Reflection Paper Honestly, my personal experience during this group presentation was pleasant without too many difficulties. I tried to manager my
time in order to have my paperwork and presentation completed before the due date. However, some incompatibilities with some of the team
member's schedule were one of the inconvenient found during this process. My journey was initiated through a survey and review of the chapter
25th which is referent to workplace issues, Nursing Today book; I also checked other chapters related to safety such as chapter 22 on patient's
safety and chapter 11 on how to obtain a safer communication. During our first interaction as a group on March 18th 2016, we discussed the

We discussed our first attempt to meet physically in order to organize and assign the responsibilities to each team member. At the end of our
conversation we all agreed to meet on Friday march 25th after class. On March 25th during our meeting after class, I offered myself to create an
outline as guide, to direct us into the topics related to safety; listed some of the more relevant topics to be cover in our presentation. I sent it through

On Tuesday before class started, we had a group meeting concerning our oral presentation. Most of us have met a week earlier to discuss what we

Although this wasn't a big presentation, I believed that body movement might have helped make it more interesting. I know for myself, if I do a big
presentation, I try to move my hands around. When I communicate through emails, I try to be really courteous to my members because something I
say, someone else might take it differently. I use a lot of short cuts when I type and sometimes people might not understand what it means. When I

Reflection On Group Presentation
For our group presentation, my peers and I had a group chat and a shared file to work with. Most of our communication was via Facebook
Messenger and Google Docs and during class time. Though this method eased our work and gave us flexibility, it also caused some problems that we
did not foresee. I expected this project to be taxing, but instead found it much easier. Thegroup overall was about the same as an essay, but with a visual
twist which was interesting.
When my classmates and I were able to work on our group PowerPoint, we made an outline of what we wanted our slides to be. We decided to have a
two slides per argument; one for the actual argument and the other for an image, graph or any other supporting evidence. Then we added a title, intro,
conclusion and a work cited slides. After creating an outline, we distributed the arguments evenly, but did not mention the remaining slides. To have
the PowerPoint file available to all of us, we uploaded it onto Google Drive and shared the file with the group. We did not, however, specify what kind

about starting a presentation. First the subject matter must be refined, the purpose of the presentation decided and the tone set. From this point it is
easier to start gathering materials, the sources will be dictated by the type of presentation being given. If the presentation is lighter in nature it would be

Many may be unable to identify the differences offhand but the written word passed off as spoken will jar to an audience who may then disengage
from a presentation that sounds stilted and impersonal. The spoken word allows for colloquialisms, words which under the under the usual
grammatical restraints would be frowned upon, become acceptable, even preferable as they bring the presenter closer to their audience. It implies that
the speaker is not reading off a script but actually talking to the audience. It creates the illusion that they are participating in a conversation rather than
being talked at, which may cause them to become detached from the speaker. A more relaxed conversational tone builds rapport and will go a long
way towards maintaining the attention of the room. When reading written text the reader is able to go at their own pace, look up certain words or
re–read a sentence. When listening to spoken word this is not possible. As Jay and Jay (2004) point out, "...for writing for that sort of communication
you have to think in new ways about clarity and lucidity: in a presentation you not only have to present all the relevant information clearly, you also
have to present it in the best order for instant assimilation (p.41)." A good presentation is one which fulfils its brief, whether that be to entertain, inform
