2. objectives
• To introduce the mesh current method
• To formulate mesh current equations
• To solve electric circuits using mesh current method

3. •Mesh:
• Mesh is a loop that does not include any other loop.
•Steps:
• Identify the number of meshes
• Assign the current to each mesh
• Apply KVL around each loop and form equations in term of loop
current
• Solve the resulting system of linear equations

6. 6i1+14i2=20
i2=i1+6
After solving simultaneously we get:
i1=-3.2A
i2=2.8A
