The voice is a valuable tool to becoming an exceptional presenter (Koegel, 84). I used my voice as an effective asset throughout my presentation. My

audience attention. According to studies, eighty–four percent of the impact you have comes from your voice, not your words. I was very careful to

When my classmates and I were able to work on our group PowerPoint, we made an outline of what we wanted our slides to be. We decided to have a
two slides per argument; one for the actual argument and the other for an image, graph or any other supporting evidence. Then we added a title, intro,
conclusion and a work cited slides. After creating an outline, we distributed the arguments evenly, but did not mention the remaining slides. To have
the PowerPoint file available to all of us, we uploaded it onto Google Drive and shared the file with the group. We did not, however, specify what kind
of tone we wanted in the presentation. This caused us all to aim for different types of presentations rather than creating a cohesive project.

  • 1. Reflective Essay On Group Presentation Reflection Paper Honestly, my personal experience during this group presentation was pleasant without too many difficulties. I tried to manager my time in order to have my paperwork and presentation completed before the due date. However, some incompatibilities with some of the team member's schedule were one of the inconvenient found during this process. My journey was initiated through a survey and review of the chapter 25th which is referent to workplace issues, Nursing Today book; I also checked other chapters related to safety such as chapter 22 on patient's safety and chapter 11 on how to obtain a safer communication. During our first interaction as a group on March 18th 2016, we discussed the chapters involved in the presentation, and which type of presentation should we develop. We had some ideas in order to make the presentation more dynamic and interactive. One of these ideas was to create a game such as jeopardy or a production of our own video which would foster a better interaction. Most of us have met a week earlier to discuss what we were going to talk about during the presentation. We put it together on PowerPoint and quickly went over all the slides.
