1. HOW TO DO THE SIX
COLORED CUBE

2. SOME THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
BEFORE YOU GET STARTED
• The colors are Red, Green, Blue, Yellow,
Orange, and White.
• The Faces are: F, Front, L , Left, R is Right,
U is Up, D is Down and B is Back. When I
mention these letters you are to turn 90°
clockwise.
• Prime is the same thing as regular but
you just turn counter clockwise. For
example, F prime is 90° counter
clockwise.
• The pieces are, edges which have two
sides and two colors, centers which is
the middle of each color, and corners
which have three sides and three
colors.

3. THE FIRST LAYER
LAYER 1 PHASE 1- THE CROSS
FOR LAYER 1 PHASE 1 YOU NEED TO MAKE A
CROSS ON ONE SIDE.
• Choose a color and find its edge on one side.
• Then you connect the color connected to the
backside of the color you chose to its same
center.
• Then connect your color to its center.
• Then repeat the sequence 4 times for all sides
and play with the cube to have a cross on your
chosen color side. You must keep all the edge
back side colors lined up with the center colors.
• When you finish the cross, check all the back
edge colors are lined up with their correct
center colors!
LAYER 1 PHASE 2- CORNERS
FOR LAYER 1 PHASE 2 YOU NEED TO FIND
CORNERS.
• Find the Optimal positions which is your
color cross must be facing upwards while
a bottom corner (which is the 3rd layer) in
your color is facing you.
• The Optimal position color is a corner
piece and must match the colors on the
back sides.
• Repeat this 4 times to get the chosen
color complete while keeping all the
other sides look like they a have a T
shape.
• Now you should have one side complete!

4. SECOND LAYER
This Layer consists of 4 edges
• Find an out of place edge that does
not consist of your bottom color.
• Align the edge with it’s appropriate
center .
• Then look at the color on its back
side, that color will ether be on the
right or left side of it, turn away from
it.
• Then you bring down the top bring it
back and move the side back up.
• When you do that you lose a corner
to the corner you started with.
• Do this 4 times, with four edges.

5. THIRD LAYER
The Dot
The Rod
L Shape
Now look at the bottom color Dot and flip it
facing upwards.
For this one face it upward and the hold the
rod horizontally then do the same algorithm
Face it up have one of the hands
face you, and do the same algorithm
Choose one of the side colors to do the
algorithm. The algorithm you need to follow
is F R, U R, U F. Repeat this 3 times.
You should end up with an L shape on all
sides.
The algorithm you need to follow is F R U R,
U, F Repeat this 3 times.

6. LAYER 3 PHASE 2
Once you are done with the cross this
is what you have to do=
• Turn the top so that at least two
sides are aligned
• Complete this algorithm 4 times
• R U2, R, R U,R.

7. LAYER 3 PHASE 3 AND LAYER 4
LAYER 3 PHASE 3-Place in corners turn
corners.
• Do this algorithm
• L,U R U, L U R,
• Do this 4 times
LAYER 4
• Do this algorithm after the last one. (
This is the longest algorithm)
• R U2 R, U, R U, R, L, U2 L UL, U. do this
2 times on each side.

8. YOUR FINISHED THE RUBIK’S CUBE
If you followed my steps correctly you
have done the rubik’s cube.
