3. 1. Reasons:
• English is one of the most widely known languages, its importance,
and influence in the world cannot be denied globally, especially in the
current International Economic Integration.
• Speaking is deemed to be the most important skill BUT the score of
speaking skills takes a lower percentage than other skills.
• These minimal pairs are difficult to pronounce.
• Improving communication in English
6. Finding 1:
Finding 1: 86,6% of the 30 students have problems with/θ/ sounds and the words that are frequently mispronounced
are: Thursday, Both, Through, and Think.
86,6% out of 30 people have problems with the sound /θ/: 53,3% Poor and 33,3% Fair. It seems to be a disappointing
result.

Finding 2: 60% of the 30 students have problems //
sounds and the words that are frequently
mispronounced are: Others.
11. Reason 3:
During the teaching process, teachers do not have enough time
to correct pronunciation errors for all students, and students
also do not practice and communicate much.
12. Solutions:
For students:
- Need to practice English pronunciation regularly.
- Use some English study apps to practice pronunciation.
- Study English pronunciation from teachers, friends, …
- Listen and watch some videos about English pronunciation.
- Record what you say.
- Use every way you can to communicate with other people in English.

- Practice English pronunciation regularly
- Pay more attention to teaching English pronunciation in class.
- Focus on learning how to pronounce English more.
- Show students more videos about English pronunciation so that they can learn from them too.
- Watch some videos about English pronunciation by native speakers to fix some common mistakes.
- Use every way you can to communicate with your students in English.
