Position: Events Manager- Department Head Qatar Museums Authority - Alain Du Casse
Responsibilities:
 Organize and handling all workshops, ceremonies, culture events, exhibitions, galleries
openings, meetings, festivals and events at Qatar museums.
 Directing, coordinate, oversee, execute and on site of all events that take place to ensure
smooth operation.
 Handling all Qatar museums events includes Top VIP events
 Welcome, greet and escort high profile end guests.
 Handling guest and employee inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner
 Effectively negotiate pricing
 Monitor performance of staff and ensure all procedures are completed to the department

 Assisting the director of sales & marketing to set the sales strategy according the market
feedback, surveys & trends.
 Prepare status, forecasts and period end reports, and assist in preparation of budget to keep
management abreast of activities.
 Work closely with the director of sales & marketing to target accounts and develop activities
with accounts according to business needs of the hotel

business needs, product and competition.

planner associations.
 Finalizes detailed arrangements on both rooms and functions with clients and prepares the final
contract accordingly.
 Traces for confirmations and deposit with clients in accordance with the guidelines of cut off
dates.
 Reviews the contracts of corporate meetings and conventions for cut off dates, special
arrangements / requirements committed to clients.
 Prepares and distributes Event Orders and Corporate Meetings/Conventions Group Order
outlining in-house arrangements to include room block, catering arrangements and billing
instructions, et., at latest 7 days prior to the first arrival.
Grand Hyatt Cairo Hotel March 2008 until September 2008
Position: Convention Sales Executive Sales & Marketing - Events Department
Responsibilities:
 Handle Group Reservations and Conferences.
 Prepare the daily, weekly and revenue reports.
 Handling booking emails & faxes for both Travel Agencies and Corporate account.
 Direct, coordinate, oversee and execute all events taking place at the hotel in cooperation with
the Banquet Service team.
 Manage sales calls effectively to generate more revenue for the events department.
 Issuing Proposals, Contracts and BEOs
 Coordinate events details with all concerned persons internally and with the end user.
 Systematically and efficiently call on prioritized accounts and report findings and opportunities
to the Director of Events.
 Define and target key accounts, utilizing the Delphi database and develop appropriate and

Position: Sales Coordinator Sales & Marketing
Responsibilities:
 To develop a network of local contacts to stimulate event business for the hotel.
 To maintain complete and supported records of all sales agreements, contract and quotes for
the hotel as per Hotel Policies & Procedures.
 To achieve targets in terms of event revenue as per business plan.
 To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
 To ensure that an efficient and accurate filing system, both manual as well as electronic is
