I am looking for an opportunity to use my work skills and my soft skills in a position that will
benefit both the company that employees me, as well as myself, thus creating new growth for
both.
I am currently employed as a Customer Service Representative for Experience Works. I have
been with this company for a year, since October of 2014, and by utilizing flexible working
arrangements Experience Works has allowed me to work from my home. I clockin using Kronos
sometimes as much as an hour and a half ahead of time just to get started. Still, because
Experience Works is a Non-Profit organization, and their budget is limited, I am not allowed to
work overtime.
In this position, I am able to prove my communication skills by working many different projects.
I have been able to help in resolving a few issues in accordance with company policies. I have
been of help in preparing short personal bios for my employer to use in meetings thus giving
them the chance for a more personal approach. This would also help to identify possible sources
of opposition thus alleviating some fears of surprises.
I have helped in projects that have placed me outside the normal parameters of a customer
service rep. These projects have given me opportunities to improve my investigative skills, my
online research skills as well as my intuitive listening abilities. These projects have been used to
help my employers make organizational and personnel decisions. Because of my ability to set
aside personal feelings, I have never had a problem working with and/or dealing with peoples of
other cultures. As for the so called language barrier; it may take a few extra moments and a little
bit of the manipulating of available resources, but even this barrier can be overcome.
