17. “Today’s lesson will focus on
THREE SPECIFIC FATHERS from
the bible and how their obedience
to God played a part in God’s plan
to save mankind through his son,
Jesus.”
“Fathers of the Bible”
18. NOAH
Genesis 6:6-10
New InternationalVersion
6 The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on
the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So
the LORD said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the
human race I have created—and with them the animals, the
birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I
regret that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found FAVOR in
the eyes of the LORD.
19. NOAH
Genesis 6:6-10 New InternationalVersion
9 This is the account of Noah and his family.
Noah was a RIGHTEOUS man,
BLAMELESS among the people of his time, and
he walked faithfully with God. 10 Noah had three
sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth.
21. NOAH
NewTestament
Hebrews 11:7 New InternationalVersion
7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet
seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his
faith he condemned the world and became heir of the
righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
22. NOAH
23. NOAH
“Noah was faithful and God considered
him ‘blameless’ even though he wasn’t
perfect. But Noah’s ‘favor’ with the
Lord shows us that God knows our
hearts and will reward us for our own
faith.”
24. ABRAHAM
Genesis 22: 1-2 New InternationalVersion
1Some time later God testedAbraham. He said to him, “Abraham!”
“Here I am,” he replied.
2Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—
Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt
offering on a mountain I will show you.”
25. ABRAHAM
Genesis 22: 9-12 New InternationalVersion
9 When they reached the place God had told him
about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on
it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of
the wood. 10 Then he reached out his hand and took the
knife to slay his son. 11 But the angel of the LORD called out to
him from heaven, “Abraham!Abraham!”
“Here I am,” he replied.
12 “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything
to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not
withheld from me your son, your only son.”
27. ABRAHAM’S QUALITIES
Trusting
“Abraham was also rewarded for his trust in
God because he became the leader of the
Hebrew people and heir to the Savior, Jesus
Christ. We can also expect God to do amazing
things when we are willing to make sacrifices
to obey God.”
28. JOSEPH
Matthew 1:18-24
New InternationalVersion
Joseph Accepts Jesus as His Son
18This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[a]:
His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but
before they came together, she was found to be pregnant
through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was
faithful to the law, and yet[b] did not want to expose her to
public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
29. JOSEPH
Matthew 1:18-24
20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the
Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph
son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as
your wife, because what is conceived in her is from
the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and
you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will
save his people from their sins.”
30. JOSEPH
OBEDIENT & HUMBLE
“Isn’t it fascinating that
Joseph willingly chose to be Jesus’
father even though he knew there were
challenges ahead?
31. JOSEPH
OBEDIENT & HUMBLE
We learn from Joseph’s
example that we can obediently
serve God even when we
have a tough job ahead.
32. JOSEPH
Joseph shows us the
protective nature of God
through his willingness to
be a part of God’s plans.
Noah was chosen by God because he was faithful even while living in an evil world.
Father you know who is incredibly faithful even though he’s experienced many struggles and trials.
Noah’s “holy fear” lead him to obedience
he was rewarded by not only saving the lives of his own family but by becoming an “heir of righteousness (of Christ).
choose obedience to God over anything the world has to offer
we should obey him even when it’s hard
Sacrifice of Time
Give of Our Energy
Give of Our Finances
Give of Our Talents
Give of Our Plans
God made the biggest sacrifice of all – sending his son, Jesus, to die for us!
Our fathers scarifies for their family – Thank you
But also in our service to God, we made sacrifices. But God will surely reward us in due time
Do you think it was an easy job to protect Jesus?
“God intends all fathers to be examples of his loving and protective nature. Even when human fathers fail, we can trust in a God who is always there for us.
God has put fathers in a special place to minister and lead their families.
To the fathers we will pray that God will lead us the way.
Just do what God wants us to do. Nothing more nothing less
Every step of the way you know God is with you. Many times we know God wants us to do this thing. But we just ignore him.
This time why not follow this three fathers Noah, Abraham, and Joseph. To be Obedient and Faithful fathers.
