OVERVIEW
Leading major EPC estimates, my primary responsibilities include forming an effective estimating
team, defining and delegating estimate responsibilities and developing and implementing a schedule
for both estimating and proposal development. In my duties, I establish specific responsibilities and
support systems for each level of the estimating team to provide for optimum communication,
problem solving and stewardship of company’s resources. I am well versed in managing Requests
for Proposals, acting as a direct representative to the Owner and/or Owner’s Engineer and
implementing project management systems. In my duties as Principal Estimator, I strive to provide
an optimum work environment for those directly under my supervision, as well as insuring my staff
has the information and tools necessary to complete a competitive bid in a timely manner.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Williamsport Area Community College, Williamsport, Pennsylvania - Electrical Construction
Current work experience includes 19 years estimating in Power, Petrochemical, Mining, and other
types of heavy industrial construction projects with a thorough knowledge of all associated systems. I
also possess a comprehensive knowledge of conceptual estimating techniques, selective engineering
disciplines, cost control systems, building systems and components, project scheduling methods and
techniques, contractual language and ramifications. I have the ability to estimate all types of
projects/contracts, to coordinate and supervise group work efforts, and to represent the company on
any essential matters.
The past 4 years I have been the lead estimator on 3 major EPC power projects located in Alberta,
Canada. Teamed up with Canadian JV Partners, my team worked together developing two complete
estimates which we reconciled quantities, labor, subcontracts and indirect costs.
Prior experience includes several years’ supervisory experience on heavy industrial projects including
geothermal power plants, fiberglass plant modernization, refinery work, state-of-the-art sodium azide
facility, copper smelter, mining and material handling projects.
