System Dynamics focuses on understanding the overall
behavior of complex systems over time. It uses stocks, flows,
and feedback loops to represent the interactions between
different components of a system. It's like looking at the big
picture and understanding how things change as time goes on.
Example:-
You'd use SD to model the overall flow of traffic on a
road network, focusing on variables like traffic
volume, congestion, and travel times. Feedback loops
could represent how congestion influences travel
speed.
Advantages
• Long-Term Trends: It's great for studying how systems
change over extended periods.
• Policy Testing: Helps test different policies or strategies and
their effects.
• Simplicity: Focuses on overall trends and interactions,
ignoring smaller details.
• Feedback Loops: Captures how changes loop back and
affect the system.
Disadvantages
• Less Individual Detail: Doesn't focus much on individual
entities' behavior.
• Learning Curve: Can be complex to set up and understand.
• Complexity Limitation: Might not handle intricate

AnyLogic is a popular multi-method simulation software that supports asystem
dynamics modeling. To create an system dynamics simulation in AnyLogic, you
typically follow these steps:
 Define System:
Identify components and their relationships.
 Build Model:
Create new "System Dynamics" model in AnyLogic.
Drag and drop components onto the graphical editor.
 Equations:
Specify equations for variables' changes over time.
Use properties to input differential equations.
